| I just FINISHED BIU!!! Of course, I did some... many, "modified" moves, but - I did the whole thing! Yay for me!! Yesterday I gave up, thinking it was going to be too hard... but, after making myself do it today - it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be!! BIU is definately more fast paced, the thing that made me give up yesterday were the kicks - I felt so uncoordinated, and couldn't go very fast... but, even after one day I noticed an improvement. Along with it being more fast paced, there are just way more movements, more lunges, more sets on the resistance band, oh, did I mention more lunges? |

| So, I tried BIU yesterday. Got through about 10 minutes. It's so much different! I wasn't expecting that much of a change. I think I'll stick with RIU for a while longer... | |||

| Sorry I forgot again this week! I only did RIU once last week - this week I'll be better! My boyfriend is coming in a week and a half - I was joking with him when I said that when he comes we should do BIU together - but he said he wants to! So, my motivation this week will be to get it down good so I don't look too stupid when he does it with me! | |||

| Tons! It was well worth the fortune I spent on the plane ticket! So - I just thought I would vent for a sec, but does it bug anyone else how Debbie - well, can't count?! You do 12 reps on one arm, 18 on the other - "4 more" can either mean 2 more, or 8 more. Seriously, it drives me NUTS! I love the video, but I can't stand doing more reps on one side! Has anyone else noticed this? |

| I have the same problem too - I have a huge gut, and I can't stand it! I just started doing Slim in 6, I lost an inch off my waist in only 5 workouts! It's pretty easy - movement wise, but it does work you out. I highly recommend it! | |||

| Once I only let myself have one slim-fast shake and one apple a day - for almost two weeks. I lost weight pretty fast then! :) However, that was short lived - the day I started eating I gained it all back. The things we do to try to loose!! But, really - like notalone said, is that slim fast is just a reduced calorie diet, but - you don't learn how to eat well at all. And - the not being hungry for 4 hour thing... yeah right! Count your calories - you'll do much better, feel so much better, and learn so much more. Also, take a look at the nutrition facts of a shake... it doesn't seem to me that it would nutritious enough to live on. |

| So, I just finished my first RIU. It wasn't really all that bad until I got to the butt excercises. Ouch! I could barely even do half of the reps. It was almost fun until I got to that point... Oh, and the stretches at the end - anyone else have trouble keeping their arms up, or their lunges stable? I didn't know stretching could be such a workout! |

| Slim-Fast Shakes and apples, one of each, every day. I dropped almost 15 lbs, but it only lasted two weeks. Subway won me over - and when I started eating again, I gained it all back. | |||

| That's so funny! I broke my arm a few months ago, and when I first got my cast on - I know I lost at least a few pounds, only using my left hand. My mom would called me once to ask how my arm was doing - I even told her that my broken arm was a GREAT diet! | |||

| Are you guys logging your excercise minutes on this site? What did you put it under? I have been using "Aerobic - Low Impact," which says burns about 380 calories an hour. Does that sound about right? The calories burned seems a little high for me, but - its the closest thing I can find... | |||

| When we get 2 points for each minute - that is each minute that we worked out with SI6? So, RIU would be 48 min... right? Also, if we do the Slim & 6-Pack, or the Slim & Limber, do those count for minutes as well? Also, what do you want us to report to you each week - inches, weight, minutes, and how many workouts we made it all the way through on... is that it? Maybe we could have another bonus for if we worked out all 6 days as well, what do you think? Sorry about all the questions - I just wasn't quite sure! Thanks! |

| I'm starting the second semester of my Junior year. I was lucky and didn't gain the Freshman 15, but... then, I gained about 20 lbs from my Sophomore year until now. It's so hard to find time to workout and cook good food - but I have found that the little things really do help me out. Like - walking to class or work, instead of driving... And not grabbing something fast for dinner. One of my favorite things to make is a chicken ceaser wrap. Every week I grill a few chicken breasts on my foreman, and cut them up in little pieces. I use about a 1/2 cup of chopped chicken breast for each wrap. I rinse my romaine lettuce off, then shake it in a tupperware container with a little bit of ceaser dressing. I have found that I use SO much less dressing when I shake up the salad instead of just pour the dressing on - also, the wet lettuce helps to dilute the dressing a little bit. Then, I add my warmed-up chicken and wrap the salad up in a spinach tortilla. YUM! Also, I have recently discovered how easy it is to freeze meals. For example, if I make some chicken enchiladas, I will freeze a few more meals. Then, I just thaw them out and cook them in the oven when I don't have as much time later. I like to have plenty of fresh veggies on hand for snacks. I don't even let myself buy junk anymore- I know if I buy a bag of Milano's with every intention for the bag to last a few weeks, it will only last a few days.. or hours... |

| Let your body rest! You can't expect it to get stronger, if it's always tired! Also, remember that resistance training is going to build muscle and tone, it won't take away fat just from that area. |

| Weight Loss | Do you count fat, carbs, sugar, ect? | Jul 23 2007 06:47 (UTC) |

| As far as I understand it - in the end, it's all about calories in and calories out, no matter where they come from. However, health, which is so much more important reflects a balanced diet. Most will probably suggest about 25% of your calories come from fats, 25% come from protien, and 50% come from carbs, and that you keep your sodium under 2300 mg a day. Lucky us, this site keeps track of all of that for us! | |||
| Weight Loss | Newbie question... | Jul 23 2007 06:04 (UTC) |

| If you put "Sedentary" then, the suggested 2050 calories a day would be for that activity level. If you start exercising more then, yes, you will want to add more calories to loose weight at the same rate. 2050 calories was suggested for you at the "sedentary" level - so, lets say you are burning 300 more calories exercising everyday, then - you will want to consume those 300 extra calories as well to loose at the same rate. Good luck! | |||

| My grandfather passed away and then I got in a car accident and broke my arm... I am definately an emotional eater, and let those events be excuses... excuses that lasted way longer than they should have. No excuses anymore though! I really feel like I will be successful this time. |

| Sometimes things happen that are out of our control... try eating a stick of cheese, or a spoon of peanut butter (yum!) - for an extra boost of calories. Start counting again when you are ready. I hope all is well. God bless. | |||

| I do the exact same thing! It's so much better to just not buy it, and not be tempted! I just bought a pack of mini-chocolate bars, so that I could have one every day to satisfy my chocolate crave. They lasted about three days... |

| Weight Loss | Does cellulite hit any age? | Jul 21 2007 23:55 (UTC) |

| I have cellulite too - but, i don't really think it matters on your size - it's just how your body works. I had a roommate who was barely 110 pounds that had cellulite, and she was definately not overweight or even close to it. I tried one of those cellulite-reducing creams for a while, and it seemed to help for me. Later, I found out it was due to the massaging of the area. I guess massaging helps even out where the fat is stored - or something like that. Try it out - massage any kind of lotion into your thighs or butt, whatever area has cellulite for about 10 minutes everyday - you will see a difference in a few weeks. I don't think there is any "cure," but that helped me! | |||
