So true about the crazy stuff, but this blog was about the packaged insert that came with the vaccination with information from the company that released  the shot.

Every medication in the world carries information from the company that makes it that could scare the pants off you if you let it.

Maybe that's why I hardly take medications, lol!

you know, I hear you on that - I don't take something for every little ache and pain, or sniffle, etc. I don't rush to put the kids (or myself) on antibiotics every time they have a cough. We as a society are WAY overmedicated.

However, I still feel very strongly about the importance of vaccines as a whole.

*EDITED TO BE MORE CLEAR*

People like to forget that before vaccines, people died every day of diseases we don't think twice about. And the reason we don't get those very diseases often today is because so many of us are vaccinated against them.

It bugs me when people don't get vaccinated don't "believe" in vaccines and act like somehow they are healthier than the rest of us - the reason people who don't "believe" in vaccines aren't dying from various diseases is because they rest of us DO get vaccines (therefore, helping to slow down/prevent the spread of those diseases).

I already got my baby the regular seasonal flu shot, and my whole family plans on getting both vaccines as soon as we can (they are currently running low/out where I am as well).

I've heard so many bad things about fake sugar I try to avoid it. I also try to avoid added sugars EXCEPT in my morning coffee. I mean, I want to lose weight and keep my blood sugar down...but I don't want to deny myself so much that I can't handle it and I end up binging.

So I say, if the Stevia doesn't work out, just allow yourself a cup or two with real sugar and make sure you are watching it everywhere else.

Good luck!

Vegetarian Low Carb Vegetarian? Jul 22 2009

I was just about to ask a similar question...

I have a mild case of PCOS that I was treated for with metformin so I could get pregnant. here I am 6 months after baby girl was born, watching what I'm eating (no white bread, not much rice/pasta/potatoes, not much sugar) and my blood sugar is even higher than it was before! Going back on metformin...

but my doc recommended I cut even more carbs...

Ugh. So frustrating. I want to get enough protein but it's hard to keep carbs low if most protein is from non meat/dairy sources.

Also, I'm breastfeeding so I need to eat 2000 calories a day (based on weight and activity level) to maintain my milk supply. That's actually hard to do.

I wish I had some advice to share. I want to keep checking out this thread, maybe we can help each other out. I'll keep track of what I'm eating and post some more in another week or so...

Vegetarian has this ever happened to any of you? Jul 20 2009

This is gross, but...when I was 17 and had been veg for about a year, I went to a family Easter dinner and ate ham to be polite. Immediately after, I had to use the bathroom...if you know what I mean....it was a good 30 minutes before I could rejoin the festivities.

The next year I ate only bread and salad, but also drank wine (on a nearly empty stomach) and then passed out on the couch (a salad and only 2 servings of bread, didn't want to be rude and eat the whole basket of rolls!). My mom was pretty pissed...

Ahh, memories

:)

Anyways, from what I understand (and forgive me if this has already been mentioned) it's your pancreas/bile that makes you have issues with meat if you haven't eaten any in a while.

I had a HUGE hole in the ceiling in an apt. I lived in years ago - top floor, caused by heavy snow, moldy exposed beams.

They were total a-holes. I finally called the health dept AND a news station that did an "On Your Side" advocacy type segment once a week. After both of them contacted the apt. managers, they fixed my ceiling and paid for movers to move me into another apt. in the complex.

Good Luck!!!

The money used for the bailouts is illegal anyways. There is not ONE constitutional law that states we have to pay federal income tax on wages earned. The 16th Amendment was never ratified.

Are you one of the anti-tax people? Just anti-income or anti-tax in general?
