Thanks for your response Mel, I appreciate it.  Now that I think about it, 25 mins should be long enough. Now here comes the question of where?! LOL I have the option of an outdoor ceremony + nice pics that is a 45 min drive or indoor/candlelit ceremony + nice pics that's really close to me.  I would rather an outdoor wedding but the drive may be too long for some people. I don't know?!

Hey ladies, do you think 25 mins is long enough for a ceremony?  that's all they are giving us at the place we want to book.

This week my weight has been all over the place.  It went as low as 128.4 or something like that, back up to 129.6 but it's still a little lower than my start weight.  Hopefully it will get back down again by the next weigh-in.

Very nice!  Yes, I'm most definitely going to try and save money for the centre pieces.  I want a pretty simple bouquet, nothing extravagant.  Will still be expensive probably.

I would love to do it myself.  That's a great idea!  Too bad I don't have a green thumb or else I would grow my own lol.

Baby08: I'm so happy you said 130 lbs and not caring what the scale said.  I'm 5'2 ish and around 130 lbs right now.  Most days I feel ok with this weight although if I lost a couple more lbs I wouldn't be disappointed.

The 30 Day Shred is good.  I've done it and got really toned in certain areas.  I also know people who have lost lots of weight with it.  If you want to be really motivated checked out Amazon.com reviews and see how well people are doing with it.  I checked Amazon daily for motivation when I was doing this workout.

Good luck to all.

Weight Loss Is it possible to lose only a few lbs in weight but lose more in inches? Is the slow weight loss due to muscle weight? Jul 02 2009

Yes, I was doing the 30 Day Shred and lost 2 lbs if that but the inches and look of my body was a bigger difference than what the scale was showing.  Keep at  it and you will see the difference.

I agree, edibles are always a great idea - no clutter and no feeling bad about not knowing where to store the item or feel bad about throwing it away.  I cringe everytime I'm cleaning up and I throw away something I've received from a wedding.

As of 7/1: 132 lbs.  I can't wait to lose the weight! I haven't been lower than this weight in such a long time, it will be interesting to see how I'll look.

Hi everyone, it's been a busy weekend with moving and finding a reception hall.

Last5:  Yes, level 2 is pretty crazy.  But you will find it a little easier with time.  The chair squats with V raises got me everytime! I don't think I ever got used to doing that one! lol even my fiance struggled with it.

I'm going to try and get in a workout today but there are boxes everywhere and I will be looking at a couple more halls today so I'll see how it goes.

Have a good one.

Ok, I'm in again and can take it seriously now that things are a little more settled in my life.  Thanks Jodi!

So what kind of exercises if any are people doing?  I'll be taking another stab at ChaLEAN Extreme.  Jodi, weren't you doing this too?

Last 5: Level 2 is a bit harder than Level 1 but completely do-able.  It is during this level that you will see yourself tone up and feel even stronger.  You will be proud when you complete your 10 or whatever days.  Good luck!

Dacis: Thanks for sharing.  It's good that we discuss our success - it's inspiring! you deserve to tell us all about it and then some - 14 lbs is a great accomplishment.

The side lunge with arms raise was tough for me with 5 lbs weights so I alternated my arm raises.

Hi ladies,

Last 5: Yes, I'm planning a wedding for next June/July but I really want to get a placed book and out of the way so I can concentrate on other things going on in my life...like working out again! lol.  I can't really remember when I started noticing changes but I probably documented it in my journal someplace.  You can "buddy" me and read my progress if you wish.

Amazon is a great motivator.  When I was doing the shred I would go on amazon every week to keep myself motivated.  There are such good reviews there.

J-mom: thanks! it is an exciting and a little stressful time for sure.

Wyogirl: I would love to get BFBM too but I have too many other dvds that I need to get thru and finish first but I am still keeping my eye on that one.

Eve: wow, you amaze and motivate me girl.  Plyometrics in the P90X is no joke.  I found it tough and had to stop half way thru.  You're conditioning is excellent.  I will hopefully be there someday too lol.

Greeneye: I found that when I took breaks my body really responded better than trying to do the shred consecutively.  I think taking a break after a few days is a good thing but do what works best for you.  I think Jillian said in one of her books that you should take breaks.

Jmd: The 30 Day Shred would be a good substitute to the gym because it is a full body workout that has a good amount of cardio.  I did finish it and I really liked the dvd.  I downloaded Level 3 to my blackberry so I could take it to the gym with me in case I ever wanted to do it there instead of in my apartment because it has a lot of heavy jumping and I didn't want to disturb the neighbours below me.  Although I know of few people who have lost weight, I didn't lose weight really but I had already been on a few months plateau - that I'm still on! Anyways, I really toned up and got firmer and perkier everywhere.  It works the chest, shoulders and abs really well.

mel: Next month?! how exciting! Congrats on the new jobs.  I was thinking about a park.  You are smart to not make yourself stressed out about the whole thing.  I hope you have a beautiful wedding day.  Let us know how it goes! Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions.  I am anxiously trying to find the perfect spot.  I am one of those people that have to research every avenue... although I know where I really want to have it already.  I should stop torturing myself and just book it already! lol

Hi Ladies!

Welcome last5lbs!  I'm just checking in to see how everybody is.  I haven't been shredding or ChaLeaning.  I've been busy with trying to book this reception hall for next year which seems to be quite a challenge.  I tried on a couple of wedding dresses that were nice too.  I'm kinda freakin out a bit because I have no clue what I'm doing and I want to get a head start on things.

Jehzi: 5k?? That's amazing!  Good for you.  I would love to do that but I'm not sure I could do it.  I should map my neighbourhood and see how far 5k would be

Last5: The 30 Day Shred gets easier so hang in there.  There have been lots of people that have seen amazing results with it.  I didn't lose lbs too much but I did lose inches and my stomach got really flat.  Everything became tight and toned.  However, I know there is quite a bit of people that lost weight.  Eve is one example.  Speaking of which....where are ya EVE?...ROZIE?...DACIS...anyone? lol

As soon as I get the reception hall straightened out and finish moving I will be back in it with you girls.  Keep up the great (hard) work!

floggingsully:  I do find that places are getting booked up fast!

jmd22: That's so exciting that you've done the ring shopping and then soon...the surprise!

What sort of exercises/programs/dvds is everybody doing?  I just finished the 30 Day Shred which is amazing.  I will be doing ChaLEAN extreme next.

Yay! I'm so happy that I'm not alone.   Congrats girls!

Sullysbunny: Vegas, nice!  I wanted a simple reception too but it doesn't look that's going to happen lol!

I am thinking of holding my reception at a resort just outside of town.  I've been there before and it's absolutely beautiful.  You can have a tent ceremony and the reception there.  The outside and inside is perfect for pictures in case it rains.  But weddings can be expensive!

Has anybody booked their reception hall yet?

Hang in there, I know it's tough. But truthfully, he really isn't worth it. He knew what he was getting into when he met you so I think maybe he is unhappy with himself and his life more than he was with you.  If you think about it long enough you will see that maybe he had his own little quirks that aren't that appealing either.  Anyways, I've been there in a way.

I had an ex that would pick at anything I ate or even looked at and I was never truly over-weight.  He used to work out every day and was a control freak.  Then one day something occurred to me and I asked him if he was ever skinny or fat growing up and sure enough I found out that he was skinny when he was younger and used to be made fun of so he started working out as soon as he could.  He also had control issues (stemming from his younger years) point of the story is that it really is probably not so much about your weight so forget him.  Now I'm with a man who loves me no matter what and actually prefers a woman with "curves" we're getting married next year.

All the best to you and your weight loss goals to be the best YOU can be for YOU.

Hey ladies,  I haven't been doing much of anything the past couple of days and my eating yesterday was terrible but due to TTOM I'm giving myself a beak.  Hopefully I will get a workout in today but it will have to be a short one so I may do level 3 of the Shred, not too sure yet.

Dacis: I like your profile pic.  Glad to hear you're getting back into the swing of things.  I gave up my singing a long time ago and wish I hadn't because I feel it's gone forever LOL.  I'm in Canada so they won't let me vote but I will tell all my U.S. friends and family to.  Don't worry about being "chunky" during auditions because there have been plenty of curvaceous babes that have rocked that stage.  Do what you can do and let your voice do the rest.  So excited for you.

J-mom and Rozie: Way to go on the working out and losing lbs!  Reading that has motivated me to get back on it again. Oh, I love "the jiggle test" too funny. When I lost 11 lbs nobody at work said a thing to me until a month later.  It was weird, all of a sudden after completing level 1 of the Shred I think, everyone at work was all "oh, what have you been doing" but I had already lost the weight weeks prior.  I think it just takes time for people to notice sometimes or they don't want to say anything until they're sure so they don't stick their foot in their mouth who knows.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

Good Morning everyone, hope everybody had a great weekend!

Rozie: P90x is a BeachBody exercise program.  It works by "muscle confusion" so your muscles never get used to doing the same workout; therefore, the results are usually very good.

Welcome Justicec and Rynesmom!

Ladies, I'm finishing up my last couple of days of the Shred level 3.  Then I might be moving on to Chalene Extreme (another beachbody program).  However, I will most likely revisit the shred because I do love what it does for the body.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi ladies,

I finally did the level 3 last night and did it ever kick my butt! I was soaked by the time I was done just like cboisseau72.  It's tough not having worked out for a while and starting back up with the Shred!

Dacis: Thanks and I'm sorry to hear about the tooth, accident and toe!  American Idol - wow, that's fantastic!

Eve: Congrats on the size 9! your hard work is paying off.  Kempo is a serious workout, probably one of the hardest in the P90x it's truly crazy.  I'm sure you can handle it though because you work out hard as it is.  Tell me how it goes.

Jezimom: happy to hear you're feeling better!

Rozie: Way to go with the Shred and the elliptical!
