I am doing both.  I have started working out about 4 or 5 days a week.  I started the Couch to 5K program and am about to start week 4, and do weights too at times.  I eat about 1500 to 1600 cal a day

I am 5'7 and no I am not really pear shaped either.  Its hard to tell if I am losing weight since I see myself everyday you know what I mean?  And nobody else has told me anything.  I am sure there are some changes, probably on the soles of my feet since I dont seem to see anything!

I buy the light and fit yogurts and stick them in the freezer, then when I am bored at work and would want a snack I get one of those out and it literally takes me about 45 minutes to eat, so its a healthy snack and it takes forever to eat!

I really like Raisin Bran/Raisin Bran Crunch, Cinnamon Life, Mini Wheats (I had the strawberry kind once and they were really good), granola, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Cocoa Krispies.

Can you tell I love cereal?? LOL! And even though I really like it, I don't really eat it that much!

CRUNCHY CORN BRAN IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  haha, unfortunately I do not let myself buy it because I have been known to eat the entire box in one sitting!!!!

Hello, I did a low carb diet (less than 20 a day) and I will be honest with you.  I had so much fun with it.  I love meat and cheese so I had a blast eating tons of bacon every day.  I did lose weight.  I did it one month before I left on a trip to Mexico.  I knew it was going to be a "quick fix" and that I would gain it back once I stopped.  The big downfalls with it was I was CRAVING sweets, I have never been much of a sweet eater.  Going down the cereal aisle at the grocery store was killer for me.  Unfortunately I think one of the biggest problems was that once I stopped, I am still craving sweets.  I think it could possibly have changed me into a sweet eater!!!!!  Yes I gained the weight back, but it was fairly fun while it lasted.  I could never do it for more than one month though.  I was completely at my breaking point.

I am still grumpy about how easy it must be to lose weight if you eat lots of junk! When I started weight loss initially, I already was doing most of the things they suggested, and I was all indignant ("I DO savour my food. I DO cook from scratch with natural ingredients. I NEVER SNACK! I HATE FIZZY DRINKS I HATE MCDONALDS RRRAAR!")  Though... I suppose people who eat junk food actually like the taste... I think it tastes of greasy cardboard.

 

Ohhhh I so miss drinking my wine.... I allow myself wine nights still, just not every other night lol

OMG, my biggest problem was cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Often for dinner my boyfriend and I would cut up several types of cheese, and get some proscuitto, fruit, and crackers, and open up a bottle of wine or two and just go to town.  Sigh... I still miss that.   Maybe i havent been dieting long enough
