did you ever think that YOU'RE the one being too negative with your comments? the one pointing their finger isn't so perfect... ok ok i'm joking :-p it's just a forum, a screen in front of our faces when we're bored... people should know not to take things personally if there's some moron on here posting hatred to people he/she doesn't even know. *shrugs* the way i see it, if i don't like something some stranger writes, i won't bother reading it. it's too bad we can reach into the computer and just smack the rude ones in the back of the head.... |

just a side note.. i see you're 13. DO NOT RESTRICT YOUR FOOD INTAKE! you're young. and should be eating quite a bit, because you're growing. not saying you have an eating disorder... but with anorexia/bulemia, at such a young age (i was anorexic and bulemic from the age of 14...kids can be mean and call other kids fat, it's hard... i was overweight when i was 12/13....) but what happens, is it messes up your body.... in so many ways.... let's just say... i'm 24 now, and my periods are so irrregular that my chances of having a baby with my fiance are slim... and my teeth got so damaged from throwing up when i was in my early teens that i've actually had my wisdom teeth and molars removed because they were so broken...i had digestive problems for the longest time, and i STILL can't really drink milk on it's own because my stomach can't handle it... if you start to find that you're starving yourself, and obsessed with losing weight, and think you're fat even though people tell you you're too thin--please seek some professional help...

i've been through this a few times.. and the ONLY way to stop the cycle of going up and down (which is sooooo beyond bad for you!!!), is to force yourself to eat healthy. but at the same time, allow yourself the occasional treat! what i've found helps the most right now, is putting notes for myself in places. i have notes in my purse, where my money is.. and on my cellphone display picture, telling me to not eat the junk food and go to the gym. (i'm in time-stress mode, as my wedding is coming up on the 24th..) so that's a good way to push yourself away from the bad foods... also, a lot of pubs and restaurants have a healthier choice menu, so if you like going out with friends but dread the wings and pub-food, just order something healthier... if you like bread, switch to dempster's wraps. the small ones have about 90 calories each, and taste great... you also end up using less sandwhich meat/topping/whatever on a wrap than you do bread. getting in shape, is not about restricting yourself from things you love, it's about a lifestyle alteration, and finding ways to enjoy healthy foods... also, don't focus too much on the number on the scale. if anything, invest in a scale that also measures body fat percent... because you can work out and eat healthy, but weigh yourself and notice the numbers go up.. but always remember---muscle weighs more than fat! i got a bit upset thinking that i gained two pounds. but also noticed, my bodyfat percent went down by two! so really, that's like losing weight. the numbers aren't always a deciding factor... if you feel uncomfortable with "flabby spots" which i'm sure you don't have... but if you feel worried, do a turbojam video. they're amazing.. or even get a personal trainer, just for a month or two, and have them help you work through a program to tone things up. the WORST thing a person can do for their body is to limit the amount of food they take in. in the long run, all this will do is cause their bodies to be in starvation mode, and you will gain weight after you get "fed up" of eating like a rabbit. you have to keep your metabolism up. and a few great words of advice i've been given recently:
EAT BREAKFAST LIKE A KING, LUNCH LIKE A PRINCE, AND DINNER LIKE A COLLEGE KID WITH A MAXED OUT CREDIT CARD.
best of luck! if you have any questions, feel free to ask! having an obsession with weight has actually allowed me to learn a few things. :) don't stress too much lady! <3 |

perms.. i've never gotten one.. i think i've just crimped my hair. (i loved th 80's for a while... ;) ) and i've done extensions way too many times. glue in ones, are terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had bald patches in amongst my damaged hair because of it... and it's only now starting to be more healthy (it's another good reason i have short hair.. i've grown out the damaged hair, and my hair's super thick so the patches are now gone! :) )
hair is really frustrating. i love the movie Coneheads. *sigh* |

idygodiva: WOAH! .. that's all i can say! and yeah, the inbetween stage , and frustrations that it drags along with it, is exactly what has caused me to keep my hair short since i was 18 LOL i can't bring myself to try to grow it out anymore :( someday. :) probably not. i like short hair :) |

as much as i don't want to laugh, i can't help it... i'm not laughing AT you, i promise.. i just totally relate to this. short is good, and with the right styling (and maybe growing out the cut by an inch or so) anyone can pull it off! you should know this! you lost 12 lbs. don't call yourself a fatty! you know who the fatties are? the people that sit on their butts all day doing nothing but eating junk food, and don't work out, and don't walk anywhere. and don't make an effort to get healthy. those are the fatties. you are a mover, not a sitter! :) don't get discouraged just because you don't like your hair! (haaha, jeeze, i feel like i'm talking to myself come to think of it.....) just before my friend's wedding, i had gotten a hair cut (my first time in a salon in 6 years.. i always do mine myself), and oh my. it was horrible. HORRIBLE. and i felt so ugly, and fat, and nasty because of it. so i understand.. but don't fret! :) |

unfortunately (sort of unfortunately anyways..) there's no bra to be worn with the dress... it's extremely tight fitted to the torso/bust area, so there's not even room for me in it letalone a bra hahahah... but i see what you mean... i could work around with that! and they really are lucky... my fiance was saying how he just got his measurements taken... and i just give him this blank stare... |

weight fluctuation, headaches, bloating, water retention, disrupted movements... yeah, that sounds about right. i'd guess that 99% of women go through this every month LOL but if it's causing a lot of discomfort, go to a doctor and get some tests done.. i had gotten pretty bad a couple of months ago, and had to get an ultrasound to check for ovarian cancer...(just to be safe. i was fine though) ... but on top of all of that, my periods are irregular, so i never even know when i ovulate or am going to have aunt flow visiting.... also at the age of 40+, you could be coming up to (early) menopause... so going to the doctor to find out about that would be a good idea too... it's not too fun being a woman. |

i'm attempting this goal too! :) i have 17 days left before my wedding, so i really have to bounce back from the holidays.. somehow, i gained 5 lbs over the christmas break..... happily: my body fat % has gone down by a couple percent in the past 5 days! but i'm still not happy with the numbers.... but i did start working out daily from sunday (was doing 1-2 days per week of serious workouts) but i've now gone: sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday.. and i plan on going every day for the next 16 days.. also am doing turbo jam. i must say it's great! i'm suprised... the 20 minute routine really gives a good little workout, and the standing abs are great! (what's this shed video people are talking about? 30 day shed? )

cyntrita: another yummy thing to work with are things like cellery, bean sprouts, diced tomatoes, garlic, red onions, snowpeas. put a few drops of extra virgin olive oil in a pan on medium heat for a few minutes. toss on: chopped cellery, crushed/chopped garlic, diced (tiny!) red onions. (feel free to add a dash of cayan pepper, and black pepper to taste if you like! or other spices work! roasted red pepper flakes are amazing with it...) after a couple of minutes, add the snow peas, diced tomatoes and bean sprouts. continue to cook on medium heat for about 8 minutes, (you want the bean sprouts to cook and tomatoes, but not to get soggy!!! and snowpeas don't take long to cook..), and viola! a yummy side or main dish! for very very few calories... :) you can also add cabbage to this, or whole grain pasta (after the pasta's been cooked obviously). |

hey, i just wanted to say: keep positive with this! it may take you a while, but don't give up! about one year and a half ago now, i weighed in between 145-150 on average. to date, i hover between 125-130 (130 today...but due to christmas eating..my talent and curse is that i'm an amazing cook/baker) through out the year and a half, i would boune from weight to weigh.. some weeks i was on the lower end, some weeks i was up at 135-140 again... don't let times like that get you down, because anything small can make people (especially women) fluctuate like mad, and just because you go back up to the 140's doesn't mean you fail! :)

it fits alright... well it did a couple of weeks ago. i have to try it on again by this time next week. it's not so much tight (the style of it holds pretty much everything in around the corsette area), but the uncomfortable areas are right around the armpits and upper back, making it difficult to zip up--and i'm afraid it won't zip up, or stay up... it's a tigh fitted dress on the corsette, ballgown type bottom (one piece). i'm trying to not worry too much about it, but any time i pass by a mirror, i start freaking out. i'm hoping it's one of those "just in my head" moments. 17 days SEEMS like a lot of time, but it's really not. |

side-note:
i'm not one of those girls to say "i'm so fat! i'm so fat!" (on my bad days i am like that, but that's because of issues that i have within my mind from since my teenage years...) |
