Sorry for late posting, been hectic here. 

I'm really pleased I lost 13.5 pounds, it's bang on for my target of 6-7 pounds a month.  Thanks to everyone for the support and PINK still rocks!

Hope the move goes ok faithymom.  It can be very stressful but it's also very good exercise lol

Down a pound this week, quite happy with that.  It's not coming off as fast as it was but I think that's because I'm not walking as much or as quickly as the weather's got warmer here in the UK (I'm not keen on being sweaty lol)

Maybe it's time to trim the calories a little until autumn rolls around again and I go faster!!!

Not so good this week, I'm afraid - stayed the same.  Better than a gain, I suppose.  I just hope this isn't the start of the dreaded plateau.

I feel your pain.  Everyone who has experienced this will sympathise immensely.

I tend to wear a culotte-cut slip if I know I'm going to walking for a while (they're made out of slip material but cut like baggy shorts).  A lot of other people use cycling shorts under skirts.

Baby powder will help but you can also buy products that help - anti chafing gel etc.

Sorry to hear about your pooch, zionjen.  It's five years since I lost my beautiful kitty cat and I still miss her.  It does get a little easier with time, but you never stop loving them. 

And the same for you, faithymom - pets do become very much a part of the family.

It's raining here in the UK so no chance of being outdoors!

I've been entertaining family, trying out my new massage couch on willing victims... I mean volunteers... Cooking things that are bad for you... Eating things that are bad for you (but not very much!)...

My son wants enchiladas for lunch.  They are truly the devil's food.  I find it very difficult to resist them.  I may have to go for a looooooong walk after I've made them! lol

Hi thhq

I'm currently eating 2000 - 2200 calories a day and still losing.  I think I may experiment with adding 100 cals or so a day for a few days and seeing what that does. 

The weight loss is showing but the best thing is that I have so much more energy now.  I would be worried about the quick weight loss if I didn't feel so good lol

I suppose that's a good result really after the meals out at the weekend.  I'm sure it'll be better next week!

I can see it's been rough for you.  I sympathise a great deal.  But now it's time to look forward - you can't change the past, only the future. 

You've taken one huge step, you've asked the good folks of CC to help.  What else are you going to do today to help yourself?  How about drinking two extra glasses of water?  A five minute walk around the living room?  Sounds stupid, but every little helps.  Start slowly. 

You have to start looking after yourself.  You deserve to be taken care of and you are the best person to do that.  You *are* worth it!

I'm going to message you my MSN details, hopefully we can get together and chat online sometime - we can help each other through this!

Sounds like I need to get myself one of these games!  I dislike formal exercise (yes, I know how good it is for me) but something like one of these games sounds like fun.  What does everyone recommend?  We have a Wii and a Playstation 3 set up at the moment.

Well, I had my big calorie day yesterday - breakfast out (I ordered a kiddies breakfast but it still clocked up as over 600 calories - can you believe it?), then a small salad at home for lunch, then a meal at my favourite French restaurant last night.  Salmon pate with wholegrain toast, poulet a la creme (chicken in white wine and cream sauce) with lots of beautifully cooked vegetables and to finish a blackcurrant pavlova.  Topped off with a glass of red wine. 

I don't think I am physically capable of eating today after that lot lol.  Psychologically I feel better today, knowing I can do that once in a while and not have it affect my weight loss too much is great.  I'm so thirsty today though - must be all the salt I ate yesterday!

Posting a loss of 2.5 pounds today, even after a weekend away!  So pleased that all the walking I did helped.

This weekend might not be so great though, I have three meals out planned for various leaving parties and birthdays.  Rest assured I will try to make good choices at two of them... the third is at my favourite French restaurant and I reserve the right to splurge madly with lots of yummy calories lol
