Text within this quote has been previously moderated and therefore cannot be displayed. your posts do have a trend of carrying unhealthy eating habits. if you didn't realize your journal entries (most of which promote starvation diets) were public, why do they contain questions such as "will this make me lose weight?" or "is this unhealthy?" who are you asking?! rhetorical question?! of course eating 400-600 calories a day is unhealthy. myself and many others in this forum have nearly died from similar amounts, and i would hope those kids of posts would get someone kicked off of this website. perhaps gaining more gradually on slightly lower calories (3500 maybe?) will make maintenance more sustainable. this way you could be gaining maybe a pound a week but keeping it on. a sudden drop in calories for us gainers usually means dropping weight pretty quickly, even if our maintenance calories are high. edit: that being said, if you are significantly and dangerously underweight i would not recommend prolonging the amount of time at a low bmi. i don't know your stats so i can't say. but good luck! |

my mom's foreign and i used to be "that kid" with the weird lunch box at school. i could understand if kids didn't recognize dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) or artichokes, but RICE?! come on. probably the single most popular food on the planet and yet nobody had tried it. when in asia (before i stopped eating meat) i used to love baby octopus tentacles. i also used to eat chicken hearts. when i look back on this it's pretty weird! |

read the label... special k cereal's are formulated differently in canada, the us, and the uk. for example, the flavours i like and buy in canada have trace amounts of dairy products in the us. |

i generally use any combination of almond or soy milk, banana, and any kind of nut butter. you can also add a sweetener like agave, and flax seed or protein powder (like vega or sun warrior), but these are a little more pricey. some people don't recommend it because of the saturated fat (even though our bodies require a certain amount of saturated fats to function!), but coconut milk can also be added and i think it's delicious. |

there's a brand called yosoy found in grocery stores which makes fun flavoured soy cream cheeses but don't buy them. they taste really fake/terrible. tofutti is probably the best, but i would prefer hummus or garlic margarine anyday. |

The original post has been modified and can therefore no longer be viewed. that's obviously because this is an anorexic caloric amount and your metabolism has slowed down to compensate. when i went from 300 to 1500 overnight i lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks because my metabolism revved up, now i have to eat 2500-3000 to gain anything at all. quadruple your intake unless you want to keep your life in serious jeopardy. this is a funny thread for me. my mom is foreign so i never had bologne, grilled cheese, or mac in my entire life. i had my first pb&j last year! - falafel. - crepes w/ tons of fruit, usually strawberries and kiwis. - nutella & ice cream. - apfel kuchen or rhubarb kuchen w/ cinnamon & sugar. - tuna & hummus sandwiches. |

b: my roommate made raw cocoa brownies and i ate THREE w/ some strawberries. a gigantic americano w/ almond milk was also enjoyed. l: avocado on whole grain toast w/ lemon pepper, some olives & pickles alongside. blood orange juice. was not hungry from breakfast but still managed 700+ calories. s: blueberry crisp clif bar & some jellybeans. d: thin crust veggie pizza w/ artichokes, roasted red peppers, spinach, onions, garlic, etc. also a glass of wine. s: lemon sorbet w/ raspberries. |
