My ex-husband said just a few months before we split.." I could never picture you skinny."
When I feel unmotivated, I just let that play over in my head. And he now lives in a different state, but I dream of casually running into him looking HAWT. I will get there. |

I have the relationship with water and smaller portions going for me, still trying to figure the working out one.
Welcome!
I drink a gallon or close to it of water a day. If I don't , I find myself grazing. Water is the answer for me.
Keep us posted. You can do this! |

Whenever someone starts a sentence with " I don't mean to be rude BUT....(insert rude statement here). And also when in response to something you may have said, the other person says..."I was about to say." What? What in the heck were you about to say?????? Fiddlesticks that has always bugged me.

When I feel like that, or when I've had too much sodium, I drink a cup of hot ginger tea, sometimes twice a day. The drugstore brand, Tazo is readily available. It helps me..I hope it can help you.

I keep a thigh-master under my desk and do 50 reps a few times through out the day. It burns my thigh muscles, inner and outer, and my lower abs. Love it! I wouldn't do it at home, but just sitting at my desk...why not.

I just read the industry calls them 'growth additive', but "hormones' are illegal. I don't see much difference. Free the chickens! |

Original Post by themassageguy: It's not just beef and pork. Have you seen how they breed chickens for consumption? They inject so many hormones into their breast, that they actually fall over when walking around. Unfortunately, I love chicken so I buy free-range at least. |

Like thin girl said, eat minimal calories before the dinner. Cereal, meal supplement shake, plain salad and lots of water. And if you can, ALWAYS check out the restaurants menu online before you go, if available. If not, chicken fajitas is a good option. Ordered with corn tortillas, instead of flour-even better. Avoid the sour cream and cheese, but load up on salsa or pico. Yum! I think just the skillet of of grilled chicken and veggies is 350 cals. With a little planning, you will pull it off no prob! |

If you guys are intimate or even half-naked around each other....he has noticed. Don't chalk it up to stupidity. My bf gave me a hug after a 9 lb loss and commented about the difference. Significant others, if they truly care about you, are supposed to be complimentary of your achievements. My current bf is worth his weight in gold, silver and platinum! He tells me how proud of me he is and it just makes me work that much harder to be a stone cold fox and be on his arm. My EX husband however, couldn't stand any success I made, whether it be weight loss, career, compliments from anyone. It was most obvious when I used to be a journalist and my articles were on the front page everyday and his co-workers would be 'i really liked your wife's latest article...' etc and he would brush them off. Turns out after an entire year, he didn't read a single ONE. It's what I call a narcissistic Pig! After a few years of this, it broke me down. I lost self confidence; I didn't care about my body anymore. it's only natural for people to seek support/approval from that mate who is supposed to be our knight. And if they can't fulfill their relationship duties, we doubt ourselves. Also, when you are soul-tied to someone, there are NO excuses for mentioning weight loss being a touchy conversation. Those are boundaries reserved for co-workers, your dry cleaners, mailman and priest. Trust me..he has noticed. I would suggest evaluating other areas of your relationship where maybe you excel and see if he is ignoring those as well. After that...just scream at him..I'VE BEEN WORKING HARD TO GET THESE RESULTS, AND I LOOK GREAT...DON'T YA THINK? Just my two cents.
Super fab on your weight loss. You are a stone fox! |

It's been a few days. How is everyone doing? Success stories? Struggles? Recipe suggestions? I do my weigh-in tomorrow, but in two weeks I have lost 9 pounds. I didn't exercise the first week. The second week, I eased into it. And this past week, I've done at least 12-20 min of cardio every day with push-ups and crunches every other day. I also drink a gallon of water each day. I had some liquor last night, so I am kinda worried about tomorrow's weigh-in. If I have gained..I wll give up the spirits, no prob. |

I'm not anti-tax. I pay taxes at the grocery store, I pay tolls, I pay taxes on licensing, I pay a fuel tax, I pay a property tax, I pay a telephone exise tax, I pay a vehichle registration tax, I pay medicare and Social Security and I don't have a problem with any of those. At least with those, I can see where the dollars may be going, and getting some return services out of those taxes paid. But can anyone here find in the U.S. Constitution where we are required BY LAW to pay federal taxes on wages? And I'm not referring to the IRS tax code. If you can find it, I will arrest my case.

The money used for the bailouts is illegal anyways. There is not ONE constitutional law that states we have to pay federal income tax on wages earned. The 16th Amendment was never ratified.

It happens to the best of us. I safeguard myself by keeping a huge bag of frozen fruit and cool whip lite (or fat free) topping in the fridge. I don't plan it into my daily meals, so it's there just for when the cravings attack. |

My boyf takes them and they give him short energy boosts, so if that's what you are needing, go for it. Weight loss...not so much. Also, I would buy them at a health food store or maybe amazon, but not any of those random websites that sell it. They end up being scams and charge your card/account every few days. |

If you are getting your calories, then I would say no..it's not too much. I am over 200 lbs, so I have a lot to lose. I lost 6 pounds the first week by keeping my calories at 1300ish and I didn't exercise any. |

That day sounded pretty shoddy. And you restrained yourself well from binge eating. I probably woud've had a cheeseburger and milkshake after one of those days. But today is a brand new day and that can work wonders. You will reach your goals by Mother's Day because you are determined. Just log in everything you eat.

Original Post by jbrewing: I went out to eat with my boyfriend on Saturday and I asked the waiter for a nutritional guide. He literally laughed in my face and said the food here is so good because it's so bad. So I did the best I could. I had 3 oz of grilled sirloin, house salad and two bites of rice. It looked smothered in butter. Aren't the restaurants supposed to have at least one printed nutritional guide on hand? I already asked once and I wasn't going to press the issue. I looked up the restaurant before we went, and it wasn't included on CC. (Texas Roadhouse). Oh well, I still lost weight last week! |

Of course you're still in! So anyone who joins this forum want to post their successes or failures. We will hold each other accountable. I am just upset at myself for not starting to live like this at least a year ago. But I digress.
I'll start. I started CC a week ago. SW-291 3/1/09 CW-286 3/8/09 First Goal-262 GW-149
It was a good week. Keep it up everyone!
