Anything below 2400mg sodium or 6g salt is an acceptable level of salt.  We all need some salt in our diets.

Thanks for the info

70 calories is a treat?

Yes 70 cals. I assumed it was going to be about 150 cals, but to my surprise it was only 70. And it was so good!

Congrats on meeting your last goal!!

Well thank you! Treating yourself can sometimes be a guilty pleasure, like I assumed the yogurt was going to be about 150 calories but I thought it was okay since I've been taking care of myself, but when I realized it was about 70, it felt even better.  And at least you took care of yourself the rest of the day, once in a while is okay

Weight Loss Chucking the measuring tape instead of the scales? Jun 09 2009

Yea the best thing is to compete against your self. I, for example, have a very small frame, therefore I have small hips. But trust me, what i would not give to have larger hips :D

And measuring does work better for me, just because I've been excising to the point where I've built muscle, so the scale hasn't really changes much.

Health & Support gaining weight but still hungry. Jun 08 2009

What might help with midnight snacking is keeping a water bottle and a granola bar near your bed so you'll drink water, and if you still feel hungry eat the granola bar. Usually when you feel hungry at night, it's actually thirst but we confuse the feeling for hunger.

When you had a eating disorder you probably forgot how hunger felt, since you suppressed that feeling. Well now that you are eating healthy you are feeling hunger so it might be a little overwhelming. Eventually the feeling of constantly thinking of food will go away, don't you worry about that.

I do want to commend, applaud, the fact that you are trying to live a healthier life. You will get there, it might take a step at a time, but you will get there.

I just bought the GOLEAN and it has the puffed wheat. The cereal itself looks like dried dog food but its quite good with fresh strawberries or walnuts.

And its a A which is always great

I've recently rediscovered puffed wheat cereal ( I used to eat it as a kid!).  One cup is only 70 calories so you can have a huge bowl of it, skim milk, splenda and a sliced banana in it for about 300 calories.  YUM!  Oh yeah, it's cheap too, about $1 a bag.

Oh man i used to love that cereal!!!

I was trying to remembered the name but for the life of me i couldn't recall the name.

I researched the cereal you posted, and BAM its my long loved cereal

THANKS!!

Because my friend told me that If I do ab exercises without loosing the fat first all the fat is going to turn hard but i wont loose it and I might look firm but wide because the fat is just going to turn hard but not go away is that true? I need advice please help!Smile

We are about support here, I do not believe your friend is a idiot, she had the right idea. For example, what i think she meant is that if you just start with sit-ups the fat around your stomach will turn into muscle, since technically fat is muscle. If you want lean muscle you should run.

Also you should run because it greatly builds up your endurance so when you are ready to do full body, you'll be able to do it for longer.

PS: Fat does turn into muscle, for example, football players are big which makes them look fat, but its really muscle

I hope this clears anything up

I really am not sure if i want to get all the way down to my goal weight, or just until i feel or look healthier, but either way, i want to maintain it once i get there.

As long as your within a normal BMI level, and eat healthy (I don't have the mentality that eating healthy forcibly needs to be called dieting) you will be healthy therefore, look and feel healthy. Oh and as for cellulite, drink lots of water, preferably 8 cups a day, which is what you should be drinking anyways, and the appearance of cellulite will lessen. Trust me I know for a fact that worked.

Good luck reaching your ideal weight!

Weight Gain Guilt! May 20 2009
04:53 (UTC)

During the summer I rarely eat. Not because I don't wan to but because I'm not hungry. Last summer, I went down to 94lbs. What I did to get my weight at a more healthy range is I started eating snacks. Eat granola bars during lunch. Don't try to eat a large meal right away, start small and that way slowly expanding your stomach

Hopefully this is of help
