Weight Loss how long did it take you? Nov 25 2009
01:53 (UTC)
4

starting weight: 349

finale weight: 164 (258 currently)

Height: 6'

Age at time of weight loss: 18

Amount of weight lost: 91

Method: 2000+ calories, working out 6 days a week for at least an hour

Time frame: 8 months

Anything else you want to say: I still have a crap load left to lose, but it's much easier (and harder) than I thought it would be. Much better than dieting. :)

Hmm...I wouldn't cut out all sweets. If you did that before, I'm guessing once you lost the weight, you started munching on them again. I think now's a great time to start learning moderation instead of starvation. :) People last longer when they're not hungry or craving things.

Weight Loss Personal Trainer Nov 20 2009

My university offers free trainers, so my health center pushed me there. I think she's too chatty, but she never lets me stop moving. She knew I liked free weights so she was able to helped me get involved with those and taught me how to use everything properly instead of swinging everything around. :)

I agree with brownsug. If you're bored/not seeing the results you're wanting, a trainer would be perfect. And if you two actually get along, all the better. However, it's easier for me to say, since mine is free. <.<

Shay...I didn't like Shay, but I didn't want her to leave. :( But she did get a hell of alot of attention for her size since she was on the edge of death (or something equally dramatic that Jillian said).

Danny's friend...How sad. When he came back that last time, I thought, "This didn't go well at all..." Seeing him again...It was a little sad, but a real life situation. Sometimes you just lose focus.

Lee Hyori only looks that way because she's in her 30's and she normaled out. When she was younger, she was just as thin, if not thinner than half of these girls. And 2NE1 is pretty normal, though Minzy is pretty skinny. In After School, Behka's body is HOT. People call her fat all the time, but I think she has an awesome body for such a young girl.

@attinew: UEE's actually pretty normal (body wise). But there are some pictures of her that have been photoshopped to hell. XD I'm tired of seeing her though. <.< But everyone needs their 15 minutes.

@grrirox: The whole Jay thing is just silly. I thought that he had cursed the country of Korea the way people were acting, and then it was the opposite as soon as he left. It's so stupid! They need to just bring him back.

BEAST is very poppy to me. XD They're cute though. I like Rain's boys better (Bi Babies~). I think they're both cool in there own way though.

A little late, but...that 18 inch waist was SCARY. It didn't look pretty because the rest of her body was bigger than her waist. Adding a few inches really wouldn't kill her. <.< Her view from the side...ugh, it was just werid.

I think UEE is now the lady with the thighs to have because she's the new "it girl." I don't know...curves wouldn't kill some of these stars, but only the more mature stars can have them now-a-days. :(

Relax. x_x

You did go off the deep end a little saying "its one of the saddest days of my life," and all the other stuff. Of course there are people on here that are 200+ (How do you think they feel if you're moaning and groaning about "feeling" fat at a mere 155 pounds?).

Be nice to smwhipple, their advice is actually quite good. You might have some issues if this freaks you out.

If you need some advice/encouragement, by all means, ask for it. That's what this forum is for and you're certainly not the first to hit a wall or "feel fat." That's what this whole site is for!

Don't base you feelings off of a picture. Even models can get some funky images. So just relax.

Also, a number on the scale isn't the ONLY measure of success, it's just the easiest on to obtain. There's how you feel, how you look, and measurements and a whole lot of other things. This is a lifestyle change, not a race, so it's not like you can stop once you get there anyway.

Be happy you lost the 40 pounds and, as my grandmother says, "Put on your big girl panties" and move on. <3

((This is really ironic, since I've made a slew of crybaby posts. <.<))

I know what you're talking about. I'm not asian, but I know of those artists.

I think it does go with the territory because they want to put their best foot forward as a country. Of course there are fat/overweight/average sized asians, but if their top groups and idols had saggy bellies and jelly thighs, people would think that they were letting themselves go if that was the cream of the music crop. ((And you would you want to see BEG's hip dance with swishy bellies? ))

I have no doubt that SNSD has caused a number of eating disorders to try and gain "honey thighs" and -0 waist lines, but there are plenty of American celebrities that have the same effect. Plus, many KPop stars have confessed to diets to lose those extra pounds (Did Miryo diet before comeback?).

I also think that the stereotype comes from asian body types in general. They are thought to be smaller and more petite, man  or woman. These groups just idolize it, and even with the "beast" boys, there's muscular, but not bulky. Still quite lean.

Korea/Asia wants to look their best to the outside world, just like everyone else does. If America could take back their new fat look, I'm sure they would in a heart beat. :)

I agree with miket. If you're sore, you could also have water retention in your muscles. Even if you have a large gap between your burn and your intake, it doesn't just poof away the moment you do it (if only).

Plus, fish and chips probably have sodium as well, which is why you "gained" 3-4 pounds.

Weight Loss I'm curious... Oct 24 2009

Fat movie.

There was a teenager, in highschool, who was obese, and he was going to get gastric surgery. But the thing that got me was, he never tried! They would take him to the gym, and he would go and eat pizza instead! I thought that it was such a waste to get the surgery as if it was his only option, when he never even tried to begin with (I have nothing against the surgery, but that guy irritated me). Then, the night before, his family was  cooking dinner, and he started crying about. Like, sobbing. I was so disgusted with him acting that way with food, that I couldn't help but take a look at myself. How can I say anything about him when I'm just as fat (I think...I don't remember his size).

I had plenty of embarrassing moments, but none of them every made me want to actually lose weight, just crash diet.  Other people can't make me lost weight, just me. :)

I started this April on this site, and lost 85 pounds so far, so I guess it was a good movie. XD

You're eating too little. 1500 in the minimum for under 21.

I plugged your info in here : http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html

I'd say you're lightly active with just walking around and such. You'll survive with 1300-ish calories, but you won't thrive. :(

HOW COULD THEY HAVE NOT OF VOTED HER OFF!?!?!?!?!?!

Even from a game play perspective, if they kept Coach Moe and he didn't lose the weight, you're guaranteeing yourself one more week. AND TRACEY IS SUCH A WITCH!

I was screaming at the TV when she made the teams. How could she be so blatantly mean?

Loved Bob's face when she said they had a connection. He was like, "Uh...No...No we don't." Tracey just knew that Jillian would of kicked her butt. :)
