Motivation Why do I sabotage myself? Nov 03 2009

I understand what your problem is, and not only changing your diet because of the macronutrient ratios will help. Because you've lost weight, you feel justified in eating something that you would have restricted yourself eating if you were dieting/exercising. Numerous celebrities' weight loss became their amount of weight gained plus more because of this justification.

I've found that the best thing is to simply not have anything tempting around you for weeks. Please don't underestimate this tip, because a person's common sense like you said will just shut off they merely see what is tempting.

What ever you do, do not let yourself fall into your own traps. A package of Oreos (anything tempting that you like, really) is not speaking to you to buy it an then eat it.

Soy protein in excess can be bad - it has been shown to raise estrogen levels

that may be desirable to some people.

I agree with puh8suwrux, those girls will probably experience something emotionally and physically distressful in their life that'll cause some weight gain and they won't know what to do about their bodies because they've never had to try hard to achieve their figures.

On a more positive note, just imagine yourself at an ideal weight. Just try this scenario. You're happy, maybe out with friends and family at a beach wearing a bikini. Little do they know that you were working out virgorously that morning, maybe pumping iron or running for miles. You've come out out of the workout with a huge smile and renewed sense of self. You're off to the beach in that same mood after getting ready and you're very proud of all that you have accomplished.

Doesn't that sound like something you'd love to feel like? It can put you in a different mindset if you just believe that one day it'll happen, because you deserve for it to happen. :]

actually the government is not that reliable, since the USDA is made upmostly  of the people that promote meat and dairy products (and the USDA tries its best to help the farmers of America), so their "recommendations" are not as unbiased as you'd think. i found the harvard one to be more accurate.

boy, are you right. i could not have said it better.

in addition, it's almost as if since i KNOW the amount of calories in it, i'll go over a serving size's worth. especially if it's something i concocted through experimentation 'just for a taste test' but then i go nomnomnom.

That's a really good method for motivation. I did nearly the same thing, but I simply bought/borrowed/tried on again pants in just one size smaller to make it a goal I could actually feel and see being met.

Today I was scratching an itch on my arm and felt a hard lump. First, I was afraid. Maybe it was inflammation from an injury? But no, it's too hard for that and I didn't get hurt recently. I looked in the mirror, and would you look at that, it's just strong muscle. :] I felt pretty awesome.

Previous post edited. I realized that was a mistake and it shall not be repeated, since it was deliberate and not because of my body rejecting it for some reason.

On the label is said sweetened dessicated coconut meat.

My OMG moment is a tad lame. At school we were recquired to do the Fitness Gram, basically a physical test. One of the parts were how many push-ups you could do, and I could only do HALF of a pushup. Absolutely pitiful. Then, about a couple months later when I really started exercising regularly, I found that I could do between 8 and 12 at one time. :] I thought it was awesome, I felt so proud of myself that this little .5 of a pushup has increased by 1600 to 2400%. :]

Foods Food Phases...anyone else? Mar 25 2009

I went through an unhealthy binging phase on..healthy food. Like whole grain cereals, nuts, apples (fruit of all kinds, really). I second the oatmeal thing. I used to eat oatmeal like every morning for a week or so. I also had a beans phase. I avoided meat at all costs, even though it was not for a vegetarian or vegan purpose.. I just kind of hated meat and replaced it with beans. Lots of beans.

I once had a carton with about half the eggs as two-yolk eggs. O.O I guess that hen was extremely prone to having twin chicks. You should add the extra yolk calorie count to it.

i totally died when i looked at the calorie count for the crunchwrap supreme at taco bell. it was so good! D: eh, it's okay...one of their fresco tacos have under 200 or 300 cals, I don't remember.

Starbucks. I was so shocked. What goes into the coffee that makes them so high calorie?!

Dunkin Donuts..I expected high calories but for one cookie, giantish as it may be, it was 600-something calories!

Krasca or Kraska means 'paint' in Russian as a noun. I used to draw a lot and I wished I could paint well, but I stopped drawing because I felt I was wasting my time. However, the wish remains to be a great painter. :]

I also used this username because I didn't want people to google my regular username/screenname and see my account on CC. I'd feel super weird about explaining my obsession with calories to them.

oh, wow. i'm in complete agreement with the whole largeness on top and smallness on the bottom clothing arrangement. D: even though i'm apple shaped, thank god i lose weight as quickly as i gain it...which may be a curse and a blessing. i've been told i have rather nice legs and i do like them as they are, but i would so love to be rid of my gut. i have small breasts too. -sigh-
