That does seem really good! I might try that sometime. I've made something similar with cottage cheese, pineapple, stevia, and a little crushed cereal/granola in a tortilla. Do you think cottage cheese would work for this recipe? |

Personaltrainer87: I slept fine too when my ED was at its worst. Sleep was like my escape. If I wanted to get away, wanted to not eat, etc I just slept. It's probably like people with depression- some suffer from insomnia and others suffer from hypersomnia. I too really looked forward to meal times, which is odd. You would think someone with an ED would dread meals, but most of the time I didn't. As long as I had control over what I ate and how much of it I ate, I couldn't wait for meals.

| Health & Support | Spirituality and bingeing | Nov 21 2009 04:51 (UTC) |

First off, I agree with merylwhite1 and hedgren that seeing a counselor and nutritionist would be helpful. BUT, if you are seeking spiritual advice and want to focus more on spiritual issues, I would suggest finding a counselor that is in alignment with your beliefs (for example, someone with the title- Christian counselor). I am actually in school to get my Master's in Clinical Counseling at a Christian school, and having the title of "Christian Counselor" gives us more liberties to discuss spiritual aspects than a traditional counselor would. Therefore they would probably be more helpful in that area. I am in recovery from anorexia and have also gone through bouts of binge eating in the middle of the night and while my faith and spirituality have not "cured" me miraculously, they have given me a hope, perseverence, and a reason to recover. I'm sure that if I hadn't been in touch with my faith that I would not have gotten into treatment when I did and I'm sure I wouldn't be where I am today. So, I don't know if it will help you stop the bingeing, but I do know that it can help you deal with it and guide you in the process of quitting. Hope this helps and you find some hope, help, and healing! |

Coffee by itself has like 5-10 calories per 8 oz I belive, so it's not bad at all. It's just when you add a ton of cream and sugar that it gets bad. If you can't drink it black (like me) just add a sensible amount of cream and use a sweetner like splenda or truvia. |

This isn't a weird combo, but kind of strange. My cousin and I used to heat a slice of cheese on a plate in the microwave and scrape it off and eat it. We would do the same with a slice of bologna. In middle school my friends and I would get croutons and dip them in ranch dressing and eat french fries and chocolate chip cookies together. |

I like butterball turkey bacon. It doesn't get super crispy like regular bacon, but I don't mind. I mostly use it for sandwiches, so it doesn't matter if it's super crispy. |

| Health & Support | After Anorexia: Weight Redistribution in Hips and Bottom | Nov 10 2009 11:49 (UTC) |
|
The same thing has happened to me. Before my ED, my boobs were a large C cup, almost D and I hated them. I lost them however due to ED. But, when I gained weight back, my boobs never got back to the way they were before and my upper half is a good bit smaller and my hips and thighs got all the weight. I've been in recovery for a couple of years now and it's pretty much stayed the same. Although, it isn't proportional and my weight isn't the same as it was pre-ed. Like others have said, if it is not proportional, especially if it is all in your stomach, it will redistribute. The weight automatically goes there to protect our organs when you're first gaining weight. Just try to be patient and it will redistribute to the rest of your body. |

I use both Stevia and Nature's Own bread. I like the Double Fiber WW because it's 50 cals and 5g of fiber a slice. I use truvia sweetner and while it is expensive, to me it is worth it. It tastes like sugar to me and is even the same texture, unlike other natural sweetners. |

Wow..this is crazy. I have had around 1000 cals (too low I know) today and around 75 or more grams of sugar. I don't even eat that bad of stuff either. I can't imagine how off it would be if I wasn't trying to be healthy. |
