I have used Scottrade for ten years and I'm very happy with them. My favorite stocks right now are Alcoa AA, Corning GLW, Sirius SIRI, APWR, OCNF and FDO. Even if we are not at the bottom yet, I feel that we are close enough to start dollar cost aveaging into the market. Only invest what you don't need for a few years as it is a gamble. Jeff

| How about a tablespoon of peanut butter or with a slice of bread. Easy to fix and lots of protein. Jeff |

I have not been on here for a while as I've been very busy doing other things. So much to do, so little time. I doubt that I will be here much to keep up with the posts and as for points I have decided to quit counting. I do need to get back to eating less though as my past 4 days have been way too high. Welcome Drammaw! I like how you got your name. My wife and I are Grammy and Poppie to our grandkids via the same method. Pam - my days off are Wednesday + Sunday except for holiday weeks. Then we usually get Monday, Thursday and Sunday off. Angela - My wife is very leary about putting personal information on the net. That's why I removed my photo for a while. Forks - thanks for the message. Jeff |

| I have a very physical job which involves walking 7-10 miles a day pulling, pushing, carrying and stocking shelves. Very exhausting. Just imagine working out moderately for about 8 out of 12 hours at work daily. Hope that helps clarify how I eat that much. I would venture to say I burn 4500-5000 calories on my longest days. Jeff |

| Thanks Pam. Don't let the points fool you, I have been eating too much lately. The scale said 204 this morning. Ouch Thanks for the prayers Kris, we were not too far away from you as my hometown is Jamestown NY. |

I wonder where Mark, Tamji, Jeff, and Vthompson have been??? Giving you all shout outs.... where ya at??? Thanks Angela for asking? It's nice to know when you are missed. Molly, I would agree that your doctor would know your situation best. I read some where that the average American eats way too much salt. here I too was concerned but not bothered by it now as we are all different. | I have been very busy lately and have not had a chance to post results. Putting in over 55 hours at work left me exhausted each evening and mostly vegged out in front of the TV. Wednesday night just after going to bed for the night our daughter calls to tell us our grandson fell down the steps and to hurry over. My wife went rather hysterically and I felt bad that I didn't drive her as I had to be up in 6 hours for another 12 hour day at work. About 6-7 minutes later my daughter called back saying that our grandson was holding his right arm saying that it hurt. Basically reassuring me that it was not too bad. When Debbie got there they took him to the hospital as his wrist was swelling up. After the Dr. checked him out my daughter says it's not too bad is it. Dr. replied yes it is, had it been an adult it would have snapped completely but being a child it still was broken but bent rather than snapped off. Our grandson is getting used to the cast but wants it off as it itches sometimes. We pray that it heals well. Also went out of town for the weekend to visit with family. Results below if not too late. | Forks, Quote "The day that CC allows you to put the item consumed and the calories on it and such is the day I do it. " 1) Find the food in our database using the browse links at left or the search box. Click the item name to see a detailed page, and click the "Add to food log" link in the upper left hand corner of that window. Search foods: 2) If you know the calorie content for a particular food, add it here using a small form. ------------------------------------- I use add it here all the time as it allows you to put what you want in, many times I will double or triple the quantities and tag it so I can use it regularly. Tagging items makes it much easier once you have most your regular foods tagged. Pen & paper is fine too if you like doing it that way and much quicker. With add it here you actually could put your totals in as one entry for the day for tracking purposes. Jeffrey (AKA Jeffery) |

quote "I want to log say 1/2 sandwich and they want me to log the entire thing. Any tips for that you veterans?" The number 1 can also be replaced with any number or a fraction of it. 1/2 = .5 1/4 = .25 3/4 = .75 1/3 = .33 You get the idea. Jeffrey |

Another nice feature is on the analysis page when you float over the date it breaks down more info for you. And when you refresh the page it scrolls you down to where you were.
con: Only half as many posts are listed per page. |

I was referring to sparkling flavored water. Walmart's brand - Sam's Choice Clear American calories-0 fat-0 sodium-0 carbs-0 protein-0 carbonated water, citric acid, potassium citrate, natural flavor, aspartame, potassium benzoate, acesulfame potassium contains phehylalahihe I need to cut back on all those added chemicals anyways. I asked Pam in a private message about flavored water. Confession time: For the first 2 weeks I also counted the 33 oz bottles of flavored water that I drink 3-5 of daily. So my actual points should have been 50-60 less. I will only count plain water this month. Jeffrey |
