i liked it kinda ok.  i liked the smuckers (i think) low calorie better which was 25 cals for 1/2 cup? 

i like the waldenfarms chocolate syrup real well in skim milk and love their blue cheese dressing & shrimp sauce. 

was not impressed with the strawberry jam stuff or the bbq sauce

but i think it's a matter of taste & i don't mind trying things once ;)

1 other thing, lots of their items are high in sodium which can be a problem

shorelover, did you know that when you're tired, your body sends you signals to eat for extra energy to burn? i was really surprised to read that one day.  took awhile for me to believe it, i've always been a night owl! also,  taking caffeine can just aggravate it...  hopefully your shoolwork will ease so you can rest up.  it's 1 of the hardest things... there's always so much to do, but rest is an important priority.

tx ~ no need to preplan, just make sure you have good choices available!  the Europeans used to shop every day for fresh food!  I wish i had the time & place to do that ~ it would be fun to go to a bunch of little markets...

tyr, try to take the focus off weight loss and focus on stopping bingeing/over-eating.  trying to lose weight can feel like a diet and trigger a binge.  try different strategies, usually a combination of things will work :)

as an alternative, if you put in your activity designation as sedentary and then log in your work activity and extra exercise...

here are 3 standing type work jobs that may apply

Standing; Light - Bartending, Store Clerk, Assembling, Filing, Duplicating, Putting Up a Christmas Tree, Standing and Talking At Work, Changing Clothes When Teaching Physical Education
Standing; Light/Moderate - Assemble/Repair Heavy Parts, Welding, Stocking, Auto Repair, Pack Boxes for Moving, Patient Care (Nursing)
Standing; Moderate - Assembling at Fast Rate, Intermittent, Lifting 50 Lbs, Hitch/Twisting Ropes

the system will auto adjust as you actually log in activities.  It adjusts for the difference between what you would have burned just living and what you burned doing the extra work/exercise so that the cals are not double counted.

hi ~ sounds like you have a very active job.  when you put in your stats, did you choose "very active" defined At work - you hold a labor-intensive job such as construction worker or bicycle messenger.

coachk ~ i had wk 1 as 979 oz + 944 for wk 2 = 1923 which i used.  If this is wrong, let me know & i'll use the total you provide through week 3 :)

Time to post week 3 totals already ~ woohoo!

Can NOT believe we've knocked back 3 weeks of October already!!!  Let's make wk 4 a wet one ~ Drink up!

yeah, 4 cooked ounces = 20 cals, so that's 8 cooked ounces for only 40 cals = the package i found

i actually have 1, 2 and 3 day patches too.  Let me know if you'd like me to put those up too.  I had em for me, cuz just making it through 1 day at the beginning was hard!  Pretty soon I'll need to make my 2 mos patch.  I can't believe it.

If anyone is really creative and wants to make us cool patches, go for it.  I only know little basic stuff & modified my quit smoking patches someone made me when i quit sickerettes!

i put the patches on my desktop while i'm working towards my next one...  i've been known to take down a patch & shred it in frustration ~ lol ;)

the patches are just markers..... a sign of progress, u can use other things like brightly colored jumbo paper clips and make yourself a chain.  1 for each day.

we often have to keep practicing the same steps and levels over and over again until we're really master it and are ready to move on.  I've been practicing 18 mos.... so, give yourself time.  don't fret if you're not perfect.  go for better days... more good days than bad.... it's a learning process :)

don't get frustrated.  today, just start from where you are and go from there!

:::nods::: k, here's the deal...  the rest of your life you'll want to be able to go out with friends and enjoy their company.  it's about sharing time with your friends.  it's NOT about the food.  you can always have more food.  you can always buy more, go back to the restaurant or make more.

you can't always have more friends or the opportunity to spend a fun night with them.

so i think *participating* in social events is really more important than eating food... and participating in social events should be the goal.

shorelover ~ have you heard of intuitive eating?  it's another approach to eat in response to hunger and physical nourishment needs.  Check it out ~ it might suit you more than counting calories

jenmcc ~ seems elevated cholesterol tends to be associated with inflammation; a major indicator/effect/cause in a number of degenerative diseases. 

appreciate any thoughts, resources, etc on this....

yes!  *not dieting* is one of the primary recommendations to stop bingeing, since restricting tends to trigger binges.
