chrissy i am new here and would love to add you as a friend but haven't found out how to do so yet.   if you like to add me that would be great and perhaps we can support eachother.  honestly, i am really proud of you, it is no secret how much courage it takes to battle with an eating disorder and the last thing you need to someone jumping on you, anyway we won't go there, those types of people are truly a waste of your (our) energy.  anyway my friend, i would love to keep in touch and carry on, this is for YOU and whatever you need and whatever it takes for you don't let ANYONE distract you from it....you deserve it and are entitled!

hey chrissy thank you so much.  that is exactly what i was looking for, I tend to love meat and everything fatty so in watching the graph i was concerned and wanted to make sure my that is wasn't only my calories i needed to watch.  i appreciate your response i was watching allllllllll day yesterday and not one so i really appreciate you taking the time to fill me in!!! over and out!

Hi, thanks for your response.  I am trying to loose weight.  with the calculation i should be eating 1,500 and finding it very manageable with planning and discipline.  I was in the hospital 9 months after my husband abused me, unfortunately I am in costa rica and i got staph infection in my bones after the surgery (osteomyelitis), very fortunate to be alive, in fact the dr.;s can't believe it..  Soooo. i had a catheter to my heart with a machine attached pumping harsh drugs 24 hours a day for 7 months, never one break from the medication and literally bed ridden for 9 months, thus all the drugs, being in bed, fighting the infection along with a whole gammot of other things i have been fighting for a year now just to stay out of the hospital.  Now I am stronger and have strength to function normally and exercise.  I had to start with 5 minutes a day, any more than that and i would collapse.  I am now walking an hour and ready to do a little more rigorous exercise.  I am grateful, excited and strong for my continued journey! and am sooo thankful i found this website.  I am in costa rica and 3rd world systems certainly can't provide what our 1st world countries do.  again, thank you!!

chrissy, i have just read some of the posts and responses.  I am with you girl, I found your questions quite logical, sometimes everything isn't black and white and it can be confusing when your emotions are entangled in your every day life.  As for those rude rude people I can only say that perhaps you can send them love because anyone who jumps on someone who is reaching out is clearly in their own pain.  Not excusing their behavior but it must be one unhappy, miserable person who chooses condemnation before compassion.  Carry on girl!  and don't let them for one minute affect what you feel you need to do or the support you need.  it is really often very hard to expose yourself in a public place and reach out for help...just remember You are the most important person in your world....they...are merely passers by that you can choose to acknowledge or not....i'd say acknowledge those who are more in line with your values!

ha ha, actually it is a full sized tramp.  i bought it for my son and we jump on it alot, him more than me but not for long!

Hi, I just joined yesterday and saw a request for prayers please, i thought perhaps you were away from your son for Easter and now through reading bits and pieces I have learned you are away from him on this mortal earth.  I was not expecting that and am sitting here with the desire to run and ring your doorbell and hug you but I am in costa rica but the spirit of God knows no limits nor does the spirit and connection of you and your son although not physically together.  I am sure you have heard every type of condolence possible by so many of us as we are at a  loss for the depth of words to express what i'm sure everyone is feeling for you.  My mother died in my arms, on my birthday and was buried on my sisters  birthday.  I can't help but believe that these passings of special people in our lives have very significant meanings.  I am feeling with you and praying for you.

ok, do you like alot of flavor???  chick peas...you can do tonnes with them.. you can make falafels really easily.  or a delicious chick pea dip for vegetables or crackers.  chick pea dip:

put the chick peas in the blender garlic, 1tsp oil, some red peppers and a pinch of salt and each with crackers or veggies.

avocadoes:  make a guacamole dip.  1 avocadoe, 1 tomatoe, garlic, pinch of salt and eat cold with hot rice or again with crackers or veggies.

i like to keep these quick, healthy tasty treats ready in the fridge so i don't get in a position where i have to cook when i am hungry.  i can have a snack and then cook.

also some air popped popcorn is fast and easy and not high in calories or fat.

or take some chicken strips and throw them in the oven with a ginger sauce if you want the recipe for that just let me know.

good morning, i by no means am an expert but have done extensive research in the past 20 years.  Have you tried changing your exercise routine and confusing and challenging the muscle?  Or at times we need to get our inner organs functiong more efficiently and sometimes yoga and tai chi can make incredible differences and another thing that honestly really helps is "acceptance".  Non acceptances of oneself shuts us down emotionally, therefore not functioning well physically no matter what we do.  Our emotions are connected to our muscles, organs, everything functions hand in hand.  Be gentle with you!
