So they will slowly increase all day long?  So what does each number mean?  Because my logged activity plus or minus either number does not equal the other number...they seem totally unrelated.  Yesteday (day one), I thought the estimate was a goal...like the calorie goal...until it changed.  Thanks for your help!

Studying is hard, because it's easy to eat and study at the same time.  I agree with brushing your teeth...thats a genious idea and I will try it!  You could also try minty gum or fat free hard candy...something to have in your mouth keeping other food out.  I would pack away the leftovers after serving dinner but before I sit down to eat...so they are already gone.  Or pretend you're in a hurry to do something, so you get them put away quickly.  You should also turn off the lights in the kitchen when you leave so that it feels off limits and pour whatever you're going to drink into a larger container so that you don't have to refill it.  That might keep you away from snacking.  You could make smaller meals so you have no leftovers...just enough servings for everyone, and anyone who is still hungry can have fresh fruit or veggies for a snack.

The Lounge super annoying "friend" Apr 16 2009

First of all..."Judge not, that you be not judged."  That's the word of God.  It think you would feel very bad if your friend were saying similar things about you on the internet.  If she was your friend once, there must be something about her that you like, that you two have in common, and I'm sure her laugh didn't always bother you.  Perhaps you should talk to her and let her know that some of her opinions and actions are upsetting you.  Maybe she thinks you guys are so close that you can be honest with each other without anyone getting hurt.  Sometimes it's nice to have someone who will honestly tell you the pink dress makes you look fat, go with the black, instead of lying and letting you look bad.  I think a peson who "molds to fit any group of people" is someone with deeper issues.  She doesn't know who she is, and she's desperately trying to impress everyone to keep friends.  Maybe it's because she senses she's already lost you as a friend by the way you treat her.  Maybe you two should spend more time alone so she is reminded that you are still her friend and you like her for who she really is.  Tell her you think it's weird when she acts like a different person and it makes you uncomfortable...you just want her to be her.  Even if you don't believe in God judging you in the end, the poeple around you will see how you treat your 'friend' and your relationships with others will suffer.  If she is a 'toxic person' she won't change...but if she doesn't understand why you kick her out of your life...she'll just get worse because of it.  Remember that you are accountable for everything you do in your life, and if you harbor hate for someone, that is your problem, and it will only hurt you, not them.

You need to find something that motivates you.  Look at an old pic of you thinner, and keep telling yourself that you can be there again.  Think of it fondly, not with disgust.  Every pound is a step closer.  Cut out things that you don't need (replace soda with lemon water, replace mayonnaise with mustard).  Find ways to easily cut calories without completely changing your habits and it will be easier.  Don't buy unhealthy foods, you'll be doing your whole family a favor.  If you change the habits of your children, you can teach them to be healthy adults and they may never have to go through what you are going through.  That might be your motivator...to make them healthier.  Keep yourself busy.  Find something to do that you cannot eat while doing.  I eat when I'm bored or upset...so I clean my house instead.  You can make photo albums or scrapbooks for your children.  Take up photography and take walks to take photos.  You'd be surprised how energized you feel after exercising.

Foods Calories in raw meats vs. cooked? Apr 16 2009

Why not contact the manufacturer if you are this interested?  They should be able to give you an estimate of how much it would change.  When you cook it, look at the fluid that comes from it...if it looks oily, it likely has fat in it.  This means the grams of fat in that burger have decreased.  There are 9 calories for each gram of fat...but unless you separate the oil from the water and try to weigh it, there is no way for you to know how many grams of fat vs. water you have lost.
