Shapie: I actually just looked into that! Today I am 201.5 after being 203 for like 3 months! But the pound and a half loss has all happened since the scheduled gym visits began. My body always responds well to working out as long as I don't re-eat the calories I burned LOL So hopefully I will see Onederland before Christmas but I still have a long way to go until goal!!! Get back on that horse girl! Giddy-up! Hot Hair Iwill! Ally: Never call Carrot cake stupid. Mmmmmm Carrot cake.... *Drool* MUPPPPPPPPPPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS! - Hi :) Dalma: I have NEVER been a four. Smallest I ever was - 7 and I couldn't maintain that... (But maybe due to that whole woman's versus misses thing you clued me into) I can't even imagine me, life, clothes, hugs, swimming, dancing? at a size four. WOW. That said, you are going to reach my goal (Size 8) in a few weeks and I will be insanely jealous :) F.Y.I. I totally went to the movies last night and DID NOT get popcorn. Even though I had a coupon to buy any size popcorn and get a free New Moon collectors cup filled with free fountain. Nope didn't do it. So I was ecstatic when I saw 201.5 today :D (I saw the September Issue - It was cool - I'm kind of a magazine whore) |

I have now successfully finished four gym visits as scheduled. Mondays & Wednesdays for two weeks :) I've done about a half hour of cardio each time (2 - 2.5 Miles, 350 cals) Next Monday I'm going to add weights back in and really give it my all. If I'm only forcing myself to go twice a week I should put all my effort in :) Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I haven't been counting either :S Just taking everything one step at a time as if I'm starting all over. There are so many things in life that I am always trying to do and it gets really frustrating to do them all perfectly. I'm in the midst of trying to quit smoking again after my summer haze.. I'm starting a university prep course in January and between trying to pay for that and christmas I am totally broke. Trying to find ways to still hang with my friends but cheaply requires a lot of creativity. I'd really like to get back into singing, just because I gave up the Madonna, Mariah, Aaliyah, Beyonce (Insert Diva Here) dream doesn't mean I can't sing at all right? I'd also like to start a part time, home based bio writing business and am trying to figure out how to get that started. It would be really helpful to have an at home source of income when I go back to school. My mind is just spinning in a thousand places and calorie counting is too damn time consuming! LOL I will get back into it but for right now I'm focusing my energies wherever I can get them to focus! XOXO ladies you are all doing wonderfully :) |

Dalma congrats! 40 lbs is a medium sized dog! (I like putting it in perspective) That's a LOT of weight! and in 6 months :) Sweet. ALL: I sucked it up and went to the gym last night. Burned another 350 but ate chips when I got home so wasted my efforts. At least I am extablishing a routine. My next scheduled visit is on Monday night but I am going to try and head to the gym this weekend. And my weight dropped one pound this week (after two months of slacking off) to 202 :) |

Amocatte: I am a firm believer in working out at whatever time you are most likely to follow thru. If you are not a morning person, the benefits of working out in the morning aren't gonna do you a hell of a lot of good cause you'll be in bed and vice versa the evening isn't more effective if you aren't there. I work out after work cause my gym is a block away from the office. Try as I may to take a Sunday morning yoga class - it just hasn't happened. Do what fits your lifestyle and whatever get's you sweaty more often :) Walking is an excellent start as netioned by some of the other girls. Welcome to the group! Thanks Ana! Sorry to hear about your tummy! Hope you feel better! Fayny: Your efforts will catch up to you :) Mladdy: WOW! Sounds like you are really putting in the work! Keep it up but be careful! Akela: But hey you walked last! The gym only works if you actually go! Walking works anywhere :) I went last night and I'm going to go again tonight. I always try to cram in the sessions while I'm sort of in the mood LOL ALL: I went to the gym last night for the first time since August. I got on the elliptical and set it for 20 minutes plus a 5 minute cool down. Once I had reached about 15 mins I realized I could go for longer. I didn't do any extra time really but I pushed hard throughout the cool down to burn exactly 300 cals - turned out it was in exactly 25 mins and exactly 2 miles :D Doing it again tonight! |

Akela: Sorry to hear about your hotel stay :S Good letter though! WTG on the walking - I keep trying to get someone a friend to walk with me but they bail out :S Maybe I'll start a facebook group! Dalma & Ally: Thanks for the kind words. My mom is still really out of sorts but she's doing ok. Shes heading up to her parents house out of town tomorrow for her birthday. That will be nice for her. Ally: I've been planning my meals for a week and a half. I might not be losing weight because of it yet - but it does definitely make life easier. Iwill: I hate that too. Meanwhile in the trip to Arby's (Or KFC in my case) you could have made something much more sastisfying and healthy at home :S Welcome new ladies! Usually this group is so chatty you can't keep up. Stick around - it gets better :) As for me still maintaing and heading to the gym tonight for the first time since like August! Whoot!! (It's been so long that I couldn't even remember what to put in my gym bag!) |

Akela: Glad to hear life is good - you deserve it :) I keep saying that I'm gonna get back on track but I havent :S My mom's roomate died in her sleep on Thursday night and my mom found her (I'm ok I didn't know her very well) so she's devastated. She had the flu (not H1N1) and was an alcoholic so instead of spending her time off work to get better, she practically drank herself to death. Madness. I've been trying to talk to my mom and spend time with her which has thrown off the gym schedule... I haven't been counting either - but that is out of sheer laziness! LOL I'm going to see my mom tonight instead of scheduled gym visit #2 but wild horses couldn't keep me away from the gym on Wednesday! On the plus side, though I haven't been counting or working out I am still 203 :D This is the week I get back on track for sure! |

I think it helps to wear nice clothes when you work out :) For me though I am stuck in that rut where I don't wanna buy anything nice/expensive cause I won't wanna throw it out when I lose the weight. Meanwhile I havent' lost that much size wise and could've gotten a year out of a pair of Lulu's!!! LOL "Need more veggies, more fruit, and less fat." I think we should all make that our mantra! Fayny: I too have to go right after work. But if I don't plan it out something will "come up". I hope it works for me too. First scheduled session is tomorrow afternoon! You are so gonna hit 215 :D |

I haven't been around much and I apologize. For some reason I have been incredibly busy and can't even remember what I've been doing! Anyway, I just stopped by to say hi - HI! It's my 6 Year anniversary with Jay today so we're gonna go out for dinner. I am not counting tonight and haven't been all week but aside from yesterday's cheetos I have been eating fairly well. Defintely below maintenance but not enough for a noticeable loss. Have a great weekend girls! |

EDIT: The small things in life that drive me crazy volume one: I take a multi vitamin everyday, which changes the analysis of your diet if you put it in your food log but I can't remember to log it every day and I wish there was a button to just put it in forever. Love your name LOL Welcome! Just had my Canadian thanksgiving. Cooked a huge meal and cleaned the whole house. Entertained both Jay's and my crazy parents :S Even though I had a four day weekend, I'm tired and stressed and feel like this week is going to drag on forever. I'm haven't been doing well this month... eating like a pig, smoking like a fiend (I quit in January and had been fully quit til August) I am not smoking today and will try not to again until Halloween, then I will go out in a blaze of fumey glory and *QUIT* again November 1st. For real. It makes me feel sick. In fact I'm sick right now, and have been for 2 1/2 weeks with a "cold" that I'm thinking now is probably just smoke inhalation allergies. I haven't been to the gym in a month and it's too cold to bike :S I really need to get back on track. I haven't been counting and I've been afraid to weigh in since last Monday :S I will tomorrow morning when I start counting again. Today is already a wash after all the bacon I ate this morning :S Le Sigh. |

Kathleen: As long as your doing everything healthily (read: eating enough) I wouldn't worry about it. You probably were retaining water on the second 219 day and now your body is equalizing :D Welcome Antiquitas! Dalma: I haven't said much about your situation but I've been reading and I'm listening :) I totally know the "Bait & Switch" feeling. Sometimes you feel like everything will work out and sometimes you feel like maybe you are one of those women who gets screwed in the end and everybody says they saw it coming :S It's tough to deal with and often hard to figure out if your suspicions and analysis are correct or if your just crazy. The only suggestion I have for you is to keep a diary and keep track of the days you think it's working and the days where you are fed up. No matter who's right or wrong if you are fed up most of the time it isn't a good relationship. But from what I hear you might be past that stage! Either way, like I said, we're all here :D Feel better Akela!!! *HUGS* for everyone today! What are the stats on Seasonal Affective Disorder? What percentage of people do you think have that? |

Dalma: It's so awesome that you are low enough to even think about moving your final goal. Amazing! I think we all have set goals and that's great, but in the end your body tells you where you should be and if your body is telling you that you have more muscle to gain and more fat to lose then keep working! Just make sure it's your body talking and not your mind. That aside, YAY For size ten! You'll be there in minutes! Shapie: we'll both get there. And I'm having Swiss Chalet for dinner (Rotisserie chicken and fries) so I'm not getting there for a while! LOL |

Ladies I am back! I had an excellent couple days off with my visiting friend. We hung out, walked, drank coffee and then got absolutely hammered on a Tuesday night LOL Now back to work :S And back to CC :) Thanks Dalma & Telaed! 203 is very motivating! I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere cause there is a huge milestone coming up :) Dalma: You should totally do something for Halloween. You HAVE to. It's a Saturday. And you will get to 169. You have three WHOLE months. Not a problem, easy peasy. I hope you do it cause someone needs to put these men in thier place! LOL Congrats on getting carded. I did NOT get carded at two bars on Tuesday :S I miss that! Iwill & Boots: I totally hang with the man way too much.
