grande1-It's great to hear someone else my size, weight and weight goal actually exists.  Thanks for the info from your dietitian.  I was advised to keep my caloric intake below 1500 also.  And, yes...I love food, so the snacking is always my problem, especially mid-afternoon (I have 2 children who have "after school snacks", so naturally I have one, or two, or three....with them).  I just keep telling myself, they are watching my habits, so I may be negativly influencing them when it comes to their view of food.  It's a daily struggle!  So, know you're not alone!

Tara  I bike and am considering getting the clips.  A friend of mine firmly believes they will assist in the spinning process, so I would like to give them a try.  I road bike with a mountain bike, so I could use all the help I can get!

Thanks for asking about the 1400 cals.  I've allowed myself 1700, knowing I'll need the extra 3-400 cals to get me through my daily workout.  That being said, I'm doing well.  Thanks for asking!

Thanks for the encouragment!  Today's my first day at trying to keep under 1400 calories.  I desire to lose 10 lbs before my 10th wedding anniverary in July.  Anybody with me???
