The Lounge why are some people so ugly? Aug 23 2009

because I don't have that kind of commitment :)

When a woman wears makeup, chances are their appearence is enhanced, but I feel when one wears makeup for a while, and then suddenly doesn't (ex. they didn't have time), thier natural appearence looks worse than I viewed it before they had even started wearing makeup at all, if that makes sense?  It's like, you set a higher standard after you start wearing it normally.

and anyway, I also feel I don't need it.  My skin's not loaded with zits and I have naturally long, black lashes.  I like my natural beauty :)

Though, I can understand that some people like to wear it.  It's all in the person.

Read up on going "CG" (curly girl)  I have naturally wavy hair, and after learning how to realllyyy take care of curly hair, wow--your hair is so much more tame, healthy, and nice.  It may take a little bit, but learning the right way to care for curls will give u the results you want, it's so worth it :)

check out livecurlylivefree.com, naturallycurly.com, or the book "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey, i believe.

Also, in addition to what the 2 posters above me suggested, if you really do feel "flabby" in some areas, why not try out toning up a bit? There's a bunch of stuff around the forums about people wanting to tone up flab on thier healthy-weight bodies.  Look around fitness or just search the forums for toning.  Even then, don't lose too much more, keep eatin right, excersize, and don't worry about those other girls :)

The last posters totally right..try wearing clothes that flatter your shape instead.  Wear flare jeans to balance out your thighs, stay away from skinny leg pants.

Maybe measure how much marinade you made, how much is left over, and subtract the amount? That's the only thing I can think of.

Well I can sy I also read it all, and I feel for you.

I'm 15 and am also not axactly popular or anything, and wow I remember in my middle school years, being 13, I was made fun of all the time (and I'm sure I still am for that matter).  I didn't really give one towards what people thought, so I wore what I felt and did my hair the way I felt.  I never liked wearing jeans until highschool..so all of my non-jean pants were something people constantly asked me about/talked about, and I always had my super long, frizzy hair in braids, just because I didn't care about styling it.  So, I can relate to your post, and I also do have nights when I cry to sleep, I have some great friends and a good family, but still, I can relate.

And actually, I'm very impressed of how you are handling all of this, and all (well, most) of the posts above me are right: it will get better.  One of the best things you could do are join a club that interests you in school, it is a great way to meet new people.  I personally do my school's drama/musicals and it's very fun, and it gives you more confidence too!  If you learn to love yourself, others will too, and life really changes for the better after you discover the qualities in yourself.  Just keep goin.

Foods Can Green Tea actually make you loose weight? May 24 2009

If you google it, alot of sources will tell you that. It's true it can help speed up your metabolism a little, but its not going to be miracle weightloss or anything.  I recall somewhere saying it can help you lose around 8 more pounds a year by drinking 2 cups of tea daily? I'm not sure though..it wouldn't hurt to do it though, tea has alot of health benefits :)
