Loosing wieght is hard work and determiniation. There is no easier way then that to get yourself in shape. Sorry to see her pushing pills.

I totally agree with this, it took me a long while to realize this since I too was a person that thought 1200 calories was the magic number. I was always hungry causing me to grab wrong things. Needless to say,  working hard exercising and loosing nothing. I could not understand Why.

I am now around 1500-1600 calories and am satisfied. I also choose to eat every 3-4 hours. These are healthy choices and I am not scrambling around trying to fill this huge hunger monster that usually shows up between getting off work and getting dinner on the table. It feels good to have some control again. I lost 2.2 pounds this week. I also am subscribing to Positive self talk, I am turning my sabotaging inner self to a friend, it is working. I feel like I can get there this time.

Thanks for the feed back everyone. It is difficult to keep going but I don't want to stop. I guess just tired of everything, I put on a shirt this morning and I can see the small differance, the shirt is a bit looser, pants too. I don't want to put them on again in another week and they are tight again. This will be my most difficult task, and reading the posts on this website and what you guys have said, it makes me realize we are all  fighting the same battle. Our reasons for loosing my be different but our feelings, frustrations and loosing motivation are quite similar.

I will have to update my journal, I did not post for the last couple weeks.

Hello everyone,

How is everyone doing. I started to get up early and exercise and so far it has worked out well. I have not skipped a day. I am working the three days per week and one on the weekend with the kids, either bicycle riding, kickball or basketball. This weekend was kickball. They slaughtered me but I got in some good exercise. Laughing

How is it going?

I got up 5:30 to exercise!! I am so proud of myself, I always said "I can't get up early" well now I have and I like it. No kids to interupt me, fall oveer me or frustrate me. WHOOHOO.

Plus I am Hyped!!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, sorry took long to reply. I was having hard time adn loosing my focus since the scale has went up instead of down. Even thinking I was eating properly. I am going to have to watch my weekends and exercise more.

Ann: Thanks for the motivation.

Lost: great job on the 2 pound loss, that is terriffic. Sounds like you have a crazy day too, makes it even hard to concentrate on being healthy so WHOOHOO on those 2 pounds!!!

Righteo: sorry about the hurt calves Cry the rest will defenatly help. I am glad to hear you are still moving in some kind of way, WHOOHOO to you too!!

Gr8: congrats on the loss, it is true you need to like and enjoy the plans you take up for being healthy. It will keep you going, WHOOHOO!!

I think I have used the tools, I will have to go and check. I think I used them before I started exercising. Maybe I need to recalibrate.

Morning Heather,

How are you doing? How are the roomates doing, did you talk about having healthy foods ? I had made an alfredo chicken recipe from this site on Sunday and it was low fat but delisious, they would never know it was healthier then the regular.

Also the weather is getting better (hopefully by you too) so maybe you can get out more, challange them to a game of kickball, they would probably love it..when was the last time you guys played kickball? plus if you have an area where other young people live, I am sure thwy would come out and ask to play too. Maybe some hot dudes too Innocent

Hello,

I too have difficulty with 'cheat days', my weekends are difficult. If I am off work then I do not have to focus on the weight.  

I am thinking not to have it right now (cheat day). Since I am starting over, it is too hard for me to gain the control when I cheat. I am still too weak. I figure after a fe months, maybe three, I will try to have them and see if I can control it ok.

Right now I just got some weight watchers desserts and ice cream and will plan them in when I want that somehting extra. Also, if I am giving ice cream to the kids, I can still have some of the ww desserts. I will not feel left out.

Congratulations!! that is terrific

I think most of us need to stop focussing on the scale, I do the same thing and do not realize the other benefits that arise from healthy eating. Thanks for showing me an example.

I have decided not to tell anyone this time around. It seems that they are always saying something negative, want you to eat bad like them, say that stuff is for birds, Etc. I have always stopped dieting not because of the comments but everything pushing me to grab the bad food.

So this time I have not told anyone except my kids, they actually want to help me anyway they can Cool. My 6 and 8 year old hop right along side of me to exercise.

Let people talk, as it was stated above focus on you and try to ignore the negativity. They just Hata's Smile

How was your saturday, did you hop on the scale? Hopefully it made you smile. Also how is the room mate situation, have you discussed anything about maybe watching what may be lying around or bringing in some healthy stuff.

I know it is difficult eating good when your friends are eating whatever but we (I have to include myself because I faultered yesterday with the peer eating) have to make sure we grab what is good for opur plan. Everyone wants to socialize and food is a big part of that, we need to make sure we have our healthy stuff around. I had a freind that came over and actually pulled out abag of carrots, then she showed me her 'take out bag' she had a few different healthy items that she enjoys and ACTUALLY takes them out when she visits people. I thought that was great and even better that she followed through with it. Maybe we both can try to do that.

Let me know how you are doing?

This is an external stimulant, you did not want it before you saw it so just take it out of your mind, telling yourself about the trip you are going to take and maybe have some planned ice cream during your trip will be more enjoying then this fast grab.

You are going to feel terrible after eating it, take the control back. plan for the item during your trip.
