| Vegetarian | I love you, now get that out of my face. | Nov 18 2009 18:33 (UTC) |

lol your post made me laugh! I can just picture people taunting you with their "real food" especially being aware of the junk that is served as school lunches in highschool. I am not vegan my self, however to try to make healthier choices, such as less processed/pre-packed food. And I have noticed that when out with friends they do tend to push whatever unhealthy foods they are eating at me. In my opinion, and this is just a guess, when people are accustomed to eating the way they do, being around someone who tends to make healthier eating decisions makes them feel uncomftable with the realization that they themselves could be doing better. So in an attempt to bring you, "down to their level" they will try to get you to join them on their path or make what your doing look undesirable. But be strong! you are doing the right thing taking care of your self! Try not to let it get to you, maybe even point it out to them that they are being unfair in judging you when you are accepting of their choices. Hope this helps! |

i had the same problem, to the point that it would cause me to through up withing 20 minutes of taking one. I found that by switching to chewable multi-vitamins i was able to avoid any discomfort. I originally took regular flinstones kids, but recently centrum came out with adult chewables and that works great for me! hope this helps |

My bf is also a late eater, so when I get home from work at 6 I usualy heat up a bowl of soup. CC has some great very filling low cal soup ideas (starting at 50 calories a serving), such as a chicken and veg, or a v-8 based cabbage/veg. soup. it's really convienient to make in bulk and just heat up a little at a time. Hope this helps! |

I have a sigg bottle, and they suggested using diluted viniger, and leting it sit for a while then washing out with dish detergent. It worked for me after leaving juice in my botte for a week, in the car, in the summer. let me tell you it did not smell pretty lol |

Take a spoon full of sugar, add enough water to moisten it, eat. Follow with a spoonfull of water. I used to do this when I was little, mostly as an excuse to eat sugar, but it works sometimes. Hope it helps! |

A buddy of mine had the same problem, just keep in mind that the sleep you get when drunk is not as beneficial as regular sleep. Just try some relaxation activities, a bath/ hot tea/ dim the lights before your try to sleep to get your body in that mode. Its a hard habit to break and i am really proud of you for sticking with it, just remember, if you fall off the wagon its not the end of the world, just hop back on. Good luck! |

If you don't really have the means to go to a doctor right now... you can at least stop in at a "Minute Clinic" they have them at CVS i believe, you dont need insurance and its pretty cheap, and they can probly give you a Rx or maybe recomend something... If you think its bugs you can look for bedbugs in the stiching on your matress, but the fact that it started by your ankles sounds like fleas.. Good luck! |

This was helpful... i am not in danger of being in super debt... i only owe around $10,000 total for school loans that i don't have to start paying on for another 8 months, so taking a pay cut wont kill me.. ill just have to save more its just the window of opportunity to get my old job back is going to close by the end of the week... Overall I now know what i want to do.. this helped put things in perspective lol just worried about my current employers reaction Thanks again everyone!!! |

Off topic gotta say im lovin the crab tat...(being from MD) but back on the subject, my experiance has been that personalized free/cheap things are the best way to get to know an individual. Watching a movie at home, going for a walk, free concerts/events offered(google your town/state + free stuff to do or cheap dates) or brunch instead of dinner or drinks Hope this helps and good luck! |

By counting calories and eating healthy, i obtain a sense of control. The rest of my life may be beyond my control, but demonstrating to myself that i can control what i eat is a big deal for me personally(cause i love snacking!) This just prove to me that i am capable of self control. Also this helps: "New changes I have adopted:

Im in the same boat... and i hear you on the it being really hard to stay motivated. For me the biggest step in the right direction is realizing that it is not just about the weight loss and a quick fix diet, but the fact that it is a life style change. Learning to like what is good for you, not just doing the time to lose the weight, and go back to the way one was. just remember it will all pay off in the long run, you can do it! Good Luck!!! |

Im not an expert, but I dont think you have to go over 100 bpm to benefit. I did a half hour on the eliptical at a decent pace and i didnt get mine over 100bpm. As long as you are breaking a sweat i wouldnt worry.... there is a scale on this site on how to measure your level of exercise... 1-able to talk normally 2- alittle out of breath but still able to talk 3- having dificulty comunicatuing etc..... I would look into that Hope this helps! |

| Weight Loss | How do you eat? | Mar 22 2009 21:56 (UTC) |

I try to keep my breakfast small, usually a banana and coffee. Then i usually have some sort of snack like yogurt or a granola bar 2-3 hrs later. lunch i also try to keep low calorie, lots of vegtables and some sort of lean protein. I can usually make it to dinner without a snack, just keep drinking lots of water. When I get home, dinner is usually not to hard to piece together something healthy. When I go grocery shopping on the weekends i plan ahead what meals i will be making what days. After dinner is where the temptation sets in. I am a terible evening snacker, so this is what i struggle with. However as long as i stay busy i tend to make it through the day just under my calorie alotment. So long story short: Meal-Snack-Meal-Snack-Meal-Snack... this way i am content lol

my best advice would be to try and work in some more cardio to your routine. In order to maintain your weight you need to do 20 minutes of cardio 2-4 days a week. In order to lose weight you need to do 30 minutes of cardio 4+ days a week... thats from the exercise section on this site Hope this helps! |
