My first kiss was with my neighbor who I had, had a huge crush on for a long time. I was 13.

I started dating when I was about 15. I only went on a couple of dates when I was that young. I started dating more seriously when I was 17.

I mean it is obvious that you aren't alone. Now stop feeling sorry for yorself and do something about it. It feels like your life is falling apart, but it may not be as bad as you think it is. You just need to love who you are (I know, easier said than done) and not let anyone get you down. Being a teenager is only one part of your life...and it's definitely the hardest part. There really is a light at the end of the tunnel. Be optimistic...try to see the good in your life. When you really stop and put it into perspective you realize that we live in a world that may be cruel and harsh, but there is beauty all around us :)

You should use all the energy that you are using on being sad and judgmental of yourself for something awesome, something that you enjoy doing.

Try writing in a journal and doing things for you, NOT for anyone else!

If you or anyone else thinks that I am being rude or mean...I am really just trying to help. Sometimes pity and feeling sorry for ourselves can hold us back.

:) I reeally hope that this helped you!

I am not quite sure what I weigh at the moment...considering I do not own a set of scales, but I know that last time I weighted myself I was about 140 and I am pretty sure that I may have lost a couple of pounds since then and I am ready to stay at this weight. The weight that I was trying to get to was unhealthy and way too low for my body (I should have known better)!

Foods HOW MUCH on groceries EACH WEEK? May 20 2009

I think $50 a week isn't that bad. Last year I was trying to be super healthy and I spent a lot on food a week. What I was buying was way too expensive and now I have learnt my lesson and I realize that I can eat just as well without the cost and having to buy fancy items.

I would say that I sepnd about $40 a week on food. I think I am going to start keeping track of the amount that I spend and maybe make a budget.

Young Calorie Counters ladies 5'7" - 5'9" 17 - 22 years, what is your BMI and size? May 20 2009

I am 5'9"...19 years old.

My BMI is 20.1.zero

I am from Canada... I wear a fairly large size considering my healthy BMI because I have hips!! I wear like a 6-10. It varies pretty much everywhere. In tops I am a medium or sometimes a small.

I think your goal though should really depend on you personally and how your body is shaped. I know that I will never fit into a size zero unless I somehow magically made my curves dissappear.

Sounds really yummy, I added it to my 'to try' list. But don`t you grate the carrots or mash them up at some point? It sounds pretty odd to have a burger-like pattie with carrot cubes inside..

ha ha. The recipe did not specify, but I mashed up my carrots. You do just cut the celery and onion up really small and add them that way. You do not cook them!!

I'm over 30 and I know I'm doomed.  My mother is still doing strict cleansing/de-oiling rituals to keep her acne under control.  Plus there's the genetic ability to get acne *anywhere*.

The best thing that works for me is an egg-yolk mask.  Put it on, let it dry, then wash it off.  Several times a week seems to do the trick.

Interesting. I do an egg white mask. I find that it does tend to dry out my skin a little but it clears it up. I haven't done it in ages though!

Health & Support Do i have an eating problem? Apr 28 2009

When I was 16 I was diagnosed with ADHD and they put me on a drug for it. I did awesome in school, felt like a zombie, and lost 7 pounds the first week...then I ended up losing 17 pounds that year in total. If you're parents keep on being helpful by making you eat and you are still the same old you, but just with higher grades, then I say stick to it. Because I hated the way the pill made me feel, I said nope, I can't take it anymore. I would rather do just ok at school and learn to live coping with my ADD than be changed by pills.

I would have to say that the worst thing about the whole drug was that when I came off of it, I ballonned back up and then I kind of had a bit of an eating disorder. I still struggle with a food war in my brain all day. I just wish that I could relax and just eat to satisfy hunger and not emotional pain.

I know that I can conquer this too and I will get through my issues :)

When I looked at the other site ot told me that i need to eat like 1, 830 cals, but if you're trying to lose weight won't you just stay the same weight?

sorry...I just thought that the way that you posted all those rules was kind of rude and some of them should be revised to meet other people's needs. Although, I am not saying that someone who eats like 500 cals a day should be posting that.

I also have a question for the moderator of this topic.

You said that if you're calorie intake on your listing of what you ate is lower than 1500 cals you would automatically delete it, but what if CC told someone to eat 1300 cals to get to their target weight? That is what they told me and I am only 19 years old...so try and figure that one, please!

Breakfast: I really dislike eating breakfast. I had 2 cups of Spiced Chai with rice dream in it and two artificial sweetners to start my day off right!

Lunch: Half a pita with 4 original tofurky slices, cucumber, onions, little ketchup and muistard, and little bit of light mayo.

Snack: Apple with 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Supper: 2 spring rolls with rice and veggies (carrots, peas, and green beans). A little bit of plum sauce for dipping and some soya sauce.

Snack: Oatmeal Crisp cereal dry with a few raisins and unsalted cashews.

Ha h. I had oven roasted flavour slices today. I actually love Tofurky!! I had a pita sandwich with veggies that were marinated with sesame seeds and a little soya sauce. It was so tasty!

I have never had the slices on a salad, but I love Tofurky sausages and I have had them cut up in a salad. Maybe you could try that instead.

I love all evggie burgers. I have not come across a veggie burger that did not like yet!

I am lactose intolerant so I always have to be catious of the amounts of milk in my bread. I don't think that Sourdough has any eggs in it, but I know that it definitely has no milk! Plus it tastes sooo good. :)

Yes, I have had a similar expereince. When I was 16 and I was at my friends' graduating class party that they had at someone's farm, they had made hotdogs and hamburgers and being an all night event, from 9 pm ish til like 6 am, everyone drinks, so you can imagine how much alcohol can be consumed in that amout of time...anyways long story short...I also still knew that I was a veg but for some reason I had a hotdog.

ick!

Original Post by laire23:

You might have trouble getting people to answer this question because vegetarians get asked this question -all- the time, usually by people who are somewhat defensive and even belligerent about eating meat. (Not that I'm saying you are that way!) After a while, you get really sick of answering the question and resent it a bit even when it's asked by someone who is just curious.

For me, I started being vegetarian because I was young and idealistic, and I highly disapprove of the inhumane ways that many animals are farmed. After 16 years of not eating meat, it's now mostly because I have zero desire to do so. If Americans would cut back on meat consumption and increase vegetable consumption, it would be a much healthier country!

I love what you said about how you started...because you were young and idealistic. That kind of happened to me as well. I was passionate about it until I got so ill that my doctor phoned to talk to my mom about the level of my iron. I looked like a freaking ghost! I didn't understand how to be vegetarian. Since then I have been an advent researcher when it come to nutrition.

I was a vegetarian for two and a half years starting when I was 16. I have recently gone back because even when I eat meat I feel so damn guilty knowing that I am filling my body with the meat of something that was once living and breathing. I am also lactose intolerant so there goes dairy consumption.

But yeah basically I did it for the animals sake...the health benefits (which I didn't know even existed until I started) are merely just a bonus.

Yeah, I have tiny ones too. I'm a 34 A. But there are guys out there who wouldn't want you to trade those small breasts for big ones.

Guys tell me that mine are the perfect size because when I am 50 or even 60...they won't be sagging!! ha ha.

Worst thing that I ate tpday was 2 pieces of 70% dark chocolate, which isn;t that bad. The worst thing that I have ate in a while...would be...Not this past Sunday, but the Sunday before I went to a chinese buffet. I was good, though...only one plate of food and a dessert.

I have been eating pretty well lately, which I am very proud of, but I would LOVE to have some McDonalds right now. Yucky, I know. But if I say it outloud maybe, just maybe, the craving will subside.

If not, I have only had 956 cals today, so instead...I will probably have a small snack when I get home and then workout!

Weight Loss I want to quit drinking... Apr 19 2009

I used to drink A LOT!! The summer I turned 18, I am not lying I drank EVERYNIGHT! Then I moved to a province where the legal age was 19, so that slowed me down. I barely drank for a few months. Then I met friends and I started going to parties all the time. Then I moved in with my sister...started working out and I lost weight.

In september I started college and I was living in Residence...I drank at least once a week, usually 2 times...around christmas I started gaining weight becuase of it.

I am lucky that I cut back the amount of drinking I do. I now only drink once every three weeks or once a month. This I  must say I am proud of :)

Congrats on quitting smoking.
