Hi Everyone!!  I hope I can get our team to get together and boost each other in our competition!!! 

I have yet to introduce myself..

22 year old PT worker PT student Full time mom trying to get iN SHAPE!!!

At a Height of 5'6'' Medium Frame,

My Heaviest was 205 (when I was pregnant)

Heaviest when I wasn't was 202 Early May 2009.

My average "fat" weight as an "adult body" was usually 165. 

My lowest was 109 with an ED.

I have been Obese and Anorexic....I am now, in a much better State of Mind...and love my body.

My Goal weight is 150...130 being Dream Goal..  I am here to get fit and Healthy. 

I'm really excited about getting to know all of you and your goals and dreams!!

I will try and contact each of you via PM and see If we can start supporting each other in this awesome challenge ..and on the same page  ;-)

Same here CrazyPotato- Good to have the support from S&L!  Here's to another 10 fun weeks!!!

I have found self-control again--no more binging I would say 94% cured.

Motivation--feel like everyday is a bright and limitless day.

Respect for my body--I had lost all hope before I started CC...and now like annasuzrekab said...every time I feel like giving up I think about CC, and that along with all of you, reminds me why I am on this journey.

OMG.. The challenge for this week is CRAZY WEIRD for me!!! 

I swear on my life (ok, I'm being a lil' dramatic) not 2 minutes before I got on the computer to post my weigh-in, I was putting broccoli and carrots in a bowl to snack on with my veggie dip and thinking to myself...

"what other veggies can I eat like this and not be the same ol'e selection of broc. and carrots??"

....I was about to do a search on the forums for veggies-- then---BAM, read the challenge and was like WHOA....craziness!

Congrats's and Great challenge Baby_Angel_Love....we are like totally on the same wave -length.

Week 6 Oct.15-17...177lbs.  I am so sick of not losing....

 

FOR THE CHALLENGE-

I tried spaghetti squash about a month ago and thought that was super.  I tried the star fruit about 6 months ago an thought that was... interesting...

I picked up an acorn squash today, haven't done anything with it yet.

Alfalfa sprouts on a tuna sandwich are extremely satisfying(provides good texture other than the tomato kale or lettuce).

Speaking of kale...KALE!!!  I discovered this after reading an article about foods we should be eating-but- are not.... WOW the nutritional value is off the charts and it is really not bad at all... You can put it on any sandwich and you won't taste it...In any veggies dish and it adds that much more value to your dish.  You can even make chips out of it!!!  Fun for the whole family  ;^) Here's that article http://health.yahoo.com/featured/14/foods-you -should-be-eating-but-aren-t

An alternative to starchy taters- Fennel Bulbs....I saw an episode of Giada at Home and tried her Fennel Puree recipe and it was sooooooooooooooo satisfying!  I use to be a potato bread and pasta addict, and now am happy to say ...I am no longer weak to my enemies!  This is the recipe.http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-l aurentiis/fennel-puree-recipe/index.html

I know cherries aren't an odd fruit ..but....I had to mention them, all summer long I ate deep red sweet cherries with my fruit salads and yogurt and salads and everything's.  I feel the same about pineapple too!

Week 5.   Oct 8-10   176.6lbs. 

I am going to try really really hard to lose 6/7 lbs. before the 30th.  I want to be 169 on Halloween.

I want to jump start my fat burning....I have been working on increasing my metabolism, now I just need some good advice for the most effective fat burning exercise. 

Anybody?!?!?!?

Yey!!!  Congrats everyone on losing! 

 

I finally am back to dropping after a two and a half weeks of nothing but up and down around 180.

This morning I was at 177.8!!!!

I am so pleased!

I was eating the "bare bones" minimum of 1200 cal. for the first 3 months of losing, and my body was really getting sick of it (I-mentally, didn't mind...but, THIS PHYSICALLY WAS JUST NOT REALISTIC TO SUCCESSFULLY LOSE MORE WEIGHT),I was hitting a plateau while only eating 1200 caloriesSurprised!!!!!!!!!!!

so

in the last two weeks of craziness, I stopped counting for a while...just trying to get my body use to eating more cal's. 

I did gain and lose around 3-5 pounds during this time.

but

  After I started with my new calorie goal of 1600 this week, I am happy to say I am back to losing while eating enough!!! 

AND HAVE LOTS OF  "N-R-G"!!!!!

It was a good learning experience!!

I can't wait until this weeks challenge!

September 25th: 179.3  Sorry guys for the abnormally late post, I have had a hectic few weeks and am just starting to get normal again...I haven't been eating accordingly, so,...... it is what it is....

 

My Trrrigers....I am like lillygirl as well, only that some of the "guilty pleasure" food doesn't string me along like it use to..  I don't feel as deprived if I don't eat the cheesecake or fried onion anymore.  I'm actually starting to have aversions for those things---just get nauseous, especially with the fried onion. 

I think I really just get frustrated when I can't figure out what is balanced and most nutritious--and what follows is a poor decision in quality, thus leading to the feeling of guilt and failure...and then....followed by more of the same.

EDITED TO ADD:  I just read the post above mine, and I have been doing the exact same thing....I KNOW I do better when I log my food, it really keeps me on track, Like I said up their^^ I have been involved in a very hectic few weeks so I haven't been as on track........ 

My triggers are the feelings of guilt and/or failure.

Once those have set in, it is hard for me to turn it around.

I think I will have to do some work on preparing a plan to keep me on track when my mind becomes weak, so that I won't be as likely to make those emotional decisions.

 

Thanks for another great challenge, It is always nice to be provoked to question why we eat the way we do.

Great Challenge!!!  I just started to eat spicier foods to help boost my metabolism.  I think I will try the exercising in the morning thing, fidgeting, and chewing gum!

So I am guessing we are suppose to post our new weight on a new posting?  I posted this last weeks weigh in on my original "weigh in post" and it didn't get posted on the "board".

CW: 180.8....I think is what it was.  unfortunately, I gained :(

I thought I was doing pretty good until I started seeing all of you guy's weight and Height.

 

I am 22,  5'6.5'' currently 179lbs. 

Looking to be at least 170.... (or less!!!  -fingers crossed/jogging up the stairs) by Oct. 31, 09'.

150 by mid Dec. 09'.

135 by next May.

 

I started at a gargantuan 200lbs. in May 09'.  I can say it was baby weight from 2 years ago right?????  Haha.

 

 

 

  ~~~Any of my fellow CC'ers in the 5'6''-5'7'' range that are still trying to lose a significant amount like me (more than 30lbs.), please feel free to message me if you would like to share advice!!

Why I am here............Well, I am a very introverted person when I am insecure about my size, and a lot of my socializing and happiness ceases to be.  As well, when I start to take care of myself and respect my body, I can tell an immediate difference in mood, personality, spirit, body etc. etc...  The most important aspect of it all for me is health...Bottom Line.  But all the added bonuses are fab. too. 

What is really great about the mood enhancement is that all the sudden people are really attracted to my spirit (character), and I am able to talk to them freely, without any shame or guilt- and this makes it easier to get to know someone!!

Taking care of my body today and today only, keeps me from any feelings of regret and unworthiness.  I love the CC community, and it just keeps me motivated and learning all the time!  I enjoy all of the positive attitudes that bubble up in all the forums.  This is pretty much why I am here!Laughing

Look, I know exactly what you went through, I just posted a very similar topic a few nights ago.

I got a lot of really great advice from my post and like everyone else has said, your body was in a bit of retaliation mode.  It was like gimme gimme gimme.  What

I did (for the next 3 or 4 days) keep in line with "healthy" eating, just adding some things I was forbidding myself to eat, ever so often.  So my body thanked me and I dropped -A Pound .2!! 

As well drinking plenty of water, hoping to flush all the nasty feeling away!

Voila'

DON'T sweat it, you will be "A OK"!
