I am 16 years old. I came to Calorie Count because I want a better looking body. I won't sugercoat it, I hate the way I look, as I know lots of teenagers do. I've recently lost lots of weight unhealthily, and I'm here to learn how to love my body, how to shape my body, and how to loose weight and maintain weight loss in a healthy, non-threatening way.  I am so happy to be here!!

Motivation Please offer your "obsession" scenarios... :) Apr 26 2009

Oh you are not alone with this one. Every time I show concern for what I ate or how little I excersized everyone looks at me like I have an eating disorder. I wish more people could praise instead of judge.

I don't think you are too obsessed, for I am the same way. Maybe we are both obsessed.  I always find that the more I worry about my calorie intake, the more calories I end up consuming.

I've found that the best thing for me is to stay strict with excersizing but not with eating. If I force myself to exercise at a certain time each day, and burn a certain amount of calories, then I'm less likely to feel guilty for anything else, I'm also less likely to mention anything because my workout just ends up feeling like a part of my day, just like drinking coffee.

Wish I could be of better help, but just know that you aren't alone with this. :)
