At night I like hot tea with a little bit of skim milk and splenda. It's a nice sweet treat and hot drinks in the winter time are the best!

I am also a bridesmaid trying to slim down by the wedding at the end of June!  I am 24 5'8" and 144.  My goal is to make it down to at least 130 if not 125 ( I have a very small frame and looked healthy at this weight a few years ago).  What I do with the foods that I crave is wait until the end of the day if I have calories left over I definitely let myself have it, if I don't have any left I ask myself if it is really worth it to have that chocolate if it will put me over my goal for the day.

Question for all of the future brides and bridesmaids trying to loose weight:  what are you going to do about ordering your dress?  The bride told me I should order it within the next month but now I am not sure what size I should order.

I would say to order the size you are now. That's what I did. And then at the beginning of June I'm going to put the dress on and *hopefully* have it altered to fit me better. (I'm also a D-cup so I definitely needed a size 8 to fit my ta tas in)

i'm a bridesmaid too! and also upcoming in june as well.

i'm 5'8'' around 162 pounds, and a college freshman. ugh. haha

i want to get down to 145 for the bridesmaid job for my cousin (: shize she's a size zero.. as well as the other bridesmaids.. so i want to get down to a size six so i don't look too chubby against the other girls :-/

if you would like a partner in your challenge, hit me up! i'd love to help.

my current method for "diet" is under 1900 calories a day, i'm trying to hit 1500 a day... and exercise at least 3 times a week.

it's hard to fit exercise in my schedule, so whenever i can, i will... but it's just hard.

but yes, the 1500 calories is my goal.

and by march 8 (my birthday) i want to lose 12 more pounds!! to get to 150 would be freakin' amazing.

and then it's just five more for the wedding! (:

Hey there! Our situations are pretty similar. I'm in college as well, I'm actually a senior (eeeeek!) and the bride is a size 0, her sister is like a 2/4, the other sister is a 0... so I feel your pain!! I'm so down to be your partner in the challenge! College is an especially hard time to lose weight because your workload outside of classes varies (I am doing my thesis right now so it's basically never-ending for me...) And in addition to that - your friends want to drag you out for beers and junk food all the time! When I got home tonight my roomates had CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES sitting on the counter!!! (I ran upstairs into my room as fast as I could)

What's your situation like?

First of all - thanks for all the responses! You all have made my day!

I've never been part of a weight loss forum before and I think it is a really positive thing that we all can get on here and help one another out. Surprisingly, talking to strangers feels more right than discussing it with friends or family...

I need to lose about 30 pounds, but it seems as if I'm going about it a bit differently than most people. I'm trying only to step on the scale once a week (it's hard) and I am not keeping track of my calories. Instead I am focusing more on portion control and eating healthy foods. (I've been really hungry for the past week... haha!)

OK ladies so let's keep up the good work!! Kiss

OH ONE MORE THING- this is a goodie. Has anyone read "French Women Don't Get Fat" ?? It's not a typical diet book, the author combines personal experience with a very sensible approach to changing your lifestyle permanently. It has been the best source of inspiration for me thus far, and I HIGHLY recommend it :)
