Yes I definitely do see the red flags and I'm very uncomfortable with them.

Thank you everyone for your replies. It's nice to know I'm not a crazy! This is a little overwhelming.

I don't think that he would be/is cheating on me but I still feel it's inappropriate. I am not a jealous person and it is really making me angry that these jealous feelings are rising in me.

They don't have a child together, that's why I don't see the need to be soo close. That book looks great, thanks for the recommendation.

I am not trying to make him sound like a horrible guy, he's an excellent guy, except for this little (or big) ex part... Another thing is he said is that she told him she was upset he didn't call and tell her he was dating me. He said he did what she would have wanted him to do, do it publicly (facebook), because he wouldn't have been comfortable calling her and telling her how happy he is. Oooopss, I do have another thing. I found his ex wife's profile on myspace. At one point her head was shaved. He told me I would look good with short hair, in a "side buzz". Now my hair is really long and I always get compliments. I would never cut my hair that short.

I love him, he's really smart, he's mature and usually understanding (except for this ex thing!).

don't eat very much during the day, becuase it won't take as much alcohol to get u drunk if u have an empty stomach.

If I don't have anything in my stomach I will throw up very quickly.  Also it's not very healthy to drink alcohol on an empty stomach.

We do treat fridays here at my work.  At firt I participated by bringing treats when it was my turn but then I wasn't eating any of the food because it's hard to count those calories.  I just asked that I be removed from the participation soI don't have to bring anything and have even more of an excuse to not eat.  You'll get over other people making comments.  When people are passing treats around like the other day it was cookies, I have a coworker that teases me and says, Caryn doesnt' want any!  She doesn't mean any harm, I think they just have fun with it.  People should understand.

It makes me very sad when one of my little brothers or sisters can eat an entire one for breakfast and they haven't even hit puberty yet.

Just wanting to hear different opinions... What does everyone here think of Alli? Has anyone tried it?

thanks

-Allison

I took it for a very short time, about a week.

When I tired it I was not eating healthy and because of that was having constipation problems.

I thought that the Ali would help prevent constipation because it makes your stool more liquid e because of the fat.

I still got constipated and had to take laxatives.  When I could finally relieve myself It was so disgusting, all of this fat just came pouring out (sorry for the visual).

When I was almost overweight 150 pounds 5'7 my blood pressure was too low.  I wasn't working out ever.  Some people just have lower blood pressure, and some have it from lifestyle.  My mom salts everything she eats because it gives us energy when we have low BP.  Is this a good move?

It is probably water gain with your new routine and possibly muscle gain.  The scale is not a very good indicator when you are working out and unfortunately discourages people in their new routine and they stop the healthy activity all together.  My advice would be to get a measuring tape and/or a way to measure your body fat.

I looked at a full body shot of me today. I'm a ball on toothpicks. Thanks mom, thanks dad, thanks for the most horrendous genetics. Not only did my sister get the good hair, she got the small waist and saddle bags. I would kill for saddle bags if I could trade my gut. I got the height and killer legs so take that (*bitter*)

That's EXACTLY what I am built like!  I sometimes get upset thinking, I do not have a female shape!  But then I quite like my killer legs.

When you enter an activity into the log on this site it subtracts your BMR from the number of calories burned to generate a accurate total.  If you are keeping track elsewhere be sure to do the math or you will be "double dipping"

You need organic or natural peanut butter!  It tastes better and is better for you.  The only downfall is it seems to get harder to spread.  You know what I love?  Almond butter.  I recently bought it for the first time.  When I took it out of the fridge and discovered that it was still very soft and very easy to spread I was so happy!

I've been having a problem with candy lately.  I've decided I am going to let myself have 2 sweet snacks that are somewhat healthy.  In the morning after breakfast I have a craving so I am going to have my all natural chocolate chip cookies that have healthy fats.  In the evenings I also get cravings so I am going to start have rye crisp bread with a tablespoon of almond butter and natural honey drizzled on top.

What kind of warm-up are you doing, just out of curiousity?  And what kind of abs and cardio routines are you doing?

If I were you I would cut back on the individual exercises per muscle group and double up on the muscle groups themselves.  Just do the muscles groups you want more definition/toning in twice a week instead of once.

Example:

Mon- WL Chest and Arms

Tue- WL Legs and thighs

Wed- WL Back (its good to focus on a back only day, as it is a core muscle)

Thr- WL Chest and Arms

Fri- WL Legs and thighs

And include your normal warm-up, abs and cardio routines.

Just a thought though, as long as you have more then a days rest between groups you should be ok but don't exercise a group more than 2 times a week.

Looks like a good routine as well :)  I'm excited to try it out this week.

It really depends on her age and if she can live with or without this man.

I am from Utah (mormonville) and my parents are divorced.  I dated my first husband in highschool and got married to him after he served an LDS mission (I was 19 he was 22).  The entire time his parents didn't like me.  "My parents got a divorce therefore my risk for divorce will be higher" "I am immodest because I wear sleeveless shirts (no kidding!)" "I am not musical enough".  I thought he stuck with me because he loved me.  He really was just rebelling and confused infatuation with love.  Marriage is hard and when he went to his parents to complain about me they totally supported him.  He ended up wasting 3.5 years of my life in that marriage.

Original Post by meredithmc:

I have been on a 1500 calorie/day regime for a week and I am very hungry very often! I exercise only a little but I am still really hungry and I am sure that if I went down to only 1200 I wouldn't function very well.

I remember when I was younger that I could do the 1200 calorie/day diet, but now the thought of it seems impossible. I am 39 and only want to lose about 3 kilos, but the calorie counter says that I need to go to 1200/day to do this effectively (i.e. quickly). Any suggestions?

I find that 1200 is way too low for me.  I am 5'7, 138 and 23 female.  I can lose on 1500-1700 calories.  I work out Mon - Friday (unless I am sick).  1500-1700 calories can still leave me hungry if I'm not eating high fiber foods.  Since changing my lifestyle and comitting myself to eating healthy foods I have gone from eating 10-20 grams of fiber to 30-45 grams and feel great.  Eating foods rich in fiber really keeps the hunger away!

Frustrated?  No..... I'd have thought it would be pretty entertaining Smile  Wisdom comes from experience and experience comes from making mistakes.... On the other hand stupidity is to keep making the same mistakes over and over.

Make sure your lunch includes freshly baked crusty bread from now on!
