Weight is a touchy subject. My hubby hates when I talk about it. So I bottle it all up and express myself on here. It works for me. I wish I could talk to him about it, but when I do I find myself being poisonous because suddenly he will start worrying about calories and junk like that.

Pick your battles, but don't get walked over either. Good luck!

I completely understand. And just to boost your confidence, I have always read that those last 10 pounds are the hardest! So outta all the people who have been amazing and lost 100 lbs, they too dealt hardest with what we have!

I have lost about 10 lbs and have 8 more to go. Its SO HARD!! Its like, how much less can I eat and how much more can I exercise, haha.

I'm just so tired of being small, but not small enough. All of the girls that I go to the lake with are smaller than me...it sucks. I'm tired of being the big one, when I'm not big at all.....makes me so mad....

 

Maybe we could use this forum thread to encourage each other through those last 10-15 lbs! Good luck!!

So I have fallen off the wagon! Here I am back again tho! I luckily haven't messed up too bad, because my predicted goal date is still in reach according to caloriecount.

So I was down to 128, but  went on vacation that sent me to 135.

The last week I've been doing moderate recovery from it!

So now I'm 133.

8 pounds to go till Christmas!

Just thought I'd update:

I went to the mall and was AMAZED!

I tried on shorts at Abercrombie and fit into size 2's!

So excited! I also fit into 3's at Hollister! So happy! I guess I'm an unofficial 2 all ready.

I almost feel silly but........

4 years ago my goal for Christmas was to be able to fit into a Hollister size 7.

Last month, I went there and tried on size 5's that fell off of me!

So I proudly bought a size 3. :) I can't believe I went from a 9 to 3!Embarassed

Okay, I'm completly monopolizing this forum?!?!!

But...I just have to post my success! It's been so AMAZING! And freeing, and fantastic and easier than it should ever be for me, and exhilarating! I'm down another 3 pounds! yay!

I am officially 130.5

5.5 lbs away from my ultimate goal!

My mini-goal is 129 and I'm so close, but so excited for the final 5.5 to be gone!

My 'diet' is to eat 1200-1400 calories a day. It's been working so far! I need to up my exercise though because I need to tone it up as well as shrinking it! lol.

So I'm 5'7 and down to 130

And my motivation is that I've spent so many years hating how I look that I finally decided to just not over eat and now that I'm getting closer to my goal weight I will find out if I have deeper issues or if the weight was really all I hated. It's just a search to find what makes me happy. Embarassed And of course I just want to be hot! lol

Okay, it's crunch time for me! I am about to start my last semester and my goal is to be at least 129 by this December.  Good luck to everyone...especially me, I will need it! But I'm set and determined! And once Dec comes and I'm 129, then my next goal is for March to be 125 because of a wedding and I wanna look hot. LOL. I'll let ya know if I can keep it up!

Sorry about being MIA. My internet got disconnected and I haven't been able to get to a library. If you guys want to keep this going I hope someone will take over! We can all meet our goals. It just depends on if we want it bad enough.

Final Stats:

Starting Weight: 144 in Jan 2009

Current Weight: 134 in July 2009

Total Loss: 10 pounds

Just thought I'd update...I am officially back to my highschool weight!

I'm happy and can't wait for even more success. I reevaluated my goals and decided that 129 would be plenty for me at 5'7. So I'm 5-6 pounds away from my goal and am ready to be there! ]

When I found this challenge I was

135

and it's been about a week and I'm now

134

Maybe it's just you and me, but in my mind everyone MUST feel this way. My hubby is always yelling at me not to suck in my tummy when he touches me, but I can't help it! It's like a reflex! lol.

We need to start loving ourselves(imperfections and all!) or else how can we let someone else love us?

Good luck on the self esteem issues...I don't know how to fix them..but you're definitely NOT alone in how you feel.

Sure, why not?! I have set a goal for myself to be between 118-135. Right now I'm at 135 and want to see what my body looks like at the lower end of my scale. So 119 in 9 weeks! Let's do this. It is a seriously aggressive goal and we are all going to be cranky and frustrated and totally HOT by the time we end! I feel so serious about this and I want to see what my body can look like if I just practice control!

So what's the plan? Should we weigh in weekly? Set exercise and caloric intake goals? You name it, I'll try my best to stick with it! Let's do this!!

Start Weight: 144 (Jan.2009)

Last Week: 134.8

Today: 135.4

Difference: +.6

Total Loss: -8.6 lbs

So I'm up this week, but I will definitely be losing weight this coming week! I can feel it. My mindset is in a really good place and I know I'm gonna see 132 by next weigh in(that's my goal at least!).

I'm finally only 5 pounds away from my goal!

I started at 5'7" and weighing 144 pounds and am now down to 134!

My goal is 129 (secretly want 125 but don't think it's maintainable)

Weekly Loss: 1.5 pounds

Total Weight Loss: 9.2 pounds!!

 

Yay!! Kiss  I'm so excited! I'm 5 pounds away from being at my goal!!

This week was amazing!! My sister got me a spa certificate and I got pampered all week and a new hair cut. :) 

My personal challenge for this week is to drink more water. Anyone have certain minichallenges like that to share??

Wow..that was pitiful. lol. At least I didn't gain this week tho! I'm pretty glad to be keeping my weight in the mid 130's.  I really really wanna break to the 120's tho!! I think when I do I will finally get the tattoo I've been dreaming of. Two teal bows on each side of my hips. lol.

First of all, love the post. I often feel fat with a bmi of 21 and can completely relate to how this post should be a better example of self love.

Second, as for the comment about overweight people living longer...I really wouldn't doubt it! Think about it..they are getting all their daily nutrients in for sure, how can you not eat everything when you eat that much? As for me, a 'thin' person I will probably die first because I'm too thick sculled to eat all my daily intake at a risk of having a fat butt... for real?? Let's not just beat each other down...we do a good enough job of that on ourselves.

 

As for the OP she obviously just wanted to share how loving YOU is much more important than envying others...

 

As for me, I will continue my efforts in accepting myself.
