| Hello all! I'm 5'8 and a half and I weigh 154 pounds. My mom tries to tell me it's because I'm tall, but I know she's patronizing me. I'm not huge, but it's definitely noticable that I can tone up abit, and should. But I'm glad to join such a group, I don't feel so lonely now. :) Even so, I hope to bust out of here in the next couple of weeks, no offense. Happy to be here. |

| hi, i'm 14 as well. 144.5 pounds, 5'8. i'm mostly concerned with looking good in a bikini right now. about 11 more pounds to lose. I'm glad to see others like me, concerned with eating healthy and getting fit. my friends have an amazing shape, they never have to worry about what they eat. good luck and don't overdo it. it takes patience and understanding, but you know that. with you all the way.

| Weight Loss | Does it matter really what time of day we consume our food? | May 02 2006 22:10 (UTC) |

| i was wondering the same thing actually. because i always eat more at night. i always felt guitly about not eating in the morning, but it's much too hectic. and i always wake up with a slight head-ache and sore stomach. i never have an appetite that early. i think as long as you have a balanced diet, and eat snacks every so often, it should be fine. (creepy... i'm eating a banana as i write this!!) |

| Foods | Diet Pepsi saved my day! | Apr 23 2006 01:03 (UTC) |

| i'm obviously not an expert or anything, but even if orange juice seems less tempting than a 0 cal drink like diet pepsi, it's maybe not such a good idea to overdo it. although, you gotta love those soda drinks. just not too much. i don't remeber it much at all, but i saw this thing on the news that suggests that diet sodas actually make you gain more weight than regular ones in the long run! i wasn't really listening so i wouldn't be able to tell you how that's possible and all the details like that. i just know it freaked my mom out for days! |

| Thank you so much everyone! i have taken everyone's words to heart. yes, it isn't weight i need to lose. i should just tone up. healthily! (is that a word..?) i've read many articles about how you should just love your body but i never took it to heart until i heard actual people say it. it doesn't seem so robotic anymore. it's true, i have a large body type, and i'm tall. (5'7 and a half.) reading through this forum has helped me alot already. i've never felt so clear-headed in a long time. thank you again, i look forward to my continued participation in this great site! |
