Mmm... this is silly question me thinks. There are pretty much no calories there, right? So how can it possibly interfere with weight loss?

Weight Loss rewarding weight loss with junk food Jun 27 2009

I also think it's a bad idea. I actually stopped craving all this junk after about 3 months into my new lifestyle. I don't know... you say - about twice the calories of your regular healthy day. It would be about 1500 extra cals for me, this amound of calories would "undo" my efforts of three days. Not worth it.

Weight Loss Do You Eat Healthy Foods But Do Not Exercise? Jun 26 2009

So you guys are saying that one can not be healthy without exercise?  I don't believe that. The reason I don't work out is plain and simple - I am very lazy and hate any form of physical activity. But I managed to lose a lot of weight (from 230 to 160 two years ago and from 153 to 135 in past three onth) just by eating 1200 cals and sitting on my butt all day. And I am healthy - all my bloodwork and other stuff the doctor checked is perfect.

I quit sugar cold turkey about 2 months ago. And let me tell you: I have never felt better in my entire life. I feel great physically - no energy ups and downs, no "sugar rush", no sleepyness during the day! More stable steady energy! And what I love the most: I feel amazing mentally. I used to be a cheesecake/chocolate slave. Now I don't care about it al all! Yae, I can walk past cookies in the supermarket and I do not want it. It is very liberationg. I used to sabotage all my healthy eating efforts by sugar cravings. Now it's totally gone and I am losing weight and actually enjoying it.

Weight Loss weight loss pills May 22 2009

I decided to try SlimQuick at one point. Well, what can I say... it made me pee and pee and pee. Yeah, it had this diuretic effect. It also somewhat curbed my hunger. But than I got smart and decided to do it on my own. I still have like half of the bottle. I take couple pills before my period when I am bloated and it does help with this problem.

I would probably be ok with the idea of the pill, but I do get bad side affects. 10 days ago I started bleeding in between two periods. I thought "no big deal", I read that spotting is ok. But it has been like a full-blown menstruation, I have been bleeding for 10 days and I guess lost a lot of blood AND I have to constantly be on vicodin (which makes me feel like crap) or ibuprofen because it hurts pretty bad. It sucks. I made an appointment on Tuesday with different doctor.

I really hate that so many women put themselves through it. I hate it how media makes cellulite some kind of a desease and a horrible flaw. Just think: would you hate your cellulite if you have never hear that it's "bad" and "unattrective"? As you said - 90% of women have it. IT IS NATURAL! There is nothing you can do about it, except learning to love your body even with it. That's pretty much it.

Helen looked disgusting. If she is really 5'6 than 117 pounds is very underweight for 48 year old woman with children. It is. I seriously think that those who make the show should not let them drop below normal weight... it is not a good promotion. She looked sick, her face that used to be so cute became ugly. There is no way she did it in a healthy weight, she perhaps had to stave herself... That gao between her legs, lack of breasts. And she overdid with tan. This is just not fair.

And yeas, I am going to stay at steady 1200 cal per day.

It will not hurt your metabilism. All this 6 meals a day thingie is only supposed to keep your hunger at bay. It works for some, but might not work for you. Everybody is different. It doesn't work for me also, I like to save most of my calories for dinner.

I actually found that anything "light"/"fat-free"/"low-calorie version" tastes horrible. fat-free sour cream, fat-free mayo and dressings, skim milk, light tofu are disgusting. So, no thanks, I'd rather add two tablespoons of real sour cream to my salad and it will be delicious than gag at fat-free ranch dressing and feel completely unsitisfied after eating it. The only exception - Yoplait light yogurts.

Weight Loss Salt = bloating Apr 29 2009
15:05 (UTC)

If you give up salt you will lose some water weight in the first couple of day, it will not last for month :) But yea, it is quite possible that those 3 pounds are water held by salt.

Hey, just yeasterday I had a canned soup witt about 80% daily value for sodium (on top of my usual salt intake). And today I am 2.4 pounds heavier and my stomach is so bloated. No salt day today for me.

The Lounge worst insult you ever got because of your weight.... Apr 26 2009
20:02 (UTC)

I went back to my home country for a visit after 2 years in the US. A friend of mine and I decided to meet. The first thing she said to me, even before saying hello was "wow, you have gotten fat". Although I have actually lost about ten pounds in 2 years and I was not even overweight.

But the most offencive insults were always from my parents. I was a chubby girl and they never let me eat candy or ice cream. Once we had their friends visiting and when I reached for a candy my dad slapped me on the hand and said very loudly that I can not eat it because I am fat. I was 14 or 15. I went to my room and cried there, when a little boy (son of my parents' friends) came into my room and handed me this candy... this was sweet and bitter at the same time.
