It happens KyM, don't be so hard on yourself. How often are you weighing yourself?

 The same thing happened to me in the beginning. I was158 and stuck there . I basically weighed myself everyday and nothing . I was taking in only 1200 calories and working out like crazy and nothing. I said enough because I was getting frustrated. I understand it makes you feel so discouraged. I told my daughter to hide the scale and only give it to me once a week .Every Friday. Then i just did my thing and when I finally weighed in I had lost 2 pounds. It has worked for fine for me so far .

 When do you weigh yourself? Make sure its in the morning after you have used the bathroom and on an empty stomach. I usually wait an hour after that because I have bad circulation,retain water .I wake up a little swollen it alaway adds like 2 pounds it drives me crazy ten I take abreather and forget about it.

They also said somewhere not to focus on numbers. I know its not easy.

If your clothes fit loser and you can get through your workouts with ease and are eating right you are doing the right thing. I'm sure you have noticed some changes in your body already so when you weigh yourself and nothing has changed it becomes confusing. Just trust yourself and continue doing what you are doing. You know yourself better than the scale does.

I am going to try to do the whole p90x . Except for back and arms . My arms are the thinnest part of my body they are already toned. Its those darn thighs and butt i want to tone not to mention my little pooch . The baby gift that keeps on giving.  My babies are all over 11 LOLCry

Wish me luck ladies. I've never worked out so hard in my life.

I just finished Tony Horton's plyometrics. wow... I guess I'm in better condition than i thoughtSurprised 1hr . i got through it !Not as hard as my hubby said. Its all about motivation and never giving up. Our bodies are stronger than we think... we push babies out don't we?Yell Speaking about babies mine turned 11 todayCry. My middle child will be 16 soon alsoCry Then my oldest, 18 in Feb. Where did the time go??????????????????Undecided

P.S 148pounds today 3 more pounds to go... then I have to maintain and tone some more.

Hi ladies,

Sorry Ive been a stranger. Im still working out consistentlyYell

Im still at 149 since last week need 4 more to go! Just need more cardio to burn last of fat and then tone , tone tone!

KyM, how are you? and welcomeLaughing I Love  Amazon ,that's where I get my reviews too. Keep Shredding , it does work . I lost 22 pounds last year on shred alone but gained it  in winter. I lost it again thank god. 172 in March now 149. I don't do shred anymore I work out to truble zones and BFBM. It kicks butt. You'll get stronger and will be there in no time. take my word. I also do Jackie Warner . Its more for toning but before we get into to too much toning we have to incorporate cardio  to burn  fat. The muscle is under thereWink

Hi Tawnya,

There is always room for more. You definitely came to the right group for motivation. Here you will find alot a great people who only have positive things to say. I'm also married to an officer , he works for customs. I'm 38  5ft 8in .I  have 3 kids 2 boys 17 and 11 and one girl 16.

I did the shred last year and believe me it works. I was 167 and went down to 145 but gained it back in winter. I started again this march increasing intensity and adding longer work outs and I went from 172 to 149 . My goal now is to get to 145 and tone up.

Good Morning everyone,

TGIF!  Well I did my weigh in today and I'm kind of torn. I lost weight!  I'm down to 149... I know that's alot in a week.  I was just 154 last Friday. Now I know why I fit into my size 9 jeans. My goal is still 145 but I didn't think I would reach it so soon. My guess it was the intense exercising, bike riding and my intake of 1300 to 1400 calories. I'm 5 ft 8 I don't want to lose that much weight . Its bad enough I have a thin face and lean arms. Don't get me wrong I'm happySmile its way better than 172Surprised when I started in march.

I'm going yo increase my intake and continue working out to maintain but I still have so much toning to do. Beggars cant  be choosers. I just don't want to look like skeletor Cry

Thanks Rozie, I was shocked when i put those jeans on.

I wish I had J-lo Butt. Both my parents are Puerto Rican and unfortunately I take from my dads side of the  family. When Im slim I have more of a swimmers type body. So not to many curves for me. My dads family all look European , blue eyes, blond hair and I've got  none. Now my mom on the other hand typical Latin body . Curves booty and all even at her age. Shes 61 and looks 50. . God Bless her

Any ways, today Im going to try P90x kempo and see how that goes. Wish me  luck ...

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing fine. I so happy im down to a size 9 in my jeans. I remember in march I couldnt even get one thigh in them. I was wearing a size 14! 

Anyways , weigh in is tomorrow and I'm pretty confident. Today I decided to change it up a bit and did some P90x cardio. It was about 60 minutes. I realized I was just toning with a little bit of Cardio in the routines. Everyone needs cardio to burn that fat. Weigh in tomorrow. wish me luck and and I will keep you guys posted on the results. We need to motivate each other!Smile

WinkThanks Rozie, you do alot I don't think I could keep up with your schedule . Beach volley ball, now that sounds like a workout. You'll do fine when you have your family. It was hard for me because I was so young I was barely done with college when I got married. That where  I met my husband, I sat behind him in sociology.LoL

Heck Yea, I'm ravenous after a  workout. I usually make a  huge salad with tuna and some light progresso soup. . I'm sure you are probably in dreamland now .

Hey Rozie,

I guess Its because I only work part time. I couldn't imagine doing all I do  if I started working full time again. I have 3 kids ,I guess you could say I'm Old fashioned. I like to be home when they get home from school. Not to mention that I have 18 yrs under my belt at juggling more than one thing at a time I had my oldest at 22 then my middle child 16 months later then the youngest at 28. I get tired just thinking about the old days.Cry It got easier as I got older. I matured with experience. You could say on the job training. It wasn't easy . My husband and I will be married 19 yrs July 23rd. Knock on wood.Laughing

I guess I have been doing OK . I  don't go over my calorie intake plus I have a weigh in on Fri. clothes are fitting loose especially around the butt and thighs which is what I'm really focusing on besides my core. I have taken up a new activity aside from the 6 day workouts. I have been riding my bike 10 miles every weekend . I know that's going to have to burn some thigh fat.

Everyone just keep up the good work. Rozie do not worry about those extra pounds its probably just water weight. I was getting frustrated in the beginning also. I used to go from 158 to 161from one day to the next . I was getting really pissed offYell Then I just stopped weighing my self every day and waited a whole week and I finally checked  I was 155 and  now 154.

We have to remember notto be so hard on ourselves,we have come a long way.

Thankyou! My calorie mark is supposed to be like 1500 or 1400 . Because of weight and height I suppose. What I did was put mine at 1300 so if I go over a little its ok. I never go over 1400. Oh ! if you guys are in to snacks that are healthy and tasty I recommend: Edys fruit bars. Oh my god they are soooo good and only 80 calories.

 Anonther one if you like ice cream is Skinny cow  cones. I think only 100 calories. You can google them if you like. The cones are the best.

Fruit bars. I lovvvvvvvvve the strawberry ones. I want one now! but my daughter ate the last one. I guess I have to act like it tastes bad so I can actually get some. lol

P.S this weekend I have to admit I had two pepperoni and fried chicken  slices of Pizza. Not to mention that it was mixed the pepp and chicken. But  boy was it good! I felt a little guilty but that  not much cause I still didnt go over my calorie intake of 1300.

lol I feel better now.Phewww thats a load off. lol

Hey Daci,

 Congrats! I to had a victory. 154!  You are so right, this site really helps. Keep up the good work and congrats . Very well deserved , I know its not easy with our busy schedules and all. Keep in mind there is nothing we cant do if we put our minds to it!

Well off to burn some more fat with some cardio BFBM and then tomorrow tone it with Trouble Zones.

So have you done a weigh in? and how is it going wth shred. Did you get the BFBM DvD yet// ? Thats what Im going to do now. I did a weigh in today and I lost another 1lb. 154! Finally. My core is strong and I feel great . I know I have toned muscles in my stomach but I read that you have to do alot more Cardio to burn the fat so the muscles show. So thats what Im going to do now. BFBM. I want to sweat that fat off. Only (9 more pnds to go. But Im just going to focus on 4 pounds 150 then worry about the rest laterWink

Welcome Amy, Yes it does get easier. Before you know it you will be bored and breezing through L1 . Just don't do to much at once . The reason you are aching so much is because you just started not to mention you are mixing the levels up too soon.The DVD is designed to be done 1 level at a time when you begin,. Then you move up once you get stronger. When you are done with all levels if you feel strong enough then it's OK to mix up or even do all 3 if you can. Pace yourself, 1 day at a time. You will see the changes as you go along. I guarantee!

Just pace yourself. Remember it gets easier, by next week there should be no soreness just burning during the actual exercises which is completely normal. Next thing you know you will be on L2.  My thighs were sore yesterday from  Jillian's No More Trouble Zones,and I did some stretching with yoga. Then I did BFBM and took a Hot! bath and felt much better.  Good Luck and thanks . I'm starting a new exercise routine on Monday .Will still use Jillian's workouts in between though.Wink

Yes, welcome missmonica.

You do get stronger and it does become easier.

On a different note  I just finished the B F B M by Jillian and oh my god what a workout! Those jump squats are killers.Tongue out I got through it thank god.  So when ever you feel like giving up just pull through. If it hurts too much take a 1 second break and start over. You don't want to hurt yourself.

PS I didnt see it post.  I weighed myself after a week and I lost 3 pounds. 155!

Good Morning ladies. Its raining cats and dogs here in Ny! Undecided

I did my weigh in this morning and didnt cheat all week.

I was 158 last Friday.

Drum roll please .... 155! Finally.Laughing I cant believe I was 172 in March! When I joined CC I was 162. I still have 10 pounds to go. 145 is my goal by end of June beginning of July. Dont give up ladies, if I can do it so can you.

Wow, 5 pounds ! that great. I may move up but I don't think my arms are the problem.  I have that stupid little kangaroo pouch woman get after they have kids. Thats what I want to get rid of bad. Plus lose some booty weight and tone tone tone not to mention lift it . Good luck ... I do the  burn fat boost metabolism  from you tube .  Trouble zones from exercise on demand if you have time Warner.  Check out Jackie Warner 1 0n 1 training . I worked out with her last year. She doesnt play either . WinkI'm gong to alternate between jillian and her DVDs . Billy blanks tae-bo cardio blast also great.

You seem to be working out just as hard as I am .Good for you. I saw your ab pics that's impressive.  My stomach is pretty good now too. Its hard for my husband to admit it but today he finally said wow. Which is all I needed for encouragement.  I guess its hard for him. He tells me that he missed the fluffy me. 172 pounds of fluff.! No way! But when I was "fluffy" he was making fun of me.. MenYell I just want to slim my thighs  tone and lift the booty .lol . My stomach looks sort of like yours. My arms are great I have slim arms so the muscle tone is great. Biceps and the whole nine...

 On a lighter note lol. Let me see.... For burning those calories  I like Boost Metabolism.  There's no weights there and its a shorter workout 45 min I think . But you sweat like crazy  which is good.

Toning wise , Troubles Zones of course its 55 min but it kicks my butt. I like both for different reasons. I use 4 pound weights for zones. At what weight did you start and how are you doing now.?If you finished its time to step it up to the harder workouts. Alternate that's what I do. Wink

I don't do all those exercises in one day of  course .  I alternate so that my body doesn't get bored. Ex.

yesterday: Billy Blanks lower body boot camp.

today: Jillian's No more trouble zones

tomorrow: Her other video . Burn fat boost Metabolism

I think the above DVDs are for people that have gotten through the 30 day shred DVDs. They are much longer and more intense and I read some where that the Burns fat one ,burns 3hundred something calories

Keep in mind the body adapts very easy to repetition . So its very important to throw in some different stuff on different days if you can.

No problem,  Last year I was just doing the 30 day shred , that's when I realized the full potential of my body. Keep in mind I  had never worked out to anyone so intensely . I couldn't believe that I lost so much weight and tone up just by doing shred. I didn't even count calories like now. I just ate healthy. I cut  out soda, sugar ,red meat ,chips ,whole milk and white bread. 

 LaughingGreen tea they say helps burn fat during workouts  . That's all I drink and water.

Now  I do Jillian's troubles zones , Billy Blanks lower body boot camp and Jackie Warner 's 1 on 1 workout. I owe it all to Shred. There is no way I could do these workouts and feel so confident about the end results if I hadn't seen how a simple DVD could change my body. I'm 38 and have 3 kids so it has ot been easy. I'm sure there are moms out there that can relate. You tend to forget about yourself sometimes...

P.S Angi,  It does work... I  went from 167 to 145 last year but I got lazy and gained it back for the winter. I only have myself to blame. I started again a little more intense workouts this time . I have to admit I felt her workouts were to short for me this time around . Its great for beginners though.  Anyways, I started in March 172 pounds! Now I'm 158. I haven'tt checked since last FRI. Stat 5 ft 71/2 tall.Smile

Welcome Angi, its great to have support. Like I told the other ladies its gets so much easier. Before you know it you'll be done with all 3 levels and looking for more intense workouts. One step at a time though. And remember always go at your own pace but always be consistent.Today I did Jillian's Trouble Zones ! Holy cow! 58 minutes!  Weigh in ON Fri for me. Its been a week. I quit cold turkey. I was weighing myself every morning. I was becoming obsessed.  Maybe we should all do weigh ins on the same days? NO Pain No GainYellWink
