Health & Support Fasting, doctor's orders Nov 13 2009

I just had abdominal surgery last Friday and had to fast for 2 days before and the entire day of including afterwards, it didn't hurt me- I got moody and hungry but I did drink broth and clear juices, even a little green jello made its way in, but I actually felt great after- and still a week later feel great- I didn't even gain back the couple of pounds that I lost from it- hell it may have broken through the stuck spot on the scale. My husband fasted for 3 days for a stomach issue pretty recently and has faired well too, if the doctor advised it and you drink enough to feel full- or at least not empty, it may help, if it gets to be too much then stop and go bland with the food. I am no doctor but have been advised to do it and it isn't terrible. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!

I have been counting and exercising and haven't lost an ounce in weeks- so my theory at this point is why bother? Eating the 1200 calories and walking and swimming and chasing 3 kids works as well as appetite suppressants and ice cream sundaes. Congratulations to those of you that are losing and getting nearer to your goals.

I had a ton of success with it a few years ago 70+ lost in 6 months and I had kept it off for years. I am currently trying it again but had to get it online which is pricey and a little nerve racking.. thanks- I will try the clinic here near me.

we have been using the Wii fit it is so fun and I am actually sore after doing about 30 minutes a day. I have 3 kids who are 10, 7, and 17months, so I don't exactly have time to get out of my house to do much. A few years back I worked at a curves- best job ever! I wish I could go back there but with lack of a sitter and an unpredictable work schedule of my other half we are just struggling here finding different ways to deal- I have exercise tapes to do too- and oddly enough the Richard Simmons one happens to be my favorite- I think I dig the cheesy factor.

at my heaviest I was 220. my smallest I got down to 129 and looked a little sick- I will be happy to come close to that though- my suggested weight is 123- in reality- with having put this body through 3 kids and yoyo diets I am grateful to be doing this right with similar folks and the support I don't think I had before.

I took phentermine for about 6 months and lost about 100 pounds in that time- I kept it off until 5 years later when I got pregnant- I tried to use it again but it is damn near impossible to get and I am not sure if I got the real deal- this time is hasn't done anything for me.

is it really tossing it away if it works and you feel good about it? I don't drink and I don't smoke- and so the money that would have been spent on those vices has gone towards a flatter tummy- sorry if you don't think this stuff works- have you tried it? or are you just generally negative on having a little help?

no where in the ads does it say that this thing will burn your fat- it does say with proper diet and exercise it will help tone you- no one is selling miracles.

I have been using one for about a year and it absolutely works. and the more weight I lose the more results I can see- instead of being left with the saggy empty skin on my belly it is relatively firm- and you increase the strength of the contractions- it isn't painful and it is as effective a sit ups- just without the back and neck strain.

I had pain in my leg and wrote it off as I was doing too much- eventually I couldn't put any weight on it and wound up with a blood clot the length of my leg- be careful with pain.
