thank god that we have food to eat. i think the children in third world countries would kill for a microwaved meal.

Hey there Amy

My name's Zara and I am also looking for a weight-loss buddy :)

I'm almost 18 and 155cm. I'm currently 47kg and my goal weight is probs about 42kg to begin with.

But yeah, fancy being weight-loss friends? xx

Motivation conquering the mirror--does anyone else try to avoid looking at themselves? Feb 22 2009

hiya chrissie

I am guessing that you have had to put on weight in a short space of time, which is also what i had to do recently because of being underweight. i can also remember looking at my protuding stomach in the mirror - which seemed disproportionately large in comparison to my arms and legs. i thought i looked like a pregnant person, but when i told my parents, they said that i looked exactly the same as before...!

In my case, i think my stomach had expanded, but not to the extent that i saw it to have. In any case, within a few weeks, the weight that i put on redistributed itself to more "desirable" areas (such as my boobs and bum :P) and now i am a little happier with my body.

Even if you think that your stomach is protruding at the moment, just remember that you probably see it to be much worse than it is. I am sure that nobody else would see anything at all. Just hang in there and make sure you dont get scared and lose the weight again, because over time, it is going to go to all the right places and you will be amazed with just how beautiful and healthy you are going to look :)
