My husband and I are big meat eaters, so Atkins was perfect for us, we have not had any of the low energy, crabbyness etc... that others have complained about. We also have our own garden so the veggie part was easy we just planted and grew what we would be needing. IF your not a meat person then Atkins is not for you, like with any diet plan you have to use common sense (which by the way isn't so common anymore!!!) |

I started taking Apidexin for a boost of energy since I am up at 5 am and usually going till around 11 pm, I take care of my household and my grandmother. I did notice that I did have extra energy without any side effects such as the jitters, cotton mouth etc... I have also managed to lose an average of 5.6 lbs per week while taking it BUT I also exercise 5 to 6 days a week and eat Clean foods. |

8 lbs in 5 week should be easy... Eat clean foods and eat 5 to 6 times a day Do at least an hour of Cardio Do a couple days of weight training I think clean foods will be the key |

here is my question How do we deal with a trainer or supposed trainer that says: Women trying to lose shouldn't lift only lots of cardio and if they lift keep it small like 2 to 3 lbs. |

Thanks :) I'll get to catch up on alot of sleep next week I have a cousin coming down to stay with Gradma for a week. Trust me when I get hungry I eat, I eat "clean" foods such as veggies, chicken and fish nothing processed or in a can ( unless we canned it ourselves from the garden ) I also cut down red meat to twice a week (3 oz each)

It is also the consumer that buys products from overseas don't buy it and Wal-Mart won't sell it. Minimum wage is a heck of alot better then no wage! |

Actually it is NOT the food it is the lack of exericse and self control in our society, my grandfather lived to be 96 years old and wasn't sick a day in his life he went quietly in his sleep and he ate American food everyday. We sit in front of the TV, we sit at our desks, we drive everywhere, Where is the exercise? It is not the food it is simply lack of exercise and self control to know when to stop putting food in our mouths. |

Not trying to stir up anything but I keep reading that if you eat meat you can't be against animal cruelty, why? I eat meat and I will go tooth and nail against anyone mistreating an animal, I am putting my best effort in getting petitions signed to keep micheal vick from playing in the NFL again, so how can you judge and say that because I eat meat I am not against animal cruelty? 99.9% of families that raise their own cattle, chickens, hogs, etc.. are not in anyway cruel to the animals they raise. When I was a kid my grandparents had a farm when it was time for slaughter it was a fast and painless process. They had clean barns and coops to live in, good food, plenty of water and were NOT mistreated in anyway

I understand what you are saying about diet pills but like I said I only take mine for an extra energy boost. I have made clean eating a life style not just a diet so yes I will continue to eat this way. And I DO NOT in any way recommed alli to anyone, shoot I wouldn't even feed it to my ex-hubby and I want him to suffer. |

Maybe but here is the thing about alli this is from Fatburner.net and having tried Alli I can honestly say it's TRUE you find a bathroom and stay there. If you want the truth, as tens of thousands of Alli users can attest to, a better phrase would be that the fats simply “leak from your body”. No joke. Fatty, Oily, Smelly anal seepage / leakage. The side effects of Alli are:
After I read up on customer reviews and spoke with friends who have taken Alli, I went back and read through their site. It is absolutely hilarious when you realize that all of these quotes center around the fact that you will have uncontrollable oily anal seepage:

I know that my diet of "clean" foods and exercise will be the reason I lose the weight but the extra energy boost is needed on some days |

| Weight Loss | How often do you weigh yourself? | Mar 22 2009 11:16 (UTC) |

My husband and I weigh in once a week, we have our own little "biggest loser" competiton going on now and the winner each week gets a special treat. The scale by no means should be your only device for measuring success, your clothes being loser, rings getting to big, etc... You have to remember that as you excercise you will burn fat and gain lean muscle which weighs more but you are getting smaller. |

| Fitness | Is it okay to do the same exercises all the time? | Mar 20 2009 12:57 (UTC) |
|
That is kind of my question, I always do the elliptical for my cardio. I have a bad heel and walking on the treadmill or even walking the track becomes painful after about 10 to 15 minutes BUT I can work on the elliptical for a couple hours at a time without pain. So my question is, is it OK to just do cardio on the elliptical so long as I vary my workouts and resistance? I also get in 2 days of strength training along with cardio and vary those exercises from week to week. Thanks Ree |

| Weight Loss | Bad advice from a personal trainer..."dont eat" | Mar 13 2009 22:53 (UTC) |
|
The personal trainer that I was using was a nutritionist. He had me working out 3 to 4 hours a day ( 1 hr circuit, 1.5 cardio, and the rest classes at the gym) He also only had me eating 950 calories a day, I stayed Hungry all the time and I just didn't feel like doing anything. My point being even though they may have a certificate saying they are a Nutritionist doesn' t mean they are worth their weight in salt. |
