Please go to the doctor right away.  They have payment plans.  Severe itching of the skin is a symptom of lymphoma.  Cancer.   Do not mess around with this one.

I LOST ANOTHER 1.5 LBS!  I'M SO EXCITED!  I KIND OF FELL OFF THE GYM BANDWAGON THIS WEEK, SO I WAS WORRIED, BUT I HAVE BEEN EATING REALLY WELL, SO I GUESS THAT DID THE TRICK.  10 LBS TO GO TO BE AT MY GOAL.  I AM GOING ON VACATION IN TWO WEEKS, SO HOPEFULLY THAT WON'T DERAIL MY EFFORTS TOO MUCH.

THIS IS MOTIVATION TO GET BACK TO THE GYM!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND LADIES!

I LOVE Kashi Heart to Heart cereal.  So good and not many calories, and they taste like honeynut cheerios.  I don't need to use any sweetener at all.  Love to add a banana or raspberries.

Hi Ladies,

I couldn't get to the computer on Friday for weigh in, but I lost 2.5 lbs from the week before!  I was stuck there at the same weight for a few weeks, so hopefully I'm moving past that plateau now.  On the downside, I fell and bruised my tailbone over the weekend, so my workouts aren't exactly dynamic right now.

BTW, how many calories do you all consume when you're in weight loss mode?  I'm sticking to 1600 a day, and I read that I really should be consuming around 2000.  I sit at a desk job 8 hours a day, I sleep 8 hours just about every night, I do about an hour of fairly intense cardio and am lightly active the rest of the time.  Maybe I'm not eating enough?

I would LOVE it if my husband would get a vasectomy! But he won't consider it.  Right now I'm just trying to research different BC methods and unfortunately most of them have weight gain as a side effect.

On a better note, I worked out twice today and watched every single calorie so that I can have a nice big glass of wine with dinner tonight!  Very excited about that!

Hi Ladies,

I weighed in at 159 this morning, so I gained a lb, but I am within my 2 lb fluctuation, so I'm okay with that.  I had a bone and body composition scan done at the doctor's office and my results compared to last years show a loss of 2% bodyfat, so I guess I'm headed in the right direction.  And I got off Depo, so I'm hoping that will help me drop some weight too.  Any of you out there had experience with any birth control without weight gain?

Weight Loss Jump Roping Jun 04 2009

I am too uncoordinated for jump roping, but I have a friend that was always about 20 lbs overweight, and she started doing 500 reps in the morning and 500 in the evening, and she dropped weight faster than I've ever seen anyone do it.  Then she increased to 1000 reps morning and night and got so muscular in her waist, shoulders, and arms.  Good luck!

I haven't checked in in a while.  My weight is stuck at 158 with a 2 lb fluctuation from day to day.  I am going to the doctor tomorrow and I'm thinking about changing birth control methods to help with my weight loss.  I've been on the Depo shot for about 12 years now, and I've noticed that when I have taken small breaks from it, I have lost weight.  But I have been keeping up my workouts (4 days per week) and watching my calories.  Any suggestions for breaking through this plateau?

Good morning Ladies!

Weighed in this morning and lost 3.5 lbs this week!  This confirms to me that counting every SINGLE calorie makes a huge difference!  I am so excited to start my weekend off on such a positive note, and now I won't overeat on Sat or Sun because I don't want to un-do what I just accomplished.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Friday!

I've been on Depo for more than 10 years without a break, and I don't think it's made a difference.  My doctor told me that it may make you gain 1-2 lbs a year and anything more is the cookie jar or beer keg.  When I was preparing for my wedding 5 years ago, I actually lost 10 lbs fairly easily while I was on it.  Even if it does give you more cravings, you need to stick to your calories and not give in to those cravings.

Weight Loss Help! Question about eating more to lose more May 01 2009

I, too, am confused about how many calories I should be consuming when figuring in my activity.  I am 32 years old, 5"10" and currently stuck at 157.  I'd really like to get back down to 145 where I was 5 years ago when I was strength training and doing lots of cardio.  Currently I am eating 1600 calories a day and I burn 300-350 calories 6 days a week on the readmill and do strength training 3 times a week for 30 minutes.  I have a desk job, so I am pretty inactive during the workday, and I go my workouts after work.  Is this enough calories?  I've only lost 1 lb in three weeks.

Hi!  I am fairly new to this site, and I've only been using the food log and activity log so far.  I am 5'10" and 158 lbs.  My goal is to get down to 145 with muscle tone.  I run/fast walk for 50 minutes 4-5 times a week and do a 20 minute strength training routine 3 times per week.  I am looking forward to hearing all of your ideas on weight loss for us tall gals.  I also have shorter friends who tell me I don't need to lose any weight because I can hide it better than them, and that is frustrating.  I try to eat 1600 cals a day except on days when I don't exercise.  I'm excited to hearing all of your success stories!
