Well Im on weight watchers so Its difficult to tell the calorie total but if you know anything about it then I eat 24 daily points and eat all of my flex points for the week. I hope this helps Example Meals Bf: 1 cup oatmeal with splenda and cinnamon 1 banana Snack: fruit or chips and salsa sometimes a slice of cheese Lunch: Turkey sandwhich : Healthy light bread, light mayo, ff turkey mean Salad with light dressing or miso soup Dinner: Baked chicken two veggies and a starch

My dad called me fat my whole life and I was and he was too and the things he said did not change anything. It was not untill he started loosing the weight that I realized that I could do it too(so examples are important). You can do two things with what your dad said..you can A) take it personally or B.) realize that the reason why he is lashing out might be because he has some issues of his own. For give me for my language but the best advice some one gave me was " When other treat you badly its becuase they have some busniess they need to take care of that might not involve you. Walk away and remember that its their **** and not yours to worry about". Im sorry that hurt you hun..It seems like you are still school age and it was an inappropriate thing for him to say but take the oppertunity to grow and realizing that every one has problems that they deal with in diffrent ways and unfortunately some choose to hurt others to deal with them ..even your dad. Take the advice of some of the others and try to talk to him and let him know how he is hurting you ( with good composure and calmly) and things should be better. Good luck. |

The chocolate Active Lifestyle bars are yummy! They are about 140 calories and full of fiber and little bits of chocolate. I feel like I am eating a chocolate bar every time I munch on one of those. |

You are right. Thats why I want to know what activity level I should put my self at to figure out my calories. Im eating 1700 calories a day.. I dont know if that is to much or not... |

I have the Polar M32. It is adjusted to my wt,ht,age...My husband's is fancy I will try his out for a day and see if the reading is any diffrent. Thanks I didnt think about that. As far as my intesity...well I try to sustain around 154 bpm and reach my max at 165 bpm toward the middle of the exercise ..for cardio any way.. Now during strength training my heart rate can get as low as 75 and as high as 145 it depends on what I am doing. |

P.S. I change my routiene around every month by adding 5-10 lb weight to my strength training allso I do HIIT for my cardio. |

I know exactly what you mean! Im scared because I have lost a good amount of weight and I dont want it back because I cant control my food impulses. What some dont realize and many do is that food really is an addiction. I want to start one of those 12 step groups for over eaters. I have had the same feelings about anorexia but then I try to remind my self that is disabling just as much as my food addiction is... We need to try to come to a happy medium. I realized that I was taking advantage of low calorie foods and eating when I wasn't hungry just because I could. This led me to this week eating high calorie foods even when im not hungry. Its a bad...bad cycle. I think you are doing good. I also think since you recognize the problem you should be able to solve it efficiently. Don't be too hard on yourself. |

eeeewwww. Im sorry I just cant help but say eeeww. I have tried it all and a friend of mine says I have a texture deficiency. I like the taste but the texture is horrible. Im glad to see you found something you can enjoy. |

I agree with tortoise... Don't let what other people tell you bother you so much! The great thing about this sight is that we can all express our opinion and support on each others issues. Not a single thing that is said on these message boards are set in stone and we never know who really does have the experience to give useable advice or who is just lying ( one of the reasons why I don't like Internet socializing); you have to use your judgement. Just to back you up on that 4lb gain. A couple of weeks ago I gained 5 lbs of water weight from bumping my lifting weights 10-15 lbs. If I didn't gain I would have been scared. I did this on a Monday and by Saturday I was down 6lbs. ;P If you have a ED the worst thing to do is get on the scale often. You realy need to see a trained professional to be able to understand better what you are going through. |

I think the water weight is your body trying to recover. It is probally good you took a break for a day. I find after my two day break on the weekend my weight is down on monday. ;) Good luck. Every time I change my routiene..I gain at least 2 lbs in water weight. It will go down but I think you should add more calories to your diet to make sure your body has enough to burn. An extra 100-150 good carb calories wolnt hurt. |

You should see a Dr. about this and let him know how you are feeling. I think a nutritionalist would help you. A nutritionalist should be able to let you know how to maintain your HEALTHY weight and eat right. Dont give up eating ice cream. If you give up eating all the things you like then when you do eat just a little bit your body will go into shock and retain water and possibly some weight (not that you need to worry about weight). You need to keep in mind that you are beautiful and you eyes are the only critical eyes on you not any one else. If you think that some one else is looking at you as bloated then your mind is deceving you! Hang in there and try to come to the realization that the problem is not your weight but how you view your self. Besides if you stress yourself out you can cause bloating. Keep eating that yummy ice cream! Oh yea and another good thing to remeber...for each junk food you eat drink a big glass of water with it. It will help keep that water weight down. |

Ok, a bike ride it is then. I will definately give that a try . Last time I rode a bike it brought my heart rate up pretty well so I think I can maintain calorie loss at least..doing that.It hurts so much more at night time I couldnt even walk to the bathroom a few minutes ago....I hope it goes away soon. |

Ha,ha,ha...I guess not ..I did water aerobics yesterday that was fun but I didnt feel like I realy burned any calories..lol Thanks for the advice and support peeps...I realy appreciate it . It makes me feel better that Im not the only one and I know what to expect. |

I have to agree. After a long talk with my husband he felt like I just wasnt consuming enough. He notices that I eat under my portion sizes just to satisfy weight watchers. I dont want my body to starve and potentally stop my weight loss. I will stick to CC. I will use weight watchers as a diet to help get me back in the game if im off track and then come back to CC. Thanks every one for your help! |

My husband has threatned to throw the scale away and never ever allow another one in the house again..lol. I can accept a little gain on the scale but what I cant accept is the little snugness in my cloths it just feels nasty...I dont ever ever ever want to go back to the way I was.. |

I usually do a snack after I work out. Yougart and some fiber one ceral along with a boiled egg. Protien shake and creatine was recomended to me for better recovery and muscle hydration. |

Im glad that I got to read that I needed a reality check. I hurt my ankle a little while ago. Yesterday I chose to get on the treadmil because I thought I was healed up enough and it wasnt hurting when i walked around and now it hurts worse. I LOVE Love LOVE to run so this is a big hamper on my joy but like you said if I dont sit it out then the injury will get worse and it will extend down time. A HUGE THANK YOU ;) |

It couldn't have been put any better eponal ! I started exercising 5 months ago, every day for the exception of one week I have gone to the gym and exercised for two hours in the morning. The first month was crazy I gained four pounds then the next month I lost 8. When you exercise your muscles actually tear. During recovery time your muscle's will heal themselves and that's how they get bigger ;). The water retention is actually water and healing fluids ( this could be really heavy up to 10lbs !!!! depending on how much damage you did )from the tearing of the muscles and the muscles trying to heal. If anything on our outterbody is injured it swells up with healing fluid well its the same for the inner body. Second DRINK DRINK DRINK for every 30 this is easier said than done but it is important that for every 30 minutes of exercise you do a day you ADD at least an extra 8 oz to your daily water intake. In order to loose water weight you must add some first ;). Your are doing great! Dont quit exercising it has so many benefits other than losing weight. I hope your belly dancing class goes well it sounds like loads of fun(..If I loose more of my belly I might consider going to one too.) |
