Motivation What is your next planned reward? Feb 27 2007

I don't plan my rewards by weight lost, but by how well I stick to my resolutions.

I actually have a program on my treo (DORK! I know) that I plug in everyday whether I took vitamins, drank enough water, ate fruit, ate veggies, exercised, drank tea, and stayed under my calorie goal - and for every week that I hit 85% success rate (yes, we've been over this, I'm a nerd) I get a treat.  Treats have included, manicures, pedicures, or new article of clothing.  When it starts to get harder I want to include massages and trips to the amusement park.  But I have red_herring's problem...I forget to claim my rewards sometimes!

I hate it too.  Someone just brought in chocolate cake to work and I had a slice.  No biggie.  but when I went to log it...there were entries for chocolate cake ranging from 200 cals to 1200 cals.  It was on the decadant side, so I made an educated guess.  Still.  I hate not knowing.

Weight Loss body frame? Feb 16 2007

I think my body frame calculations are off too.  My thumb and finger don't come close to touching around my wrist, but my girlfriends touch no problem (around my wrist) and same on her wrist (mine don't touch, hers do).  I guess I just have small hands.  But if that's the case...then I have even more weight to lose than I though.  Ugh.

ice-cream.  any kind.  Mostly ben + jerry's.  There was a time that I ate a pint of ben and jerry's three or more times a week.

Now I get the Edy's Slow Churned...and still...I just can't seem to stop sometimes.  I don't want to cut it out all together, but I have so much trouble controlling my portions with it.  And I never get full off of it!!!  I can eat sooooooo much.

Thanks.  I guess I just needed to vent.  I'm glad I'm not the only one!  And especially glad that I didn't have to face a 15-16 pound increase!  If you guys can keep going, I guess I can too :)

This sounds amazing.  Like it was created for me.  I would like to know if anyone knows if it is unhealthy to do indefinately.  I could see myself eating every other day for the rest of my life.

Any calories in a margherita are killed by the alcohol.

And...as someone who struggles not only with weight, but budget...I tend to confuse money and calories in my mind.  Like if I get something on sale I think it has less calories.  Or free food is free of calories.  Ok...not really...but almost.

Weight Loss Over 200 club Jan 17 2007

Hi everyone,

I'm glad to see this club here.  I'm currently at 215 but peaked somewhere in the 230s.  My motivation (this time around) is to prepare my body for a healthy pregnancy.  This is the first time I've made this much progress and I think it's because I'm going at it from a big-picture approach for the first time.  I'm not just cutting calories, but exercising, drinking water, and taking vitamins.  And my goal is so much bigger than fitting into that old pair of jeans.  When I hit my goal weight, I'm going to enjoy it for a few months before I get knocked up :)
