breakfast: Up&Go banana shake, muesli with yoghurt, almonds & blueberries

snack: (at a cafe' on the beach with a friend...aussie summer here i come, jealous much?hah) Large cappucino

lunch: - at the movies watching Julie&Julia! LOVE - A poppyseed bagel with cream cheese & smoked salmon

snack: Fizzer lolly. Ensure

snack: (at a memorial/school catchup) 2 pieces of chicken sushi, a few potato chips, crackers & dip.

dinner: Fillet of garlic & parsley coated fish, veg crudites with a mini tub of onion & chive dip

snack: Piece of rye toast with vegemite

snack: Smartie icecream! Ensure

Breakfast: Cup of muesli with 200ml vanilla yoghurt, blueberries and walnuts. Up&Go banana shake

Snack: The latte I oh so craved, large banana

Lunch: Best lunch in a long time! Poppy seed bagel with cream cheese & smoked salmon...this was my first ever bagel! Definately won't be my last:) 250ml of iced coffee

Snack: Bowl of Special K and soy milk. Ensure

Dinner: Me and mumma are experimenting in the kitchen!:) Currently cooking is cabbage wraps with pumpkin & rice filling, they look sooo yum:) Served with veg

Snack: Vanilla & Choc icecream, Ensure.

Just maintained for the past few weeks, so upping the plan!

What I've planned for today (i'll bold what i'm adding):

B: Cup of muesli with 200ml of vanilla yoghurt and 12 almonds. Up&Go banana shake

S: Carmen's muesli bar and a large banana

L: Large roll/bagel (I usually just have rye bread sandwich) with cheese, meat and veg. Bottle of juice, Piece of chocolate.

S: Bowl of cereal with soy milk, nuts. Ensure

D: Whatever mumma makes!

S: Vanilla&choc icecream, ensure.

We'll see how it goes, hoping to gain :)

B : Muesli and yoghurt, Up&go banana shake

L : Subway 6" chicken fillet (previous feared food...god am i ever glad i eat it again!!) with cheddar cheese & salad. 2 squares of heaven/lindt chocolate :P

S : Bowl of Special K and soy milk. Ensure

D : Fillet of crumbed fish, 2 dinner rolls and steamed corn, carrot and brocc.

S : Vanilla-choc icecream. Ensure

at subway i dont just pick items from the 'less than 6grams of fat' range...i'v been having the chicken fillet quite a bit lately:) yum!

i'm also beginning to add a bit of sauce to my cooking (ie soy sauce to my noodles etc) because i can't deny it really does make it taste alot better!

Breakfast: 1/4C swiss muesli, 1/4C plus antioxidant cereal, 1/2C Special K cereal all mixed with 200ml vanilla yoghurt and lots of blueberries

Snack: Up&Go banana shake

Lunch: Subway 6" ham sub, boost juice mango smoothie!

Snack: Tuna and crackers, Ensure

Dinner: Cous cous & salmon salad

+ 2 pineapple and 2 guava vodka mixes...and might just sneak a muesli bar in the bathrooms while clubbing:P hahah

breakfast: 1/2C swiss muesli, 1/2C special K with 200ml vanilla yoghurt. Up&Go banana shake

lunch: I ate at a restaurant! take that ED:) was there for a work lunch, had the beef salad with olive tapenade, olive oil and a little mayo:) and a little bit of turkish bread for entree!

snack: bowl of Special K and soy milk (yeah i love cereal). Ensure

dinner: slightly smaller than usual due to a big lunch, will probably be either be a cheesy cous cous & veg salad or a toastie with something on the side

snack: Vanilla-choc sundae. Ensure

Liney - i know how crappy is isnack!! what even is that name i swear lol. Dissapointing, i must say :P

Had a VERY big weekend (totally didnt even sleep Friday night haha) so need to make up for some lost energy

B - Up&Go banana shake, muesli with yoghurt and blueberries

S - Cappucino, sultana-choc biscuit

L - Vegemite & Cheese sandwich, 1 HB egg, Cup of OJ

S - Will be cereal (probs weetbix) with soy milk. Ensure

D - Not sure! Me & my bestie are gonna cook something up. Perhaps chicken pasta and veg, or homemade bacon cheese & egg mcmuffins!

S - Vanilla choc sundae, ensure

Happy today:)

Breakfast: coffee, muesli with vanilla yoghurt and blueberries

Snack: Lifesaver Icypole while walking my dog along the river:) Ensure

Lunch: Big salad made with rocket & spinach, home-grown cherry tomatos, cucumer, capsicum, 1/2C ckd cous cous, boiled pumpkin & crumbled LC cheese wedges...YUM!

Snack: Will be a bowl of weetbix with soy milk. Ensure

Nighttime: Something quick and easy like a toastie (with lotsa filling!), alcohol - i have a pack of pineapple flavoured Cruisers, and Sky Blue; Peach Iced Tea flavour :):)  yuuuumm. I'll bring a protein bar clubbing too hahah.

Gotta love Saturday's

my mumma does most of the shopping but the things i regularly find myself buying are;

protein bars, icecream, vanilla yoghurt, muesli, oats, tuna, english muffins, hummus, LC cheese, ham, wraps and soup

Okay, so proud of myself for sunday night! i went to an aweeeesome music festival, then an after party afterwards (yeah was out running amuck for about 14 hrs total hahah) and at about 12am my friends decided they were hungry and there was only a Domino's Pizza around...and... i totally had a piece (or 2 :P) of my friend's greasy buttery garlic bread and loveeed it:) figured i had to make up for all the energy i lost dancing all day haha. Oh how I love the Aussie festival season.

yeah but now im major sick. BOO. so havnt had much of an appetite today but still done okay!:

B - 1 cup of oats made with 1 cup of soy milk, a hint of vanilla and blueberries

L - Toast with blueberry jam, Toast with grilled cheese. Paddlepop icecream (too soothe the throat!)

S - Nutrigrain with soy milk, ensure.

D - Pot roast...YUM. Roast beef with potato, veg and gravy!

S - Will be a smoothie of some sort, most likely a banana one:)

S - Vanilla & choc-almond icecream, Ensure

What part of Australia? I'm in WA - the best place here is Hollywood hospital in Nedlands, I was unable to go here though because my insurance didnt cover me for it and it's quite expensive...i was really lucky though because i did my IP through a public hospital and it wasn't a bad experience at all compared to what i'v heard other people have, everyone was soooo lovely to me and i made some real friends!

Yesterdays:

B: Muesli & Yoghurt, coffee

S: Apple

L: I got a lil creative in the kitchen:) - 'Taco' salad (lettuce, tomato, 1/2 an avocado, capsicum, lots of salsa) with my own 'tortilla chips' (just cut a wholewheat tortilla into different sized triangles and chucked under the grill). Had the small chips with the salad, and had the larger ones on the side with MORE avocado and salsa. This lunch rocked! Oh i also had a choc-sultana biscuit to finish off:)

S: Weetbix with soy milk. Ensure icecream!- just poured an ensure into my icypole makers haha it actually tasted pretty good

D: Homemade indian; 2 french cut lambs, some chickpea concoction lol, steamed pumpkin and veg, poppadums, brown rice

S: Cocoa-banana smoothie - 200ml vanilla yoghurt that i froze, 1/2 a frozen banana, cup of soy milk, 1 TBSP cocoa

S: Vanilla-choc sundae, ensure

Todays so far:

B: Muesli & Yoghurt, coffee

L: Big rye wrap with hummus, LC cheese wedges, lettuce and ham. Can of 4-beans mix

Do you know what i find strange? how you americans eat pumpkin more as a fruit rather than a veg....like having it in coffee or oats etc. we in australia have it like with roasts and stuff for dinner. hahah weird! just thought i'd share:)

Breakfast: My usual muesli with vanilla yoghurt and blueberries

Am snack: Cranberry & muesli trail bar, ensure

Lunch: Subway wrap with roast chicken, cheddar and salad

Pm snack: Weetbix with soy milk, ensure

Dinner: Pumpkin & Goats cheese ravioli with tomato dressing, with bread rolls and salad

Supper: Vanilla-choc sundae, ensure.

Although my jobs pretty easy (simple admin job), I'v been getting compliments lately on my efficiency etc:) Just got offered a reception temp job there! not sure whether to take it! But just shows how important it is to nourish your brain, i certainly wouldn't be this good at my job if i was eating like i was a few months ago... it was hard to remember what day of the week it was let alone work efficiently full time! Yay for incentive

Doing full time working hours this week so it's good to be forced to normalise eating times.

B- Ensure, cup of nut muesli with 200ml vanilla yoghurt

S- Apple

L- Large bowl of soup with a wholegrain english muffin and a lil square of choccy:)

S- 200ml peach&mango yoghurt with a crumbled trail muesli bar and strawberries and blueberries (yum). An ensure

D- Making the fam a big greek chicken salad with all the salady bits, lots of chicken, fetta,olives and roast peppers. Served with 2 dinner rolls.

S- Vanilla choc sundae, ensure.

Becoming more experimental with my foods, not just having a boring sandwich for lunch everyday, really up for putting some variety in my eats!

B - Coffee. 1 cup of nut muesli with 200ml vanilla yoghurt and blueberries.

S - Apple, handful of nuts

L - 'Mexican Pizza' (new creation aha) : 1 wholemeal wrap used as base, topped with approx 4 TBSP salsa, 1/2 an avocado and 2 crumbled LC cheese wedges, chucked under the grill for 5 mins. Sultana-choc biscuit. This lunch was so good!

S - Ensure. Bowl of 200ml Peach & Apricot yoghurt with strawberries and 1/2 a crumbled muesli & cranberry bar

D - Beef pot roast with gravy, sweet potato and veg

S - 2 Ensures throughout the night, tub of hazelnut velvet icecream.

Quite a yummy day

great to see everyones opinions! i spose it really does come down to the certain characteristics of each persons ED; for some, calorie counting is pure evil! yet for others, its a helpful assistance to recovery. i guess it's just about figuring out whats best for us and accepting that everyones different and unique! :) x

Is it just me, or does anyone else have the opinion that just as calorie counting is not the only way to make sure you lose weight, it is also NOT the only way to help you gain. I'm against it. It's a horrible controlling habit.  It was my enemy at the height of my ED and it's not a part of 'healthy normal eating' which is what we're all on the road to, right? :) Just seeing a dietician and making sure you're getting all the required nutrients and food portions should be what gaining is focused on. Don't gain a week?, well then think your upped meal plan as adding food 'quanity/size', not adding 'calories'. That's my (and my dieticians) opinion anyway.

Todays:

B - Cup of fruit & nut muesli with 200ml vanilla yoghurt topped with blueberries and almonds

S - Large apple, trail muesli bar

L - Rye sandwich with 1/4 an avacado, LC cream cheese wedge and spinach. 250ml iced coffee

S - Will be a banana with peanut butter and lots of carrot with hommus... never liked peanut butter OR hommus but the more i have it the more i love it!

D - Mum's making spinach and fetta pie *drools*, served with veg

S - Vanilla-choc sundae

+ 3 lovely (not) Ensure's

Going travelling this Friday for about a week, so excited!

okayyy so if anyone wants to say something to any of the tessa's on here puhleaaase say which one hahah it confuses me!

Once again ill just estimate my cals, here's todays eats:

B - Cup of fruit & nut muesli (260) with a vanilla yoghurt (100) and a few blueberries = 360

S - Choc latte protein bar (170) and an apple (80) = 250

L - Wholemeal sandwich (200) with about 1/4 of an avacado (80), 2 tbsp ricotta cheese (70), spinach and tomato. 250ml tropical juice (130) = 480

S - Banana (80) and peanut butter (100) and an ensure (300) = 480

D - Whole capsicum stuffed with rice, mince, tomato & pine nuts, served with veg = 400+??

Evening - 2 ensure (600) and a vanilla-choc sundae (150) = 750

TOTAL = about 2700 calories. and i was underestimating where i could:)

Using the same utensils, plates and bowls

Drinking water first thing in the morning (probably a good habit!)

Having meals at the same time everyday!! (getting slightly anxious if i have it a bit earlier)

Already working on the food timing habit, i have pushed my meals back 0.5-1 hour in the past week because i knew i was just eating way too late. And who cares if lunch happens to be an hour earlier than i'd usually have it, right? If you feel like eating then, then just go forr it:)

I MISS SOCIETY WHEN IT WASNT SO CONCENTRATED ON BODY IMAGE DANG IT!! And none of these **** ads like 'lose 5pounds in 2 weeks' or 'drink these shakes instead of eating like a normal person and you'll have a flat stomach in days!!' Argh. Anyhoo haha...

i miss running and walks along the beach, i miss studying/working full time and not having to go to appointment most days, i miss having the rare 'treat' (which werent so rare haha), i miss my period!, i miss restaurants and i really miss cooking and baking!

s - apple and a trail bar

l - will be a wrap with pumpkin, ricotta, smoked peppers and spinach, and a small iced latte (fear food im determined to overcome today!!)

s - passionfruit frozen yoghurt, ensure

d - making yummy wraps - tortillas with avacado, tomato salsa, cheddar cheese and whatever else is in the fridge haha i'll invent as i go, side salad

s - peter's icecream cup and 2 ensure

yes, it IS over 2500!!

YAYYYYYYY gained 1kg :) :) and i wasnt guilty about it at all! finaaally have gotten on track, my dietician's gonna be so proud lol

todays:

B - Big bowl of muesli and natural yoghurt with almonds and blueberries (fav meal for sure)

S - An apple, and a Carmen's fruit & nut muesli bar

L - Wholemeal sandwich with ricotta, avacado, chicken and lettuce

S - Vitawheets with cheddar cheese singles, ensure

D - Huge bowl of beef hotpot soup and a toasted english muffin

S - Vanilla-choc sundae and 2 ensure

gonna stock up on some more protein bars and blueberries tomorrow haha i love them

By Christmas:

Be close to, if not at my ultimate goal weight!

Have a healthy normal balance of food and exercise

Be confident in a swimsuit...Xmas here in Aus is SOOO hot, i love it! my family and i like to have Christmas seafood and champagne brunch at the beach:)

Be enrolled for my studies, and having a job/wrk experience in PR

Continue my social life... right now it's pretty much getting quite amazing:)

Enjoy the summer music festivals to the maaaaxxxx!! so excited

Feeling confident about my weigh in tomorrow! GOOOOD day today, i'v eaten everything plus some! :)

So far:

B: Cup of muesli with 200ml of natural yoghurt, added almonds and blueberries. 250ml of tropical fruit juice

S: Apple, Berry and white chocolate protein bar

L: Wholemeal sandwich with ricotta cheese, avacado, smoked peppers, mushroom and olive...yummm.

S: Half a wholemeal english muffin with peanut butter and rasberry jam. Ensure

D: Will be a serving of curry with rice and 250ml Nudie mango fruit juice (heaven)

S: Will be an icecream of some sort and 2 ensures

I'm NOT going to count the calories, but just estimating that would be weeeell over 2500!!
