I am loving "Rachel's" right now. HEB sells it, don't know where you are, but they have awesome flavors and they are in single serve containers. http://rachelsdairy.com/ |

| Fitness | Looking for advice on adding in more exercise | Aug 28 2009 16:12 (UTC) |

I agree that you should go to your medical advice on this issue, however, I want you to have some more fun in your workouts. I have started belly dancing and you wouldn't believe the abs from 6 wks of it! Not to mention low impact & fun. My Y has the classes, but there are even some shows on FitTV. I'd bet that your condition could take it. Has to be more fun that tread or elliptical! Good luck and take care of yourself. |

Love yourself today, exactly the way you are at day 10. You are obviously a beautiful person and don't let them make you feel any less worthy of love because of weight. You are the same person that was "too thin" at one point. No difference in who you are, just your stage of life. I just had a conversation with my Mom (the source of my body issues) this evening where I told her, please embrace and maybe giggle at the faults in others and really revel in having fun with them despite it! The things that annoy you can become a private giggle with a friend or husband. I try to do exactly that with my Mother. Be healthy, and drop those grand-babies like shut-up bombs! |

| Foods | Ideas to spruce up plain old canned tuna? | Jun 25 2009 05:44 (UTC) |

I use petite sweet peas (you can just rinse frozen ones and throw them straight in), lots of dill, fat free mayo and chopped boiled egg whites. I love the peas popping! I am a texture nut. On occasion when I'm craving salty, I will go with dill, ff mayo, chopped boiled egg whites, and then add capers, black olives and chopped bell pepper. Yummy. I've tried different mustards too. There is this Jack Daniels mustard that I love for tuna & chicken salads. I like to add onion too, but my hubbie hates it so I usually spare him. Everyone has made the |

2, 4, 6, 8. I don't even try to put on the 2's, but there are several pairs I "could" wear. My five pound bounce around range makes it that dramatic of a difference 2 to 8. It is crazy, its not just you! |

| Foods | Fudge, that's right, I said the F word. | Jun 24 2009 20:33 (UTC) |

Love the methodology on that one! You gave me an idea. I got scared because your thought process took you to 105, BUT I cut that piece into 9 pieces. I actually (like a freak) just snuck into the kitchen with the postage scale, and this 1/9th piece of fudge was a little less than an ounce, and I went out to a website to convert, and it said that one ounce is 28 grams. I know density has to play a roll too so I just logged it at two servings of the 17 gram piece. I'll just call it done! those hungry girl recipes sound goood... oh and by the way, the fudge was worth the 140 calories I just logged. |

Wow, with the percentage of you that can't go, I'm realizing why its so important that I go! As for the 132 pound limit in ily's area, you are right, you could still do it just fine. I'm usually 110-120 when I give, and they just take 3/4 of a pint. Today I'm a voluptuous 127 so I can give the whole pint. I live in Texas so maybe there are just different req's. Also, you small veined people, are you drinking your water?? I understand if you are well hydrated they do plump up. That miracle magical H20 will help that. I'm sure some people just have thin veins though. I, on the other hand have big huge plumped up veins on both arms, the phlebotomist always says, "Ooo-nice veins". Wish I could get that complement on other body parts!! |

How are you feeling today? If you aren't having body aches I would still do something (maybe modify your intensity) today because I find after 3-4 days of not doing my routine it is MISERABLE to get back into it. Good luck & feel better! |

I agree with everything Ari said. I have had Mirena for 3 years, no periods, no problems. I was taken aback by the first day but after that, I wouldn't trade it for anything. |

| Motivation | Do I want to lose weight? I sure don't act like it sometimes! | Jun 18 2009 20:44 (UTC) |

Thanks for the replies! I do work out regularly. Fairly diversified activity too. From baseball to swimming and dancing to heavy yardwork! We do a dance party with our son on Fridays! Looking forward to it tomorrow, but my arms are so sore from playing b-ball yesterday. minda, I do agree about the health and exercise are the important part and the weight is the side effect. From my calcs, the amount I've gained in 15 months is the equivalent of an extra 120 calories per day through that period. I just stopped journaling, and that's what it crept up to. Still eating healthy and getting my exercise, just eating a tad too much. beasty, with that set of abs you should be happy everyday!!! :) My "curvy" part is the one that got messed with from being a nursing Mom, so they are very very sad when I'm at a much lower weight. They really depressed me. I have been trying to formulate my goals and I am getting there, but I don't have them yet, and that is why I'm having this battle. I've been in weight loss mode for a little over a week. What I'm telling myself right now is to split the difference (of 15) and stay in weight loss mode until I have lost about half of what I gained, and then just try to be at a maintenance level for a while and add more exercise. We'll see!

| Motivation | What To Do? WW or CC? | Jun 17 2009 20:38 (UTC) |

This made me curious, and I calculated my "points" on what I've eaten today, and they add up to 14 points, but I've only had 670 calories with an A- as my nutrition analysis grade. That would leave me with only 4 points for dinner, and I'd blow it and feel de-motivated, when I've really had an excellent day so far! |

I agree with Kashmir, it is more about healthy eating and less about the "D" word. I didn't realize how I fall short of calcium on a daily basis until I did the analysis, and my sodium intake was out of hand. I think CC gives you a more comprehensive look at your health and not just your "diet". I've only lost 3#, but I think I'm healthier already just trying to keep my fat and sodium below the suggested levels, and vitamins like A, C, and calcium up above or at the suggested levels. And I'm short so on WW I only get 18 points! Its ridiculous. That means my calories could be as low as 900 if I didn't get enough fiber in that day, and that's just dangerous.

Arugula Sandwich: (160 cals, Grade B-, but that is b/c of the cheese and us girls need our calcium). Spicy mustard and peppery arugula so yummy together. I'm an arugula nut though, I'll even eat it raw and plain like a chip! Ingredients: 2 slices nature's own double fiber wheat bread 1 slice reduced fat swiss cheese 1 tsp mustard (my favorite is Jack Daniels variety) 3/4 cups arugula Directions toast the bread, mustard on one side, cheese on the other, melt cheese on bread in microwave for 10-15 seconds to allow arugula to stick.

| Weight Loss | Weighing every day? | Jun 17 2009 18:44 (UTC) |

Every day! I lost 85# after my pregnancy. In a "relaxed" year, I gained a pound a month by not watching the scale as closely. Now the scale is in my kitchen on the floor in front of the pantry doors! I'm slowly creeping back down to my previous smallest weight, but I will not let myself go 2 days without weighing. I need the numbers to remind me that I don't want anything out of that pantry. |
