The Lounge But Horseback Riding Is So Easy. Apr 14 2009

Wow - surprisingly hot thread.

If this can happen on horse back, it ain't easy.  Try running a horse top speed and turning in a 10 foot radius at the same time, and tell me it's not hard.  By the way, that is my daughter, on her way to what was probably be a record time for her.  The horse just ducked the #5 pole instead of passing it, then she lost her stirrup, and so when the mare made the right turn, no support to keep her on.

Weight Loss Predict my dress size if I lost weight! Apr 14 2009

Hmm - well I'm 5'7" and started at 214 lbs, I was a 20 or 22 top (I'm top heavy) and a 20 bottom, so I guess you were lucky being a smaller size than me.  You must have a smaller frame.

Right now I'm 165 and wearing a large/XL top (again, the boobs) and a size 10 jean.

So for you, with your goal being 10 less than what I am now, and seemingly smaller to begin with, I would guess a size 6-8.

Venus figures date back to the Stone Age.  It goes to reason that they could not have been sculpted without having seen what an obese woman looks like.   I have read it theorized that obese women were a sign of wealth and status, being an indicator that the men in the womens' clan were such successful hunters/gatherers/traders that the women did not have to do anything except eat the plentiful food and have lots and lots of babies.

Congrats!  Isn't it wonderful!  I started my journey at 437lbs and as of today I am 235lbs.  I have had a few OMG moments to date and it's great how they sneak up on you.  Some of my moments are as small as crossing my legs, the car seatbelt going in without me lifting my body, fitting into a diner booth and a movie theatre seat, being able to ride the rollar coaster and wearing zip up blue jeans!!  But my best moment had to be last weekend.  I went hiking and decided to try to do 6 miles.  I was shocked when I was finished, looked at my pedometer and it said 12.5 miles!!! OMG, there was a day I couldn't walk the mall Innocent.

WOW!  200 lbs - that is so awesome!

I love seeing this thread I started (under my old ID) revived every couple of weeks -  I am glad it has been motivating for so many, and a HUGE CONGRATS to everyone who has posted their successes.

In answer to your pill question: FDA warnings about life threatening ingredients - names are named in this report: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28355841/

Secondly, seriously, according to your profile you are 5'9" and your goal is 100 lbs???  You indicated you have previously had disordered eating, and problems with pills.   I think that you probably still do.  That is an extremely unhealthy goal for your height.  You are not going to find a lot of support on here with those kinds of goals and questions about pills and detoxes.

I hope you rethink your goal, and good luck to you.

I know I'm late to the party, but I concur it is (was) probably a mild sun allergy.  My poor daughter goes thru it the first time she gets major sun exposure every year.  She now takes benadryl prior to the exposure, and of course we use a 50 spf sunscreen on her.   Good timing to remind me to be prepared though, thanks  - our first horse show is tomorrow and it's supposed to be 78 and sunny all day.

Were out in the boonies, no cable option available unfortunately, or that's what I'd do.

I already have the DSL (the $34 version - I tried the $19 "Lite" let your freind know it wasn't much faster than dialup - the only benefit is using the phone while on the internet).

I just wanted to know if anyone's done it.  I'm afraid that if I call them they may not exactly tell the truth.  In my prior experience cleaning up my mom's bills they suckered her into, I've found phone telephone company reps to be just as bad as a used car dealer.    Thanks though.

Weight Loss Yellow Pee Mar 18 2009

Wiki Answers says high levels of vitamin C and high levels of betacarotene can cause yellow pee (and yes, so can asparagus)

However is your pee also cloudy?  That can be a sign of a mild UTI that may not be symptomatic.

Finally popped into this thread, and when I saw "border colie + apartment" all I thought was Surprised !

As a former BC rescue foster mom, I highly suggest giving him up.  BCs need soooo much more than you can give.  Heck, they were more than even I could handle living on 2 acres with various farm animals to keep them entertained.

Here's a BC rescue in your area.  Call them, they may be able to help (even if it's only to give you some ideas)

Your #s sound really good to me.   So many other reasons you could have not lost - nearing TTOM, a little too much sodium causing water retention, or if you just recently added in the exercise your muscles retain water at when they repair themselves (anytime you are sore).  Just hang in there!

that's the other thing, hey?  it's such a buyer's market.  the lease on my mazda expires in june, and i know they're going to try to put me in a shiny new car.  my plan from the beginning has been to buy it out, but i know if they offer me a bargain, i'm going to want t bite.

I read an article on CNN.com that the used car market is sooo hot right now  that dealers are actually calling back people who just bought vehicles within the last 2 years that (through maintenance records) they know still had low mileage and were offering them virtually even trades on new cars, like less than $1000 out of pocket to trade their old one for a new model.    So if your Mazda's still in good shape, you may get a better deal to trade it in than to buy it out.   It's a good idea to do your homework now than so when you get to the dealer and they make you an offer, you'll know if it's a deal you just can't refuse.

I have a Chrysler PT Cruiser, and I can easily fit a Great Dane in the hatch with the rear seats up (even 2 if its a real short trip), or 2 Great Danes and a Border Collie with the rear seats folded down.  Did that moving across country 1800 miles and they were all comfy.

The passenger seating is REALLY roomy.  My hubby is 6'1 and can comfortably sit in the rear seat.

It averages 20mpg city, 27mpg hwy.   I have 98000 miles on it and it has never been in the shop for non-maintenance repairs, except for a new shifter cable and that was very recently.

My family's party fave:

Take 8 oz of cream cheese let get to room temp, and beat in one jar of marshmallow fluff (cream).   Refrigerate

Makes an AWESOME fruit dip, especially for strawberries  (which here in Louisiana at least, are in season - we're having for my daughters Bday this weekend!)

At the beach, anything goes - at your weight you may actually be one of the slimmer ones in a bikini.   We used to practically live at the beach all summer in Corona del Mar, and believe me, there were always lots of ladies who really shouldn't have been wearing bikinis wearing them.  No one will look twice at you (except in a good way I hope!Tongue out ).

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but some cats just WON'T use the litter box (I've owned 3 of at least 30 since I was a kid who were this way).  After ruling out UTIs and worms on all of them, last resort we had with all of them is to kick their a**es out of the house.   I know you said she's old, so I know that's not an option for you.  Like a prior poster said, she may just have to be locked up in one room (preferably with non-carpeted floors!) 99% of the time.  If she's as lazy as you say, she probably won't even mind, as long as she gets a fair share of attention.

Also to add - you do have at least 2 litter boxes don't you?  Some cats refuse to share...

Because little girls, you will eventually age. And there is nothing more depressing than seeing a 45 year old with big ole fake ta-tas trying to look 20 while power-walking themselves into oblivion.

There is one thing more depressing, it is when said 45 year old is also covered with tattoos.

 And a fake orange tan!

You all just described the lady at my gym!   Always in full HEAVY makeup, she spends 15min in the tanning booth, then comes out and spends and hour on the elliptical chatting with her friends.  I've got to sneak a picture of her for you!
