I love Green Tea! When I first started drinking it I had to put a teaspoon of sugar and slowly put less and less until I acquired a taste for it by itself. |

Wow! the similarities here are unbelieveable! My bf is constantly texting and playing with his phone! It drives me bonkers! Although not for the same reason. I don't know what I can say that I haven't already. He has some past hurt that he needs to deal with and it's unfortunate that he has to be so hard on you. Hopefully he will get over it soon before he makes you resent him |

My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years as well and to be completely honest, when FB first came around I was the same way as your husband. I used to freak if I saw an attractive girl that I didn't know and constantly question him about pretty much everything you just said. It almost always led to a huge argument. I'm not sure what your history is but there is a history of infidelity in our relationship which is where my jealousy stemmed however, it also came from my own insecurities with myself. I have felt unattractive and uncomfortable in my own skin for quite some time and took it out on him even though I knew my accusations were completely rediculous. The way that my boyfriend went about making me feel more secure in our relationship was fairly simple. When I confronted him, he stayed calm, heard me out, constantly reassured me and never let himself get angry or allow it to escalate into a fight. Sometimes I would yell at him, sometimes I would joke about it and other times I would cry. After many long conversations with him about my insecurities I realized that I had a lot of feelings that I had been with holding that weren't even about him and now I never question my trust in him. I know that for some men it is hard to talk about feelings but reassurance, understanding and affection can go a really long way in situations like this. By showing him just how commited you are to him and by showing him how much you love him on a daily basis might help him realize that he is the only one for you! |

Oh man! I know that as a women the stereotype would suggest that we are all shopoholics but I absolutely HATE shopping for myself! I'm 5'10 and I have a round booty and large thighs and do you think they make pants for people like me? No way! It seems like I find a pair that fits my waist and is skin tight everywhere else and when I find a pair that fits my butt and lega they are huge on my waist and I end up with droop drawers anyways! When I was younger and super thin it was the same problem but I had a hearder time finding pants that were long enough. It's like clothing maufacturers think that anyone with the slightest hint of curves is huge and if you're thin you're short! So annoying! |

I have become quite a heavy drinker over the past few years and as a result I have gained a ton of weight and haven't been able to get it off. That being said, having a glass of wine everyday is actually recommended by doctors for heart health but no more than 1 a day and I think for men it is 2. Alcohol in small quantities is fine, it's when you go over board and start binging that you will run into trouble. So, don't worry about it! :) |

I have been on this site for a while now and was doing really well for the first three months. It seems like every time I get into the groove of a new workout routine and eating habits I slowly start regressing after about three months. I have been battling with a ten pound increase every year for about 5 years now and am now at the biggest I have ever been in my entire life! I have decided to get back on the wagon tonight! Going to get a new gym membership and strating a super foods meal plan just in time for winter (to help prevent illness) and hoping this time it will stick. I found a lot of useful tips and have finally gone public about my plans. I am praying that my motivation level will stay high and I will receive the support from friends and family that I need. I am taking some before pics tonight as well as weight and measurements and hope that I can post some progress pics in a few months. Instead of going full board and wearing myself out like I usually do, I'm going to start slowly and ease my way into the new regime. I'm hoping to lose 10-15 pounds in three months and about 45-50 over the next year! I'm so happy that this site exists and that there are people here that share my struggle who I can look to for motivation and success tips! This is my restart for the last time!!! |

I think that might be the problem. When I first started watching my diet and exercising I was having trouble staying at or below what my daily intake should be and now I am having trouble getting even close to what I am supposed to eat. I don't feel hungry when I go to bed but I guess I really need to start focussing on getting my caloric intake up to a normal level. Thanks for all the tips! |

I have never heard of that before but it is good that you have already consuted your doctor. If you don't agree with what he says maybe you should go to a specialist for a second opinion. |

I absolutely love pilates! Generally if you want to lose weight you can't just do pilates but it is great for strength, flexibility, and stress relief. I've recently gotten into Yoga infused pilates which is pretty intense and I find myself having trouble finishing a 30 minutes workout. But like any workout regime you have to stick with it and change it up (levels/types, etc) for it to work effectively! |

I'm currently having the same problem. I started counting cals and working out aftre Christmas, joined the site about a week ago but have not lost anything according to the scale...BUT my clothes are starting to feel looser and are fitting a little better in certain areas. Have you noticed this? It might just be that your are gaining muscle? I'm not exactly an expert but if you are losing inches but the scale says otherwise, throw out the scale. |

Very true. I read a few days ago that when weight or resisitance training you continue to burn calories for up 39 hrs, while with cardio it is only afour a few hours. |

I completely agree that you need to increase your weights to see real results and a lot of people dont understand that if you do start to get bulky all you need to do is increase your cardio and slow down on weight training. However, I am a victim of this sometimes myself as when I am using a stationary bike I often use 5lb weights when I don't have time to do my entire routine. It is a good way to get in a quick arm workout, but it should definately not be the only weight training. |

I have always been pretty good about maintaining my weight within about five pounds up until a few years ago. When I started to gain weight I did the cabbage soup diet a couple of times which works but as soon as you stop all the weight comes back because you're basically starving yourself and binge when it is completed. I used to take a lot of ephrogine until I got too shaky, I've also abused substances like cocaine and extacy. When I was at a healthy weight and thin I was able to maintain it by following the Canadian Food Guide quite religiously...now i'm using the guide in combination with calorie counting!! |

Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
