First of all it is bmr and it stands for basal metabolic rate which is the amount of calories you burn in a given day due to your size age weight and activity level. |

try spreading your calories out in mini meals throughout the day and always eat a protein with a carb. I have learned from registered dieticians this can keep your metabolism going strong all day. Breakfast was very important and drinking plenty of water. |

Stay on course don't get frustrated a loss is a loss just do small things like park far away at work or do housework. Keep busy when you can. Walk out the door for five minutes away from your house and turn around and come home do that in the morning and at night and you'll be walking twenty minutes a day. Stay positive and don't give up you are losing ang going in the right direction, good luck and God bless. |

I have more to lose than you but am willing to be a support and in need of support. I have already successfully lost 100lbs. in about a year and I now way 387 lbs. My goal for now is 320lbs. I believe in setting realistic in sight goals to not get frustrated and to be able to celebrate accomplishments. I read alot of weight loss books with good info. I eat five meals a day, spread out every two and a half to three hour to keep my metabolism going I have learned through the books I have read. So I am here if you want me. |

Are you spreading your calories thpough out the day to boost yyour metabolism. It really works. Eat three meals and two snacks. Always eat a protein with a carb. And don't fogret a glass of water weighs at least a pound. Drink plenty of water so you don't retain fluids and you should be fine. Weigh yourself the same time each week in the morning with the same attire. Good luck and God bless. |

what has been working for me is five to six mini meals of 300 to 400 calories a piece that stokes your metabolism throughout the day, which I spread out every two and a half to three hours. The other key is to never eat a carb. eithout a protein adn a new trick is to start of my meals with a small bit of fruit appetizer to level off my blood sugars. eat also nine fruits and veges combined a day. Two books that support this are one,fire up your metabolism by lyssie and tammy lakatos and the other is the smart weigh by pamela m. smith. Good luck and God bless. |

what is your weight loss plan? i know mine is working great for me. All it is is eating five to six mini meals a day spread out three hours approximately apart. The other key is to always eat a carb. with a protein. I have read two books written by three nutritionists to support this and it is working for me. I started out at 487 and now I am at 389. It has been a year. I lose an avg. of two pounds every week and have not yet seen a plateau. I eat mostly healthy but I stillmix it up once in awhile keeping my calories around 2000 a day for me. I thought I would pass it on, and God bless you, and you did not need deception to get me to read your site but it was catchy. I have lost as much as 6.6 pounds in one week and that was three weeks ago,and I am keeping it off too. what it does is boosts your metabolism and keeps it firing all day long. Drink plenty of water too. |

My start weight was 487 and I have lost 96 pounds and still only a few have really noticed so feel blessed if people notice at ten or twenty, Iknow it is different when your smaller but it hurts a little when you are working so hard and not many notice. It is nice to those who do though, I greatly appreciate them. |

I have always heard three to four hours before bed, no eating, if your hungry try a glass of water. |

I eat five meals mini ones a day sometimes six and it boost my metabolism to a point that I am losing an avg. of two pounds or so a week, one week I lost 6.6 pounds, the key to the meals is to never eat a carb. with out a protein and spread your meals through out the day. One book I got this from was fire up your metabolism by the lakatos twins both nutritionist another good book is called structure house which has a web site too www. structurehouse.com. good luck to you and God bless. |

your body may need more calories but mini meals are brilliant. increase your calories and relax maybe walk alittle but the increase of cals. through out the day will boost your metabolism, check out this book "Fire up your metabolism," by Lyssie and Tammy Lakatos they are a couple of nutrition twins who are awesome and give great advice through personal studies. |

always eat some protein and some carbs at breakfast to jump start your metabolism. the portion size should not be that big as your body is just getting going. you can always have a snack two hours later like a yogurt or a piece of cheese. |

make syre you are not starving yourself for example if your eating three meals a day add a snack or two and maybe the lack of hunger will drive away the unhealthy eating, just a suggestion. I find with myself if I am hungry I start imagining all sorts of foods. |

I think you have no responses because us americans do not know how to translate kgs. to lbs. I believe it is a 2.2 ratio so you went from 187 lbs. to 143 that is 34 pounds and you did it by diet alone and how long? |

eat three meals a day and two snacks so you are not hungry. always eat a carb with a protein to keep your metabolism firing if you do not feed your metabolism and eat to little and it shuts down then you won't lose fat but muscle and your body will conserve fat as it will be in starvation mode. you can eat 1200 calories or alittle more and spread it out through out the day and you will do fine. |

It sounds boring and if so then you won't last long. Try something you will last along time at. I eat five to six mini meals a day which keeps me from binging and overeating and boost my metabolism. The meals of course are 200 to 300 calories a piece with carbs and proteins mixed at both that is important to never eat a carb without a protein it helps your metabolism.Yogurts are my mainstay with veges at least one meal a day.I try and mix it up to not get bored. also eating five to six mini meals every three hours gives you something to look forward to at least for me I like to eat. |

i had a dream last night about the opposite trying not to eat to much to try and lose weight. So i guess that still qualifies as dreaming about food. If daydreams count than some days I am off the charts and it is hard to keep from reacting to the impulses in the daydreams. |

mybiggest prblem is the occassional binge which at times sets me back for the day. then I start over the next day. I know I am not perfect and I am learning to stop the binge but it is difficult for me. |

I hate it but I confess I am addicted to the scale it is a phase I am going through as I learn to trust myself as I learn to lose weight. I weigh myself several times a day. I feel you should weigh yourself once a week at most the same time of day or every other week. When I trust myself I will do that, I hope it is soon I am going crazy some days as the scale can fluctuate up to five pounds. |

I have learned to boost my metabolism with five mini meals and I am losing three pounds a week on avg. I do weigh 392 so I have alot to lose but that has been working for me. when I exercise it is only walking in three 10 minute increments for now.Good luck to you. |
