Well, my dd and her bff got approved for their apt! Move in is Dec 18th. One out, one to go! LOL Now they want my furniture! Sheesh! They are going through my cupboards looking for what they can take! I gotta watch 'em! They'll have everything and I won't have a pan to cook with! LOL I'm so happy for them though. So is my son. He says he has a vacation spot now. ;) Hope you all are doing well......weekend is here!!! YAY!!!! |

Lynn, you're a sweetheart. I can't ride a bike. :( My legs would go bazerk (sp?)! That's why I can't do much walking. When I move my legs, my thigh muscle contracts and it tightens up the nerves that run through the muscle and causes leg pain. All the nerves from your back run through muscles all through your legs. That's why I can't stretch out my legs. PAIN!!! What I wouldn't give to be able to stretch in the mornings when I wake up! LOL Seriously, thank you so much for all your ideas. I just can't do much that has to do with my legs. And I can't lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk. Even a gallon of milk hurts to lift on some days. I like how I've been counting down calories for the week. So on days I don't eat alot its no big deal and, I can eat more on days when I have a bigger appetite. It's working. I went out to eat with my dd and her bff. I just had salad, dressing on the side and a small cup of chili (gotta have it!). I did good! They got the news that they got the apt and move in Dec 18th. One out the door, and one to go! LOL I'm so excited for them. Now they want all my furniture! hahahaha I'll give them stuff I can replace quickly. Thinking of giving them my living room furniture bc I do want new! LOL I have to talk to hubs about that one though. Just bought a new bed! Giving the old to dd. What a good mom I am! hehehe Well, see ya soon! |

Thanks Meg! I've made it thru today....Day 10! :) Going for my MRI on Tuesday, will probably get the results the following week bc of Thanksgiving. I know I've gotten worse just want to know how much worse my back is. :( Hope I can lay on that hard table long enough.

I started on the 10th. That was Day 1. Now I've had 10 good days and I'm going strong! I can't wait to weigh in again. I'm trying to put it off til the 24th. I don't know if I can. I like weighing myself everyother day at least. I've had the cauliflower mashed potatoes. I like them. My kids do too. My husband wants "real" potatoes! He says he's not pretending. LOL I don't keep track of my deficit. Just my calories and I make sure to move about as much as possible. Although some days I can't move much. Going for my MRI on Tuesday, will probably get the results the following week bc of Thanksgiving. I know I've gotten worse just want to know how much worse my back is. :( Take care! Tammy |

I can't have PT anymore. I wind up looking like a pretzel girl! It's not something I can do anymore. I go swimming in the summer and that helps alittle. It is what it is. I go for my MRI on Tuesday so since the holiday is next week, it'll be the following week before I know the results probably. I don't know if I can lay there on my back long enough to get it done. It's gonna hurt like heck. I might have my hubby take me and I'll take pain meds before going so I can lay there. I've been doing push ups leaning on my dresser. And I do punches too. So I am doing alittle something. I'm still sticking my plan! What I've been doing is I took 1200 calories x 7 days and got 8400 calories for the week. So everyday I subtract what I ate. That way I'm not eating the same amount of calories every day. Sometimes ppl lose weight more when they don't overdo the exercise. I've noticed that alot on here. I guess moderation is the key.

Hi! I'm here! I always check in, just don't always have something to say. Connie, hope you're all dried up now! LOL That same thing happened to me in our old house and it was terrible. I also used a dehumidifier and that dried things up quickly. Dont think twice of the pizza. So what! It is what it is. Lucy, sure hope you're doing ok. I know its so hard. Thinking of you. :) Today I weighed in at 184.4. I am getting back down again. I've stayed on track for 9 days and I'm proud of myself. I'm writing the numbers on my calendar for everyone to see. Kathiemfb ~ 14 lbs is soooo much! Go the grocery store and put 2, 10 lb bags of potatoes in your cart and that's about what you've lost! It's heavy! I did that and it really hit home just what I had accomplished. I'm doing good with my eating. I've finished Day 9 of staying on track and it feels good to see that number on my calendar. I don't (and won't) want to put a "1" back up there. No more starting over!!!! Hope you all are well and doing great! |

Hi Lynn! You were posting the same time I was writing! LOL That's too funny!!! Anyway, yeah, I was feeling out of place bc I can't exercise now and I get, well, I don't know how to describe it really. I WANT to exercise so bad and when I read about others doing what I want to do, it gets to me. To know what I NEED to do and just physically can't do it is upsetting to say the least. It's hard. I weighed in at 184.6 today. Hope it sticks! This is nice that I'm losing. I'm determined to get to 170 again and then try hard as hell to get to my goal of 160 lbs. To get there under these circumstances would be awesome. ;) Lynn, I'm eating well. All good foods. I know eating the right things will keep me on my path and hopefully I won't hit a plateau. UGH! That would suck! hahaha BBL! Hope you're well and doing great! :)

This may seem weird, but I do so much better during the holiday season with the eating. I always lose weight between Thanksgiving and x-mas. Always have. I guess I'm super careful then. I don't know. Weird! So I'm kinda looking forward to the holiday season! ;) |

Well this is Day 6 of my plan and I've stuck to it! I'm doing real well with sticking to my calories and moving about as much as possible. Ttom is practically done so I'll weigh in tomorrow morning to see what's going on. And it'll be Day7 too! A whole week of sticking to this! ;) I watched the Steeler game.....they lost against the Bengals!!! They were battling for 1st place. We're still good though. hahaha I'm bored half out of my mind. Hubby is sleeping, of course. What else does he do these days. He's always so tired. He's working 6 days a week, 12 hr days. It's really getting to all the guys. I guess know they're talking about them working 5-10 hr days. That would be better. At least he'd have 2 days off. Well, gotta go. ttys! |

I've heard on tv that ppl gain weight in the winter bc it gets dark sooner. Instead of being outdoors, you're indoors more and closer to the fridge! LOL I'm weighing in tomorrow. I feel lighter. I'll see soon enough! :)

Nooooo, lynn.......the mom's bf beats the mom up. Not my sons gf. Sorry I confused you. I tried to make it clear it was the mom. She put him in jail and then got him out! I hear that happens alot. Oh well.....there's nothing I can do. I feel bad for the kids though. There's 3 girls and my sons gf is the oldest. Today is day 3 of my plan and it's doing good. Ttom showed up yesterday so I haven't been doing great. Yesterday.....just layed in bed and I slept allllll day. No joke. I slept all day! I think I was awake 4 hrs of the day, at most. Today it was better and I left the house with my daughter for a few hours. It was good to get out. AND I had my dr appt with my pain dr. Have to go for another MRI bc of the pain increases and if there are changes for the worse again, he's sending me back to the surgeon again. He's talking fusion. PAIN!!!! And long recovery time! Going for the MRI next week. Happy to hear the good news about the loan being approved. Good for you! Sounds like everything is going well and you'll soon be a proud home owner! :) Haven't weighed in, will do that later. Ya know...... :(

Hi everyone! Where ya'all at? I did real good with my eating today. I have a goal for this week. 1200 calories a day and exercise of some sort for 20 mins. I'm keeping track of this on my calendar. So today I put a big "1" on the 10th. I'll keep you all posted. I know I can do this. Every week I'm making a goal for myself. To do something healthy for 7 days. Along with exercising 20 mins a day and the 1200 calories. I have to get some sleep now. Tam |

I did good with my eating today and I got in 20 mins of exercise. That's my goal this week. I ate 1200 calories and exercised. I felt like I did an hour. It's been a while since I've exercised and I was real careful not to move my legs too much and make them start hurtin'. I feel like I accomplished something for once. Feels good! Ttom is coming soon. I can feel it. So in the next couple days I'm gonna be down again. Every month......2 days of hell! :( I have to goto the dr and get this taken care of. It drives me crazy! Really. My sons gf is coming home from school with him tomorrow. She's a nice girl, but her home life is complicated. Her mom has this bf who beats her up (the mom). Not good. Her dad died some time ago, so I feel bad for her. My son is so nice to her. And its so sweet to see them together. Well, I have rambled on long enuf. "see" you all soon! Tam |

I'm gld I don't have to be bohered by nuts in my yard. But I have a darn apple tree that draws knats when they are on the ground. I hate those things! The weather here in Pa has been nice this week. No rain and the sun has been warm. I wish I could go on one of my walks. I miss walking. Today I did alittle exercising at home. 20 mins and I felt like I had done an hour! It's been a while. :( I'm gonna try to do 20 mins a day and see if that will help me lose some weight. I hope something helps. Geeze! I wish the rain could melt off some of these inches! I've been doing this since Oct '07, so I know what to do to lose. I was 170 for like 8 months. Never going up or down. Then, WHAM! I gained 20 lbs back really fast. Now I can't lose it again! Now THAT'S frustrating!!! I don't give up. I know this is a life time thing for me. I just have to get a hold of this and get this weight off. wyogirl ~ I'm 189 too! |

Hello! I'm sticking to this group lynn. It's more for me. Ya know, a better fit. :) Hope you all are doing well. In the last month I've lost 4 lbs! I can't believe I actually lost something. Soooo nice! I will take that 4 lbs and run with it! For so long I was seeing an increase in my weight every month. So finally seeing a lower number is great! LOL I think my battery in my scale is starting to get low. It's giving me some weird numbers. I gotta weigh myself a few times to finally get the right weight. I'll get a new battery tomorrow. Then it better not give me a higher number! LOL |

Hi axe! Nice to have you back! It has been a nice weekend! 67* here today! I'm waiting for the snow tomorrow! LOL Well, I am happy to report that in the last month, I have lost 4 lbs! At least it's something to report that's good! It was a hard 4 lbs to let go too. hehe How is everyone? What ya do this weekend? I went outside in the yard for a few minutes to enjoy the sun today. But other than that I've had to just lay around to try to get my legs to stop burning. It's getting worse so I go to the Pain Mgt Dr on Friday so I'll let them know then. Not much they can do now. I'm taking all the meds I can take and they are at the highest dosage I can take. They always just shrug and say "hang in there". It's not their fault, I know they are trying to help me the best they can. Hope everyone is ok and your families too. I think of you all always. Take care! Tammy |

Hi all! I've been checking in, but noone has been here. Glad not everyone is like me! Ya know, waiting for someone else to post first! I don't know why I'm like that. I just am. Posted a new pic of me with my new hair cut! My dd cut it a few days ago. I curled it with a curling iron today. I had to buy one the other day. I haven't curled my hair in years. I figure why bother! LOL But it's such a cute haircut! I love it! I can curl it so many ways! I'm not having to deal with leaves here. Not a whole lot of trees. Aly ~ 2 lbs is probably water weight from all that good eating! lol Plans for Thanksgiving.....cooking here for my family. I love making a good dinner here. My kids friends always make their way here to eat too. :) |
