I tried this... and as amethystgirl said.... bad posture... my back was sore and i was all hunched over by the end of the day... I tried for a few days to remember my posture but still at the end of each day i was hunched... finally deflated the thing and pulled out my chair again... although something you could try is when you are on the phone stand up... pace... I have a very small office but i put my phone on the other side of it so i have to move to answer it ... when i do i stand and pace while i talk... its not alot but its something to keep me moving... my muscles will get sore from my workouts if i sit all day long!

hope this helps!

This is silly, you have asked for help we have posted healthy helping ideas and because you are not hearing what you want to hear you are getting angry... as I said before I have not been here long but the one thing that I appreciate over everything else is that this site and its members pride themselves on HEALTHY weight loss... so if you are looking for support to achieve a healthy weight loss goal then I believe you are in the right place however if you are looking for a fast cure maybe you should look elsewhere!

Okay... Diets dont work because the conotation that is put on them is that you eat like "this" for a specific amount of time and get to look like "that" then you enevitably go back to eating what you did before... Lifestyle changes work (this is NOT a fancy word for diet)... they work because you are making a life long committment to your health... you are changing your eating exercising and life for the long term (forever) and not just until you look like "that" I have tried diets ... then i have binged my way back up dieted again binged up and this is not only frustrating its not healthy for your weight to fluctuate in this manner... I made a committment to eat more healthy quite a while back... I removed the unhealthy foods from my home and replaced them with heathy alternatives (THIS DOESNT MEAN I DONT HAVE SLIP UPS)... I just recently began to add exercise to my routine as well... it has been a slow process but overall I know that not only am i losing weight i am doing it in a healthy way. Not eating at all is not the answer... you will enevitably end up in the fridge, pantry, or drive thru binging... you will become frustrated with your inability to stick to "your diet" and vow to stop eating (again) ... then find yourself binging (again)... its a vicious cycle and you will end up gaining more weight even if you lose a few pounds in the begining... Use CC to its full potential I know it and the people here have supported me and given me some great tools to continue on my own journey, and i have not been a member for that long!

Good luck to you, and best heath wishes!

My Juicer, Love it, fresh juice all the time... great way to get in all the veggies you need .... Love doing spinach in it mixed with fruit!... ah a trick to the taste buds... If i were making a spinach salad I would want to add dressing (calories) Now I drink My salad! I still love fresh crunchy veggies to munch on but lets be serious... how many of us get the food guide recomended amount in a day!

Weight Loss Why Thin People Are Thin Mar 17 2009

Keeping in mind that not all the time does skinny = healthy... I know a great many people who are skinny by nature yet are out of breath by the top of the stairs/tired all the time (never having energy to do anything)/or just generally not in good health... its not always about whats going on with the outside (or the scale) that determines our health and fitness abilities! Just some "food" for thought next time you see that "skinny" girl eating a piece of chocolate cake!

Weight Loss Always hungry! Mar 12 2009

Just a thought, I find that when I eat less in the early parts of the day I am migrating to the fridge at a steady pace in the evening, however when I eat enough in the earlier parts of my day i find after supper I am no longer hungry. I can stick to my no eating after 7pm rule! Also I found that every time I went on a "Diet" I couldnt stick to it... I guess its that you want what you cant have mentality, I had to change my mind set this is not a diet this is a lifestyle change, I dont deny myself things I enjoy I simply enjoy them in moderation. I still have my bad days and i only just began my lifestyle change 3 months ago but CC has really helped me keep all of these things in check and slowly I am making healthier changes to my life!

I understand how frustrating it can be, dont give up, you can do it!

Fabulous Arriba! I too just recently started my journey to a healthier me! I find that the days I am feeling like crap are the days I eat too much of all the wrong things and dont push myself at the Gym. Tyipically i try to make it to the gym MWF mornings, spin class on T afternoons, and the pool for lane swim on R mornings! Saturdays vary week to week ( I have a friend who likes to try new classes on saturdays - Yoga/ Sweatin Saturdays (almost killed me the first time I went!)/ Spin/ Water areobics ect.) What does your routine looking like?

Weight Loss Hello, I'm Jackie, and I'm an excessive eater Mar 11 2009

Hi Jackie,

Im there with you! I found myself in the fridge or pantry far too often eating crap! Not that I dont have slip ups now and then since I have started my journey, I have however found a couple solutions that work most of the time in choosing a healthy meal, or snacks. I take some time out to do some cooking, I cook a large amount of healthy foods and freeze them in individual portions, then when its meal time I can heat it up and have a healthy meal! I also find that if I cut up my fruits and veggies and have them on hand I will choose them as a fresh healthy snack rather than my boyfriends snacky (ie chips/gummy candies/chocolates) things!

I do find that CC is great for keeping me on track too, I have only been a member for a short time myself but already I am seeing a change in my Habits!
