Something else I watch for on food labels, high fructose corn syrup. Two suprising places I found it were in yogurt and bread. I used to eat Healthy Choice Hearty 7 grain bread, because it's 80 cals a slice. BUT, it lacks in good nutrients like protein, and contains high fructose corn syrup. We've switched to Brownberry's Double Protein bread. It has 30 more cals, not that much, plus 6g protein and 3g fiber per slice. Stopped buying yoplait and buy the organic yogurts instead. I miss all the different flavors of yoplait, but not the added corn syrup. |

START Nov 12-14:203 3lbs off in one week! That's huge for me, and I'm at the 200 mark. Next week, I could say I weigh 100 and something Measurments: unchanged since last challenge Motivations, My health, my parents have weight related issues and I DO NOT want to go there. I currently take BP meds and would really like to get rid of them. My next biggest motivators are my kids. I have two very active, young boys and I want to keep up with them! My 7yr old loves to run and I see long distance running in his future, I would love to be able to run with him. Thirdly, wearing fashionable clothing that looks good on me. I would really like to look good and feel good in my clothing. |

Week 1. Sept 10-12: 209.5 lbs A good loss for the last week, didn't reach my goal of breaking out of the 200's, but that's what S&L IV is all about!! There hasn't been noticable change in measurements, maybe half inch around my hips....I'll just keep on trying. |

Dance, Dance,Dance..... My 4yr old and I broke out the dancing shoes today. Totally fun, he decided to limbo dance under my legs as I did wide leg squats. We jammed to Gonna Make you Sweat (C and C music factory, remember them?), which led to Pump up the Jam (lots of squats and lunges thrown in there). "Get your booty on the floor, make my day" |

Week 1. Sept 10-12: 209.5 lbs Down 1.5! And that's with relatives visiting this week. Exercise has saved me. I've been diligent about the workouts, and it has really helped with the eating that has been "off the plan". |

Roar 1: I haven't given up! I found CC last March, my weight loss has been slow. BUT, I'm still at it, and still losing. I weigh 18+ lbs less than I did when I started. Roar 2: I include fruits and vegetables with every meal, and my kids eat them too! Roar 3: Late night eating has nearly disappeared. I spread my calories over the day into 6 "meals". This has really helped me stay even, I never find myself "starving", and I just haven't felt the need to sit and eat in front of the tv at night. |

This weeks challenge: I had never tried or eaten Fage, greek style yogurt, before I found CC. I love this yogurt because of its high protein. It's also a great substitute for cream on pasta dishes. (Using the plain Fage 0%). Just google it and you will find some great pasta dishes. The flavored Fage are great for breakfast, and give you a good boost of protein. |

Week 1. Sept 10-12: 209.5 lbs I'm very happy to see the scale still heading downward. I've started feeling better the last 4 days or so, still coughing but eating normally and I worked out for 30 mins yesterday. Had to stop and cough a lot, but got through it. |

One of my favorite recipes, high in both fiber and protein, I found here on CC. It is for Tuna and Garbonzo bean salad. I substitute Fage (greek yogurt) for the plain yogurt. That increases the protein even more. This is dish is higher in calories at 550 per serving, but it does fill you up! Protein 39g and Fiber 20g. |
