Hi, I used to just eat my dinner before so I'd still feel a little full when I started 'relaxing'. Usually a meal with a little bread, meat, veggies and some fruit, so you've kind of satisfied any craving you have so you don't give in when u 'relax'. :) |

| Weight Loss | I'M SO FRUSTRATED - i keep GAINING WEIGHT! | May 12 2009 20:56 (UTC) |

Hello!! This is going to sound cliche but be patient! It seriously takes some time before you see the scale going in the right direction. the first couple of weeks when you start to make an effort to lose weight is the worst because you just wont see the results you want right away! it takes at least a month before you see some results and then later on you may plateau and you'll have to change up your routine and maybe even take a break from dieting. The point is weight loss is not something you can just decide to do and it magically happens...obviously. So take your time, dont be hard on yourself. Portion control is also very important. keep eating regularly to keep your metabolism going but make sure you're watching HOW MUCH you eat. But definitely do not starve yourself. It will have the opposite effect of what you want. Eat healthy, work out and BE PATIENT. One day you'll get on the scale and be like "Oh dear Lord its working!!!" and you'll be even more motivated. But dont expect too much those first couple of weeks. Chances are that if you drop weight fast and early on you may put it back on again. Trust me I get what you're dealing with and I was there a few months ago, getting depressed about not losing weight but a couple of months in your hard work starts paying off. Just stick with it. Whatever you do don't let it get you down to the point where you give up because then you're just at square one again. That frustration you feel is unfortunately part of attaining the goal but it gets better for sure if you just wait it out. Give your healthy eating and working out routine one month to 40 days before you freak out that its not working. |
