I think you are putting alot of pressure on yourself to lose 80 lbs in 70 days.  Have you been sticking to a certain amount of calories? Is there a certain reason you have to be down 80 lbs by your b-day?

I must be doing pretty good then cuz my cheat meals are only about 700 calories. I just conserve during the day and then allow a little more a dinner. I have been watching calories since Jan 5th, I started at 225 and this morning i weighed in at 197. I only consume 1550 a day.

I also agree with igloogal, you are weighing in too many times a week. I would also change the day you weigh in. If you tend to only cheat on saturday and sunday then weigh in on saturday morning. I usually will have a more calorie dinner on sunday evening so i weigh in on sunday morning, by allowing myself that meal i tend to not cheat as much.

If you have alot of weight to lose you will lose more in the beginning. I started on Jan 5th and the first 2 months i averaged 10 lbs a month. This last month is going to average about 7 lbs. I started at 225 and am now 199(yay).

You should be getting around 1400 calories a day, but go to tools and figure out what it suggest. Any thing under 1200 calories and your body will just hold onto whatever your putting in to it..

I was doing exactly what cc is saying to do. I found a website that figured out my calories for me and stayed under 1500 a day. But now its down to about 1 lb a week.  I don't really get a whole lot of exercise in but i am trying to put it in now....

I have found that almost anywhere you go to eat they always have grilled chicken breast and veges. If you don't want them to know your watching your calories then order off the kids menu and tell them your not hungry.

I am not going to tell you that your deficit is in starvation mode. I also have mine set at light but i am up and down all day taking care of 2 little girls and then when i go home at night i am taking care of my house and laundry and my 4 kids. I have also been adding 30 minutes on the treadmill 3 to 4 days a week. I started at 225 and am now down to 201. At first i was losing 2-3.5 a week and now its down to 1 to 1.5. i stay under 1500 calories a day and everybody says i am doing the right thing so i guess we should jus keep shaving it off 1 by 1. I am not hungry at all and i think as long as it is coming off i should be happy but sometimes it is frustrating....

I just started this site 3 days ago too. You should definately use the tools guide to see how many calories to take in. This does work, i have been counting calories since jan 5th and am down 24lbs. Still have a long way to go so i could use friends to talk to also.

I would like to join this group if its not to late. I am 5'1 and now weigh 201, I started counting calories on Jan 5 and have lost 24 lbs. I still have alot to lose and could really use the support of a group. My first goal is to get down to about 150 lbs. I will decide then if i want to lose more or maintain but that 51 lbs to lose. I just started cc a few days ago so i am new to this site.

Ok so ihave tried every diet under the sun weight watchers, jenny craig, carb diets none have worked so far. Now about eating whatever you want i think as long as you do it in moderation and stay under your daily clories it is possible. I stay under 1500 calories a day and eat the same as my family, if i make them hamburger helper i eat that and just measure out the serving size and have a vege with it.

It says about 1850 but that seems to be alot of calories to especially since i am not hungry at 1500 calories. How do i add people as friends on this site, i would like to add you but don't know how.

I weigh myself on a dialy basis but only Sunday morning way in gets logged in my journal. I weigh first thing in the morning that way there is no water weight form drinking and eating. It does fluctuate a little but as long as its not alot i don't freak out.

My biggest problem if figuring out what amount of calories works for me. I started out on 1500 calories at a weight of 225, I am down to 201 but it is slowly creeping down now about 1 lb a week. Are my calories to low or do i need to go higher. I am confused.....
