all you have to do is search a few forums with 1000 calories entered into the search bar to find out how very unhealthy eating less than 1200 calories is...1200 isn't even the recommended amount for weight loss..it is the BARE MINIMUM to LIVE!! you're setting yourself up for unsustainable weight loss and yo yo dieting by being so restrictive. i'd suggest you increasing your intake to 1200 minimum but more likely 1500 minimum if you're getting any physical activity. please do not make excuses for your low intake and say you're stuffed or CANNOT EAT MORE because we all know that we've all eaten more than 1000 calories easily and to make excuses is absurd. Eat an extra handful of nuts, a scoop of guacamole on a burrito, an extra yogurt, some granola in your cereal, dried fruit, etc. there are tons of things you can eat that are healthy and will boost your intake. i hope this helps!! and it's not meant to be harsh but just straightforward and direct!! good luck!

So, you've really got me thinking, and I want your advice.

The CC calculater recommends 1,200 calories with little to no physical activity for my body type and weight. Do you think I should do more then that?

Motivation I did horrible this week...feel like I'm going to give up! Mar 06 2009

The best remedy for feeling depressed is to get some sunlight if you can, humor, and to do exercise. Depending on where you live and the whether you can go outside and take a walk or a jog  for a few minutes and you ll feel better. Watch a funny movie, turn on comedy central and laugh.

Why am I telling you to do this?

Exercise, laughing and sunlight have all been supported by research studies to help with feelings of depression. They all release happy hormones which will decrease your sad feelings.

DON'T give up you can do this.

Just jump right back to your plan. We all relapse but the inportant thing is to get back in the game. Work extra hard and you'll loose what you've gained. nothing is impossible, as long as you put effort.

GOODLUCK!

Weight Loss Clothes on or off? Mar 06 2009

I weigh myself everyday in the morning, with my undies after I use the restroom.

I find that if I weigh myself everyday, I'm more motivated to loose more weight.

I get extremely happy when I log my weight for that day and CC tells me how many pounds I've lost.

It also motivates me when I'm not doing so well.

For example the other day I gained back the ponds I had lost, so I made sure I ate a lower amount of calories to make up for the calories I overate. And it worked I did not gain and I lost more then the previous day.

Motivation I just denied the temptation to eat some free girl scout cookies! Mar 03 2009
