 I'm pulling for Tara. 

My mom and I both were speechless when we saw Sione.  He looked gorgeous.

I don't like Helen or Ron.  Mike- I'm chalking up some of his attitude to his age 18.

As much as I love Mike, he kind of annoyed me.  To actually say that Kristen and him were the main threats in the house was a little too cocky for my taste.  they all say that in their individuals interviews but to announce it to the group is annoying.

I don't like the product placement crap either.

Competetion wise Sione much bigger threat annyonce factor Helen is really up there.  With every other parent/child team I don't see the parent staying it's just not done.

I've had alopecia since I was about 9 or 10.  At 19 I was tired of going monthly for injections and all the special stuff that only grew the hair at the very top of my head.  I went through a lot of stuff until about 2 years ago I discovered lace front wigs.  It has been the most fun I have ever had.  I get to change my look constantly. Now does it make up for not have your own  I don't really know since I can barely remember but I feel much more comfortable than I ever have. 

I've had a Rihanna cut, a Curly Beyonce's do, I have a golden brown long layered cuts with sideswept bangs.

 

I don't want you to take from this that I never wished I had my own hair but once you get to the acceptance part you may start to have fun.

 

My mom has actually said to me"You'd be disappointed if your hair grew back"

I was diagnosed Jan 07 haven't consistently visited my doctor.  I'm taking 75mcg and I'm feeling like i did right before my diagnosis.  Fatigued, foogy.  I've gained and lost the same 1 pound for Feb and March.  I've also noticed that I barely have a left eyebrow

this past week I had walking pneumonia with no appetiite but i gained .8lbs!

I've schedule an appointment with my endocrinologist

I missed somethings as I'm a flipper but.  They are singles now and were able to pick their trainers.  I'm guess Helen said something about Bob suring that.  I changed channels as they were talking to much for me.

They had a kind of 2 part challenge everyone could take the weight they lost and put it onto someone else.  all the guys put their weight mostly to Tara with some going to Helen.  I understand the motive behind giving the weight to Tara as she is an awesome competitor, i felt the other contestants made it personal with the laughter.  Aubray tried to make it bette by saying it's a compliement but it was like a back handed compliment.

Mine i think is one of the self explanatory ones. 

I'm an accountant studying for the CPA exam.  I have two goals for the year. Lose about 50lbs and pass two parts  of the CPa Exam.

I've had that happen too.  It through me at first because it made it look like I had a massive weight gain.  I've had to reset it at least 3 times since Jan.

I think higher protein and fiber foods are more filing.  I have a salad with the chicken,chickpeas and red and green peppers, light raspberry & walnut vinigrette.  I'm stuffed after eating it. 

 

I also agree with GI Jane the weight may be water.

I also have an under active thyroid. My understanding is that the thyroid hormone has some involvement with your metabolism. So to a certain extent you can't rely completely calculators as your thyroid function will effect your bmr.  Two years ago I was a gym fanatic and was eating healthy the whole 9 yards and lost maybe 10lbs in 9 months I was diagnosed a little while after that.  With my medication I've  lost almost 6lbs in 6 weeks.  I think once it's being properly managed it's a little better with weight loss.  That said you will always have to pay attention to how what and how you eat effects you.

 I think you hit the nail on the head about the site.  Everyone is losing a different amount of weight with different issues to contend wit medical conditions, cooking abilities, family and money situations.  Everyone has to work within their own constraints.

The items that usually repeated in my food log:

Oatmeal

Bananas

Hard boiled Egg

Lean cuisines (eating less because of sodium)

Pears

Chicken

whole wheat bread

Yogurt with granola

Fish- tilapia, salmon

Cold Stone is walking distance frommy house. It is so good.  I've been eating a Turkey Hill Light Recipe Ice Cream Sandwich daily.  My fav ice cream is Karmel Sutra from Ben & Jerry's but since it only comes in a pint I can't seem to NOT eat the entire pint in one sitting I've stayed away.

I've had my food scale for at least a year and just started using it in January.  Learning real portion sizes has been great.

I' kind of the weirdo.  Now that I'm eating healthy I have almost zero pms symptoms. I did have a what i'm assuming is a TOM water retention weight gain last week. But most of the other stuff is gone.  It sneaks up on me now.

1/2 Cup of my chickpeas 130grams but  my chicken selects serving size is 1/2 cup i thought and it's 71 grams.  Usually the the grams serving size is next to the English size in parentheses.

I've had to starte usuing the grams since I don't think my portion sizes are right when i use measuring cups and stuff.

Speaking of ice cream.  Last night I got single serving size Haggen Daaz.  Best thing i bought one so i couldn't over indulge.

LOL- Sorry.

That was stress fromm work starvation that lead to eating.  I forgot my lunch and snack on both thursday and friday.  By the time I leave work I usually have eaten at least 1000 cals thurs and fri I had eaten about 400. I went to the gym once.

I'm one of those crazy people that really like working out but this job makes it damn near impossible.  I was going at lunch and then got hit with all these deadlines.  I'm going to have to stick to my guns.

Your fall from sin- I have you beat.

 

Thursday-starved all day had a grilled chicken Caesar sandwich AND a corned beef special and two cans of Pepsi

Friday- Starved again and had a buffalo chicken wrap and a corned beef special and two cans of Pepsi

Saturday- Took my brothers to the Auto show- Strawberry smoothie and a giant soft pretzel.  Took them to lunch had a cheese burger with the works.

Sunday- got on the scale- GAINED A POUND. Cry

Oh i forgot- I comforted my weight gain by crab cakes, tastykake lemon pie and a glazed donut.

My normal breaskfast is .  Quaker Weight Control Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal, Banana, Hard-Boiled Egg.  I leave the quaker box at my office.

My am snack is usually a Slimfast Bar (Oatmeal Raisin) and a pear.

My afternoon snack changes, 3 oz Pepper jack Cheese with Wheat Thins (1 serving)or Grapes

By the time I get home I have to force myself to eat.

Cinnabon. I used to buy the home packs.  It's the only food in the mall I have a hard time saying no too.  Luckily the Willow Grove Mall doesn't have one and if the King of Prussia Mall has one I can't find it.  Thank God.

I don't know if anyone can top her specific type of crazy.  Most people get off the ranch and go back to normal. 

The follow up with her and Carla and her acting like she had no idea what Carla was talking about.  that's going to be hard to beat.  Although the green team girl that cries all the time  is going to be good for a little entertainment.

 

I can't wait to see how Joelle's intensity pays off.

That would work with my short attention span.  I think I've always tried cardio on dvd.  I have Paula Abdul's Dance Cardio.  I can write my name in the dust on it. Laughing

I can't seem to do workout DVDs.  I get easily distracted.  I need someone physically there to yell at me.

Are you eating appropriate portions?  In changing my eating habits I measure EVERYTHING. I weigh my green beans instead of just using a measuring cup.  that can really impact what amount of calories you are really eating.  Also even though you are starting with healthy ingredients there are so many things added in the cooking process are you counting those?  I make my french cut string beans with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. And I make grilled cheese with butter.  I wasn't logging those calories and the can add up.
