I recently found that one apple contains approx 20grams of sugar, so I would replace your apple with raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, or any other fruit available in your area. Hope this helps! |

| Weight Loss | A Happy Weight For A 5'2'' Girl | Oct 11 2009 16:56 (UTC) |

I'm 5'2, 14 years old, and weigh 100lbs. I used to weigh 120lbs, and I always thought I was too heavy (because that was all body fat). Now, I have 12 % bodyfat, so my arm muscles and abs are extremely defined. I love it! People compliment me all the time, and I don't have to eat some freaky small amount of food to maintain it. I currently eat 1800-2100 calories a day, and am very active (at least 60 min 5 days/wk). I think your fine in terms of weight to height ratio. Focus on maintaining your weight and increasing your lean muscle mass. Good luck! |

I have been using the Wii Fit daily since November 1st, 2008 (11 months). I find it incredibly encouraging and a great way to start my day in the morning. I started at 120lbs, 5'2. I currently weigh 100lbs (14 years old). I'm eat 1800-2100 calories a day. The only thing I recommend is weighing without any clothes on. It gives you the option to take 2 or 4lbs off for the clothes you are wearing, which isn't accurate at all. Just do it naked and click "Other - 0lbs". Then it will give you an accurate weight and bmi. Great way to lose weight! |

I went to the movies about a week ago and brought a Ziplock with 1 cup Cheerios and 1 small box of raisins (opened and mixed in the Ziplock). I saw 17 Again, and it lasted me the whole movie. Only 240 calories, too! You can be creative and mix different dried fruits together with pretzels, chips, chex mix, dry cereal, etc. It's really fun seeing what you can come up with, and wards off the temptation of gooey buttery popcorn. |

Hello! I'm 5'2. My start weight in November was around 120lbs. I began CalorieCount in May at 114lbs. My current weight is 101lbs. I'm 14 years old and wear a size 0. I absolutely love the way I look and am very proud of my body. I don't want to lose anymore weight. Grow a few inches, maybe. But I am definitely happy in my own skin. |

| Weight Loss | What is the proper balance of protein, carbs and fats as a percentage? | Jul 18 2009 14:17 (UTC) |

To pbear999: When watching your sugar intake, never eat raisins! That's 30 grams of sugar per 1.5 oz box! If you want fruit on your cereal, try blueberries and/or strawberries. 1 cup of blueberries has only 12 grams of sugar, and even then I only put 1/2 cup on my yogurt. Hope this helps =) |

To increase your metabolism, you definitely want at least 1500 calories. I'm not looking to increase my metabolism because I like where my body is right now =) I'm just looking to maintain. I used to be just about immune to sickness until I lost the first 10 lbs. My ideal weight is 119 lbs, which is the point in which my body can fight off diseases the best. Because I'm about 15 lbs less than that, I do get sick more often. You really just need to eat nutrient-dense foods that will fight off sickness (like green vegetables, salmon, beans, etc.) I weigh myself everyday with the Wii Fit =) It really helps because it will monitor your weight goals and tell you you're weight and BMI at the same time. Do you have any friends/family that want to lose/maintain a health weight? My mom and dad do theirs everyday, too, and it's something we've bonded over =) |

It sounds like your body doesn't trust you to feed it and is absorbing everything you eat. Keep doing what your doing for another week. Most of the weight you've gained is probably water and should come off soon. Are you underweight? How much of the six pounds (if any) do you want to keep? You should probably do different exercise (aerobic, strength, cardio, etc.) everyday to figure out what triggers your body to gain/lose weight based off of exercise. Other than that, maintain 1800 calories a day. |

I'm only 5'2, but I hope to be at least 5'4 when I get older. I am currently 14, weigh 103 lbs, and eat 1100-1400 calories a day. I used to weigh 120 lbs, and ate 2000-2200 calories a day. I do a lot of aerobic exercise, as well as being on our high school dance team (about 10 hrs of dance a week). I always gain weight when I eat 1500 calories. What are your stats? I would start out with a calorie deficient of 200-500 calories, and an increase of cardio/aerobic exercise to 3 to 4 days a week. What kind of exercise are you doing on the 2 days per week? |

| Weight Loss | Weighing daily | Jul 01 2009 15:25 (UTC) |

I've been weighing myself daily since November, and it has helped me go from 120 to 103. I'm 14, 5'2, and I highly recommend weighing everyday. It helps to understand how your body reacts to certain food/exercise, and you really learn a lot. I can predict whether I've lost or gained weight because I'm so in tune with my body. Weighing everyday helps to keep you on track and really helps to prevent relapse. |
