i've always noticed that diet sodas make me SUPER hungry and because of that i manage to avoid them most of the time. i do enjoy a diet dr pepper when i'm craving something sweet but i have to make sure i have some healthy snacks to follow it up to keep my stomach from growling.

I have very personal experience with this!!! i did it once for my sister's wedding a couple years ago and i'm doing it again for my friend's wedding in may. my suggestion is to buy it at your current size!!! instead of having the bridal shop alter the dress take it somewhere local. it's WAY cheaper and faster than having david's bridal do it AND usually at the privately owned dress shops they have a flat rate for formal dress alterations so either size should be the same price. that way also you could even wait until the week before the wedding becuase they don't have to have it sent out. when i did it for my sister's wedding it cost about $20 and they did it in one day. in your situation you should check with your local shops a few weeks before to find out the cost and proccessing times.

i was a senior in high school. from a boy i had a crush on:

boy- "outta the way, big girl!"
my friend- "don't call her big!"
boy- "what? she's the biggest girl in the school"
my friend- "so!"

i was the biggest girl in school in a private school of about 40 students. i was 5'6 and 150, not fat. but everyone else was skinny.

sjocorey: you are welcome!

and thanks to everyone that added me as a friend! we're all here for eachother.

amie: i'm calorie counting as well as working out 30-60 minutes a day 5-6x a week. i have a stationary bike at home that i do the programmed routines on as well as yoga routines i find on youtube.  plus i'm drinking a lot of water because it's supposed to increase metabolism and keep the body from retaining water.

hello all!

my name is rachael

height 5'6

starting weight  - 200

current weight - 197.5

goal weight - 140-150

anyone on here can add me as a friend, too! i really enjoy talking with people with similar age and weight goals.

sjocorey: i, personally, am trying to only weight myself once a week to get a better idea of my weight. a couple days ago i weighed myself after my workout, then ate a small dinner, drank only water and weighed myself again and had gained 4 pounds within about 2 hours. that startled me into my once-a-week routine. also, i've decided to take my measurements every two weeks because that's more what i'm going for than pounds - i want to be slimmer! i understand what is like to be dispirited by numbers. so, my encouragement is to keep on truckin because the longer you stay in the routine the better you'll do in the long run.

also, i like sinev's idea with green tea. it sounds thereputic, i'm totally going to do that.

i had some friends that used "nivea's good-bye cellulite" cream and it really worked for them. it doesn't get rid of the cellulite but DRAMATICALLY reduces the appearance. i think i'm going to pick some up for myself.

i don't know about my sternum but i do have a wide ribcage. and like azirra even at my smallest i would average a size large shirt. my sisters, on the other hand, both have very very small bone structures. but we're ony 1/4 norwegian so i must have inherited the bulk of the viking genes. also, one of my cousins has a wide rib cage as well.

as a couple people before me have said, feeling guilty does not help anything. you can choose to not feel guilty about it and just continue with your calorie counting routine. cheating every now and then can actually help you feel better, knowing that you're in control. as long as you're on the right track most of the time, it will only affect you as much as you let it. you are who you choose to be!

mostly i want to feel better about myself. i want my husband to be more proud of me. i want to look good in a bikini. i want to go out with friends without being the "fat friend." i want clothes shopping to be more fun. plus i want the accomplishment of loosing the weight i've gained over the last four years.

my saturday weigh-in:

*SW: 200lb

*CW: 199lb

*GW: 145 lb

so since tuesday i've only lost one pound, which is a little unfortunate because i was shooting for two... on the bright side, i'm under 200 finally! i was stuck there for so long.

i like to see how long i can hold my feet out in front of me when sitting at my desk. i also keep little 5 lb weights in my cubicle and do little arm excersizes thoughout the day. i also drink A LOT of water and like k-loo take frequent little walks to the restroom. keggles are fun too :)
i'm also considering buying a pedal exerciser to keep under my desk while i'm working i've seen them on amazon for about $30 with shipping

Am thinking of trying it for the 5 lbs that just will NOT COME OFF! (argh)

i did the MC a couple years ago. i lost the 5lbs but when i started eating again i had severe diarrhea and dehydration for a couple days, gaining the 5lb back quickly. reading the other posts doesn't seem like it's typical but it's what happened to me and i'll never do it again.
